Reading about anything, playing omputer spades. Sewing, doll collecting (for grand daughter to be born in September but really for me). Antiques, yard, thrift shops, crossword puzzles, music of all kinds in the form of old lps, photo editing. Combating bigotry and intolerance.

Most of my adult life I worked with children or produced educational materials for children.

I was married in 1972. We separated 5 years ago. Though permanent we have not divorced for financial reasons.

I love a good conversation and an exchange of ideas. However the last 5 years of living alone have been the most liberating time of my life.

I have 4 grown children, 3 girls and 1 boy. Two grandsons and 2/3 of a grand daughter.

The honesty and joy of children is unsurpassed. Too bad we waste most of our adult life trying to kill it.

Like auntie Mame says "life is a banquet and most poor fools are starving". Pig out and pass it along.

Intelligence, good grammar,good spelling, (because I can't) laughter, but not laughing after kicking you or saying poop or pee pee. Kindness and long hair. The smell of violets, a baby,a new composition doll, oil paint, a man after a hot day of manual labor. Genuine sacrifice for the good of others. A positive attitude, tolerance, sympathy and empathy.

Cruelty, Hurtful comments, arrogance, greed, child abuse, ignorance and bigotry.
