hi im leah and i make child blankets by sewing machime mostly as a hobby and giving away most of them for new moms in church groups and so far i have made about six blankets, three padded bed headboard covers, a table cloth this year so far. i have a sewing room in the basement of the house and its great there to sew alot. what kind of projects do the rest of you do here? i have pics of most of my work too if want to see them upload to this site but ask me first about it. thanks so much and take care and thank god leah :)

make a blanket easier

hi there sewing people and quilters i sew a blanket by cutting material and batting to 45 in by 60 in and one side is flannel and other side is sheet material and i make it one big area and sew the edges then pin down and across at 12 in wide and length the aquares and then sew the blanket on those pins and then can add applicates or pocket on outside of it and then edge with baby blanket edging ribbon and it take about one to three weeks to make and depends upon time to sew and getting away from computer time take care thank god and bless you all leah lynsee cain

new machine class today

hi i took a class today on my new sewing machine viking emerald 118 model class and it was good and fun and intensive. took me three sews to do a buttonhole but it worked ok. looking forward to making more projects soon with it. take care. leah lynsee c
