ewwwwwww
Now those are bad ones... Safely that Monkey did not jump on my back, but I feel your pain. I have a suggestion however, you know they make these little devises that are mostly found on kitchen counters that hold scraps, peelings you name it but not grease... it is a little baggy style holder that perhaps holds a pound or two of scraps... plunk one of those down next to the nut jar or candy plate, and make a little sign about big enough that a chipmunk could hold it and not look out of place...(however a chipmunk holding anything more then an acorn would look weird) perhaps they person or persons not taking care of their refuge will get the point...

Good ones Mel
Yeah I can't tell you how many times I have been somewhere eating and someone has to blow their nose... Oh by the way nose blowing is an act that can wait until one goes to the restroom. I mean unless you are dripping from nose to floor, get up man, and go do the restroom boogy...no pun... oh yes there was..

and those who do not say thank you or better yet give you the thank you that is really more like a bother then a Thank you.

and I truly hate bullies... good ones... Hopefully those are shed for awhile off your back

Repost Threats and yes, Thank You
Well, as some of you who are on my friends' list (and if you are not, just know anyone on there has asked to be my friend..I have rarely requested that from anyone) may have seen, I finally broke down and posted a bulletin this morning with the "friendship rose".
The sentiment is lovely and that anyone cares to call me their friend is an honor, but I have this..ok, pet peeve..about things that are passed around on the internet saying if I don't forward it on, repost, whatever, I will not be blessed, become rich, find my one true love..or am simply not a friend. I don't think God is hanging on to His blessings (and for me, any good that comes my way in life is from Him), waiting for me to forward some e-mail. And if my friendship is judged by what I send back to those with whom I have a friendship, then it's not much of a friendship after all. Phew..heady stuff being up on this soapbox.

As long as I'm up here, another pet peeve is when I hold the door for a total stranger (which I will do every time someone is coming in or out at the same time as I am, using a door in a public place...unless they do it for me..THANK YOU!) and they just breeze through without any acknowledgment, often not even a glance my way, as if it's just their due and my job. Very rude. I don't care how in a hurry they are, a simple smile, nod, or quick "thanks" takes no time at all and seems appropriate. But then that's just me...

Hope everyone has a great day..and don't forget to say "thank you" for doors held, or any other random act of kindness..and I hope you encounter many...

Great job Janet
I need to call a carpenter and put hand rails on our soap box. It does get scary up there weaving to and fro. I call you my friend and I know those internet pass-alongs drive me nuts too. And then (not to steal your thunder but to add to it) they will be just passed and passed and passed and people take those things for the honest truth and think if they don’t send them on to 10 or so people in the next five minutes their hair will fall out or turn purple…fat chance!!! Hang on I am looking for a mirror… Ok I am good
But to scare the bi-jesus out of everyone or to make others feel like they are not good as good can be because they did not follow the wacky inclinations of a person trying to tie up the internet highway with useless garbage is cruel
I also am with you and share the Monkey of the Non-Thank You for holding a door, My wife knows I will be a door man for wal-mart some day because of the constant door holding I do while we are shopping… Here is another.. Oh poooo I am now in the stealing your thunder parade of life.. I will hold my next peeve for another writer…or add my own in a second but, I stole the Monkey from my dear friend Janet…
Thank You for adding
Is it 1-800-carpenter?

Oh..along with those forewarded e-mails and e-mail etiquette in general, please, PLEASE do NOT put my and everyone else's e-mail address to whom you are sending in the To: field (use the Bcc: field as then each person will only see their own e-mail address and some privacy is maintained)..AND..please, PLEASE highlight and delete all the previous e-mail addresses in the body of the e-mail that were sent to previously BEFORE you send it along (same reason).

PS to Marty..I'm so dense..when you wrote "is it 1-800-carpenter" I thought you were referring to Jesus. I had forgotten all about the handrails on the soapbox. Geezzz.. LOL

Adding another Peeve if I may
People who can't push their Grocery cart to the Cart corral. I mean come on...you picked it up and used it, replace the dog gone thing back... how many times does a cart end up in the side of your car? Or better yet in a wind storm it looks like Ghosts are pushing the carts to and fro everywhere in the parking lot. I have more on the grocery store peeves but will let everyone get theirs out...

Janet I'm right up there on that soap box when it comes to those emails that tell me i've got to foward or I don't love Jesus or bad luck looms...I've never, I repeat never sent one on. What kind of friend would send these to me and take the chance I wouldn't send it on...and drop dead tomorrow. Hellooo If they don't recieve them from me it should be a clue. The next peeve still had to do with emails. I clean my box out every night and when I get home from work I have 139 emails that start out FW. I don't even read those either just erase. If I send someone a joke or whatever I copy and paste in a new email. One last thing, how can I stop the spam mail that fills my junk mailbox?? In 4 days I didn't check my email I had 1189 emails...It's out of control....and so am I...I'm through.
I feel better, thanks.:-)

Dear SweetLady
Spam is Spam is Spam...but it is not Ham... Just kidding, I feel your pain and am feeding the Monkey for you as we speak.

Email spam is a chore, but can be resolved a few different ways. One is costly, that is where most email systems give you the Opportunity to select a higher priced email system that has spam block... not fun, and not always a safe alternative.. They work, but sometime block wanted mail too.
Then there are those little areas in the free site email that give you email preferences and how to handle spam... again not easy but manageable.
Third there is change your email addy and re-up with a different carrier...but, because most free sites use the spam people to subsidize their costs... the linger in again.. But thing you can do, is ever so often clean the cache out, do not allow cookies and get a free service like LAVA-SOFT, it will help stop and delete some, some not all pass through email spam...But as I said darling it is a thing we all must live with, but can be semi managed.
