I had left Ontario Canada in 1971 to move to Alberta to me it was Gods Country . i have now moved back to Ontario in 2002 , Happy to say that we have remain friends and still are so for 50 years I could write a book but this is not about me it is about my friend . Friendship is a gift and I treasure mind .
On April 1, 1975, Barbara Houghton was one of 53 people who boarded covered wagons and headed west from Ontario in what was meant to be a four-month adventure. Seventeen months later, she was one of only two who arrived at their destination.
