What do dreams mean?  A week ago I had a dream that I've spent a lot of time thinking about.

Maybe I've watched too much Clifford The Big Red Dog with my Granddaughter...but this is the dream and what I think it meant.

I was sitting inside my house...and looked out the window of my living room to see a giant cat...not just a big cat...but a giant cat that was taller than the houses.  I watched as it walked by.

It was a domestic cat...all muli-colored...I think they call them a Taby. (?spelling.lol)

Anyway...I grabbed my rifle and ran out of the house.  I remember thinking this cat was so big it could eat humans in a single bite.

Other men ran out of their houses and we started shooting at the giant cat. 

This giant cat then leaped over the tops of the houses and we all followed as quick as we could.  It stepped over the side of a stadium...and all of us men shuttered as we talked about what would be happening inside.  The giant cat was surely in there eating one person after another...we could hear screams and lots of noise.

With our rifles to our shoulders...we slowly entered the stadium...to find this gentle giant cat laying on its side, across the seats in one end of the stadium.  It was so large its tail was sweeping across the end zone and its head was near the top row of seats.

It just layed there...purring as thousands of children were gathered around it...petting it and stroking its fur.

We lowered our rifles and stood there watching.  And then I woke up.

I lay there thinking how it must have meant we all must start viewing things a little different...that what we might think for sure is a threat...might not be such a threat after all.  I remember thinking that our children are the future...and how maybe we do not give them enough credit for their understanding sometimes.

This dream...I had it about 2-3 days before Rep. Giffords was shot.  That maybe it was already in my mind...that we must change the way we think.  But...like most dreams I did not give it that much thought.  Now I'm not so sure.

While the Left & Right continue to blame each other, I'm saddened even more.  After the Oklahoma City bombing...we did not point fingers...we came together and mourned as a nation.

When all those people died at Waco...we mourned as a nation...and later there was investigations. 

This time...we are all at each others throats...and the bodies of those gunned down are not even buried yet.

Politicians are all over the news using this incident as a springboard to create much tougher gun legislation.  It's really sad.

I hope President Obama says the right things tonight.  To bring this country together to mourn...to help us on the road to healing this hurt on our hearts.

Pray for America...Pray for those who lost loved ones...and those who are laying in hospital beds clinging to life.  Pray that Justice will take the right path...whatever that may be.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates said today that North Korea will have a nuclear weapon that could possibly reach the United States within the next five years.

Which is bad news…but I salute President Obama for having someone in his Administration to come out and be honest about the situation.

And…I also think it is a good thing and the right decision for President Obama to clear his schedule and attend the funerals of those murdered in Tucson during the assassination attempt on Rep. Gifford.

I’m sure President Obama will speak at the gathering, and I hope he says things that I can agree with.  Like asking ALL Americans…both Left & Right to tone it down a little and show more respect for each other when debating the issues.

There is no excuse for the way I’ve blogged over the last couple of years.  But…this incident has caused me to do some real deep self reflection.

Why did I call The President Of The United States such ignorant and childish names?  I’m going to answer that…and some may not like the answer…

Many people did not like George W. Bush…but I really loved the guy as Our President.  And for eight long years I listened to him called some of the most insulting names.  Shrub…War Criminal…Hitler…Nazi.  These are just a few of the names…and I’ll limit it to that for an example.

I watched on television as people could not even let the man have peace when he went to his ranch in Texas.  They camped outside his driveway and held up some pretty bad signs.

When President Obama was elected…I was able to switch from being on the defense…and I went into overdrive offense mode.

Like a little child…I threw those names right back at President Obama without even thinking about it.  I’d learned much from watching how extreme politics worked while President Bush was in Office.

They actually put out a movie…”Death Of A President” in 2006…depicting the assassination of President Bush.  That was about the most extreme thing I’ve ever seen in politics…and I seethed with anger…I’ve never seen anything from The Right Wing that could top that.  Liberals jumped with joy over the movie…and saw nothing wrong with it.  I wonder if they feel the same way now…after the shooting of this beautiful lady…a woman who cared enough about her country to serve in public office.

