Bob Anderson, founded the Raptor Research Project He started up the Decorah Eagle Nest Cam. Before he died he was in the midst of planning for a replacement of the eagle pair's nest N2 - they still had/have N1 in the territory but no longer raise young there As N2B is in a good, sturdy and tall tree near the one that came down, August it was rebuilt, by volunteers, the eagle pair started restorations a month or two later they were getting ready to lay eggs that month! Cam is active and can be watched 24/7 Bob Anderson, RIP July 2015
Eagles feathers repel the water,
their down undercoat remains dry and warm.
They are very well constructed for life in Iowa
