Jack of all trades, master of some. Became a RN in 2002. Currently retired. I spent most of my life fixing things, such as electronics, plumbing, electrical, commercial building systems, and lots of other stuff. I pick appliances and other things up from trash, fix them and usually give 'em away. My first decent computer was made from stuff a local bank threw away.
Twenty nine years ago, I began working as the maintenance guy at a nursing home. That's where my interest in nursing began. As it turns out, maintenance/repair and nursing skills is a good combination.
I am blessed with a wonderful marriage, two kids who eventually got their lives together and four grandkids who are too nice to their parents, considering how much of a hard time their parents gave us. ;)
I don't have much time to spend online, so don't feel bad if you message me and an answer doesn't come very quickly, but I appreciate your positive messages.
Update 10/2019: I'm now a great grandparent x2.