I’m not making excuses for my childish behavior…I was wrong.  I’m saying that we learn by example…and I should not have let a poor example be the path I chose.  It’s my fault…nobody made me act like a child.  But I did learn that behavior from watching people on the otherside of the aisle.  That…I’m being honest about.

Today, I listened to Randi Rhodes make the claim that nothing on the Left is even close to the rantings from Beck, Limbaugh & Hannity.  Did she allow someone to get on the air and explain that Ed Shultz & Mike Malloy openly wished on the air for the assassination of Bush?  Nope.  Did she even mention the movie depicting the assassination of Bush?  Nope.  She was not honest…and I’ll not listen to her anymore.

Later…I listened to Mark Thompson on his Program, “Make It Plain” and he did the same thing.  I’ll not listen to him anymore either.

See…I listen to more Left Wing Talk Shows than I do Right Wing.  I like to hear other opinions and it makes me think through the issues.

Because of the dishonesty of not presenting the issues fairly…these two people lost a listener today.  What they are doing is just trying to keep the hate going…as it is their business to do so.

While the Left is blaming the Right…I don’t hear that from Right Wing Talk Shows.  I hear the Right saying there is no evidence that this nut bag listened to either side of the talk show spectrum.

One of his classmates said he was a dope smoking Leftist.  Should we believe he was Left Wing and shot Rep. Gifford because she was a Blue Dog Democrat?  I don’t think so!  That’s my opinion.

I did not give President Obama a chance…and though I still do not agree with most everything he has done, I will contiune to try to show him the respect he deserves as President Of The United States.

(Note:  I posted this on my other blog.  When I use the word knuckleheads...it is meant for that site and not my good friends here at myboomerplace.  The point is the same though...I really want to change how I express myself.)

I've spent a lot of time today...thinking about all that has happened the last week.  Multiple package bombs to Government Buildings...a Representative and many other people shot and killed.

It saddens me...and I know that somehow...I've got to change the way I express my opinions.

Recently...I was told I'm "often irrational" and there is some truth to that.  The name calling I've been doing must stop...and I will from this time forward always refer to President Barack Obama by his name and title.

This is a big step for me...and it will not be easy...as I'll have to fight that inner desire to express myself in my nasty old childish way.

Nothing has changed though...about my opinion of The Obama Administration or the Policies of this President.  What I'm talking about here is expressing myself in a more mature and respectful manner.

Do I think President Obama has done anything that was good for America since he has been in Office?  Nope...that has not changed.  But I'll not fan the flames of anger in this country by calling him childish names.

More than likely...I'll continue to disagree with just about everything he does...unless he moves more towards the center.

I've closed down my My Space Blog...as it was useless anyway.  I've not been able to read my messages or comments over there since they made the big change.

And...I've removed all of the blogs I had on that site.  They serve no purpose but to inflame anger if anyone would stumble on them.lol (I never had that many readers anyway)

I'll no longer use the word "hate" when talking about President Obama...but I will use the term "dislike" instead.

In other words...I'm really going to make an effort to tone it down.

Do I think Progressivism is Communism?  Yes...and I still do not like how it looks that Our Government has taken control of so much Private Industry since President Obama took Office.  When you couple that with so many Socilists and Communists that have been appointed as Czars in this Country...it does not look good in a small mind like mine.

Both Republicans & Democrats have been using language that should not be used in the Political Arena of this Country.

As far as you knuckleheads...I doubt much will change.  If you come at me and call me names because you don't agree with me or can't change my opinion...then you'll probably get the same in return.

But WE don't count.  Our opinions are just that...opinions.  We are not voting on issues and deciding that fate of this Nation.  We are just expressing our views.

So...there it is.  Call me names...goad me...and let's get it on.  But feel free to remind me of what I've said here in this blog.

I could give you a list of all the nasty terms I've used in the past...but many of you already have seen me use them so many times it would be pointless.

I like to think we've grown the last couple years...but maybe we are just working harder at tolerating each other.  Whatever it is...I appreciate it.  And it is sad that so many people had to be hurt and killed to wake me up to being a better person...a better blogger.

