No man can be called friendless who has God and the companionship of good books. ~ Elizabeth Barrett Browning

"You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me."

"Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever...it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything." ~ Aaron Siskind

Because they were created in His image, God gave men and women a privileged place among all creatures and commanded them to exercise stewardship over the earth (Genesis 1:26-28; Psalm 8:6-8). Stewardship implies caretaking, not abusing.

(1)Travel

Hello! My name is Janice. I live in the Ozark Mountains with my husband Joe, our cat, Garfield and boxer puppy, Briggs. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in education and found my dream job where I teach pre-k / kindergarten students at a nearby preschool. I have a deep passion for children, and a love for art and music. In the last two years, I have learned a great deal and continue to grow and develop.

Love One Another

As I prayed last night, I found myself drawn to a few phrases of Scripture, but none more than Jesus’ mandate to us to love one another as I have loved you.

I was particularly drawn to the “as”… how has Jesus loved me? How am I to love others? The short answer is: completely. But other descriptors amplify. He loves:

fully aware of failings;
in faithfulness;
in unbelief;
to an unmeasurable measure;
for all of known time and more;
in lack of understanding;
in moments of clarity;
in defiance;
in relience;
in service;
in hesitance;

(1) People who judge other people

As the Bible says "Don't judge others unless you want to be judged."

Because you never know what that person has been through, where that person has been, what that person has seen, or what is in that person's heart based on appearance, until you have taken the time to get to know that person.

Unfortunately, you just might walk past a person who could make a difference in your life!
