I am 45 years married with a wonderful wife and 2 kitty cats.

My politics are left of center but have not always been that way. I was a centrist for a good many years. Age has mellowed me I guess. I do not tolerate bigotry in any form. I believe we are one world, one people, and share all the problems on this planet especially caring for the less fortunate.

My passion is gardening. I have gardens around my home divided into different garden rooms. They take the form of English Gardens, White Garden, Secret Garden, Winter Garden, Cottage Garden, Herb Garden, and Thyme Garden. The gardens are usually on tour each growing season.

I enjoy traveling and learning about and taking part in other cultures. Europe is my favorite place and I have often thought of relocation there. Paris is my favorite city and it is always hard to leave it to come home.

An accomplished cook, I prepare most meals here and enjoy throwing dinner parties for 8 or more.

I collect 18th and 19th century furniture and porcelains and enjoy art from the same periods.

I have been a deep water sailor, a musician at the symphonic level, civil rights activist, artist, and have served with or on the boards of Junior Achievement, Artist in Residency, St Vincent de Paul Society, National Association of Power Engineers, Labor Union Executive Committee, and as President of a local Historical Society. I also worked with the campaign of President Obama.

When I worked I was in charge of a power plant that generated electricity and supplied the processing steam for a major paper manufacturer.

For the last 15 years my wife and I have owned and operated a custom framing shop. This is mainly her business and I am the honey do man.Besides the framing we also handle 18th and 19th century art prints and etchings and maintain an art studio. We also maintain a studio Art Gallery of our original art.

I have a great sense of humor and very broad shoulders for my friends who need them. My greatest fault is that my mind never left the 1960's and the idealism of that period. So in a large part I am stuck musically, and culturally in that time frame. Of course the mind has wiped out all of the bad things about that same period, the assassinations, war, Richard Nixon etc.

I would rather see myself in the mud at Woodstock or smelling flowers in San Francisco. I am a dreamer............
