I would like to wish all of our friends a Merry Christmas!
Since Harry passed away I don't want to change anything on the pages. I want to leave everything just as Harry left it, but as the Christmas Season has arrived and I know how much Harry loved sharing all of our Christmas photos and music, I invite everyone to check out this web page on My Boomerplace. thisiselvis, Harry was working on making this a permanent Christmas page. We both loved the Christmas decorations and music. I am not too sure of how to do things on the web page here but I want to invite everyone who would like to listen to Harry sing to visit our Youtube page to check out the Christmas videos there, https://www.youtube.com/user/SandyandHarryMusic
Harry and I had so much fun creating those videos, with our imaginary drummer Henry the monkey. He became a part of us.
I am so blessed to have shared 7 years of life with Harry. He was an amazing person so full of love and life. Although I miss him every single day, I know I am lucky to have known him. Good people like that are rare to find.
Thank you for your friendship and kind words. They do mean so much to me!
On Halloween night we saw the lady in white The whole town of Easton was up in a fright And no one could sleep the rest of the night We were all afraid of that lady in white
So when I was young I got dressed up as a bum I couldn’t wait to fill my bag with candy and gum Hoping the lady in white wouldn’t come If she did, I would surely run
When I was small, I built a house on the ground And I was the one who had to lug all the wood around I wanted to be sure that the house was sound So that the lady in white couldn’t knock it down
In order to build a fence We had to dig a really big trench My brother Ronnie, me, and my friend George French We were the ones who built the fence
My cousin Karly he would say, “It looks nifty†Look at you now your way more than fifty But I can see you still are shifty And it won’t be long; you’ll soon be sixty
When it snowed we had no school And we all thought we were really cool We’d go outside and step on a stool So we could sit upon my little mule
We sat on our stools and watched the cars go bye Hoping that someone would wave, “Good-bye†We always wondered why that lady died That was the day we let out a sigh
I didn’t have many friends growing up I spent most of my time drinking seven up My mother bought me a little pup And hoped that he would shut me up
I remember putting on a TV and my eyes would glow When I saw the Howdy Doody Show I would sit there with a runny nose While my mother changed her panty hose
At the cemetery the night was clear We were all waiting for that lady in white to appear But all we saw were little deer And we knew the lady had to be near
The cops would say there’s no such thing Get the Hell out of here. You ding-a-ling, Whom do you think you are? The King! But we knew the lady would do her thing
All I knew is that there was quicksand in back of the church So I would sit with the crows upon their perch We were all sitting on one big birch And one of my friends said, “Hey you look just like Lurchâ€
If you don’t think, this little story is true Ask the old man sitting next to you Just be sure he doesn’t have the flu For if he does it will surely make you blue
I worked on cars most of my life But now I found a pretty wife I won’t have an ugly wife for the rest of my life And that’s the one thing that’s really nice
I’ve grown up now just think of that I now have a little girl that we call Nat And every day we pray that she never gets fat But for now she plays with our awful looking Siamese cat
I bought a kite from the store by the way But I never flew it. It just blew away Tomorrow will be another day And that’s the day I get my pay
We used to sit upon our stoop There was me and my friend, Paul Trup He’d shoot up the mountainside and we’d run up the chute We got so scared that we all got the croup
He took us down the road to look for a ghost And I didn’t have time to finish my toast I always tried to make the most Out of that ghost that finished my toast
One Halloween night we rode around in Wilkes fathers’ car And all our candy we hid in a jar The car was old so we didn’t get far Or maybe it was because we were stuck in the tar
The next day we looked and our candy was gone That’s because we dropped it all over the lawn And some was eaten by a little fawn I think this happened just before dawn
A ghost must have come in and put on the light Because we never saw anything that gave us a fright We were just happy it wasn’t that lady in white For if it was we’d be up all-night
We locked our doors but that didn’t matter He’d peek through the window and didn’t need a ladder All of our teeth began to chatter And all of my friends began to scatter
That night we slept all in one bed Hoping the next day, we wouldn’t be dead We didn’t want our faces all droopy and red And none of us wanted to lose our head
Next year we’ll sleep with guns in our room Because what we saw was a witch on a broom And since we didn’t want to meet our doom We will all sleep till way past noon
There are no such things as ghosts or that lady in white So I say to you, “Goodnight and sleep tightâ€
As we passed the cemetery in my pickup truck, we would always stop and turn on the light We would be looking for that lady in white
So if you see us say, “GOOD LUCK!†Because if we see her, we’ll be screaming, “Oh FUdge!â€