Hurricane Katrina had already passed through…President Bush had been on the ground the next day…and had advised the Governor she should call out the National Guard.  She ignored his advice…and the levy broke on the lake.

I was one of 180,000 truck drivers that the Federal Government called upon to bring aid to the people of New Orleans.

And I was sick with the flu…bad sick…the worst case of flu I ever had.  I was so sick…I could not speak for three days.  I’d lost my voice and had to carry a pad and paper around to just communicate with people.

I loaded bottle water in South Carolina…and with a very high fever…I started southwest towards New Orleans.

Air America was on the radio…and I listened to Mike Malloy for hours.  Mr. Malloy was ranting how ignorant people like me were…how we were stupid and didn’t know what we were doing.  He railed on and on…talking first about President Bush…then about the Aid Workers…then about us stupid truck drivers and how we didn’t know what we were doing.

I drove and drove…sick as a dog…all night…because I knew there was Americans that needed the water that was on my trailer.

The next morning…I unloaded my water at a drop area outside New Orleans.  It was a bad situation…but I’d done my best, when I was feeling my worst.

For years I’ve tried to get on Mike Malloy’s radio program…as I’d like to confront him and demand an apology.  But Mr. Malloy does not take many callers that disagree with him about anything.

He is a coward.  Do you know him?  Mike Malloy is the Talk Show Host who has said he wished madness on Sarah Palin…and he wished death on Rush Limbaugh.  The same Mike Malloy who said somebody should take Bush out while he was President.  Of course…Mike Malloy is not alone in that area…I heard Ed Shultz make the same statement on his show.

I’d like to ask Mike Malloy…”How much water did you deliver to the people who suffered Katrina?”

None of us truckers that delivered aid to the people of Katrina ever got so much as a “Thank You” from anybody.  We did not do it for a kind word.  We did our jobs…we delivered what people needed during a National Crisis…because those were our fellow Americans that were in need.

What did Mike Malloy do?  Made our jobs just that much harder.  And Mike Malloy could not do the jobs we do…all he can do is run his mouth…because he is a coward.

We all must "change" the way we think.  I've learned this from watching the people on the Left.

When Bush invaded Iraq...for what the Leftists claimed was oil...they all said, "That's Wonderful Mr. President!"

When Bush pushed through the Patriot Act...the Leftists said, "That's Wonderful Mr. President!"

The Leftists never called President Bush any names...or claimed he was like Hitler...they never said Bush was the World's Biggest Terrorist...or anything like that.  It was all in my imagination.

Talk Show Hosts Mike Malloy and Ed Shultz never said over the air that the country would be better off if someone took Bush out...that was all in my mind.

So...we must learn to program our minds.

You want to force people to buy Health Insurance and spend a fourth of their income on it Mr. President?  That's Wonderful!

You are giving a billion dollars to the Taliban in Afghanistan (Oct 2009) Mr. President?  That's Wonderful!

You are raising our fuel cost to $5 a gallon this year and $7 a gallon next year Mr. President?  That's Wonderful!

You've created 13 hidden taxes in the Health Care Bill Mr. President?  That's Wonderful!

You have bowed down to five Foreign Leaders Mr. President.  That's Wonderful!

You have appointed admitted Socialists and Communists as Czars in this country Mr. President?  That's Wonderful!

You want to raise the Debt Ceiling again Mr. President?  That's Wonderful!

Wonderful...Wonderful....Wonderful...everything is WONDERFUL!

So...you Leftists have taught this old country boy a lesson.  I will from this day forward...never disagree with anything Our Government does.

Could we all get together and have a group hug?  It would be Wonderful!!!

And I'd like to thank the Liberal Democrats for leading by example and showing me how I should be accepting of Our Government.

Now...lets all hold hands and sing "Puff The Magic Dragon" together...that would be Wonderdful!

Was it the Talk Show Hosts that encouraged him?

Was it video games or music?

Was it bloggers that dare to voice their opinions?

Maybe...it was because his father spanked him once when he was 3 years old?
