It's time to make a confession to all my friends... I am and always have been a long haul truck driver. And I work for a trucking company based in Phoenix, AZ. From there...I travel from coast to coast & border to border. Not many people know which company I work for...because of obvious reasons.lol I'm too opinionated...and the people I work for got better things to do with their time than answer calls from people that hate me from my blogs...lol I spend about 340 days a year in the truck...but I do have a 2nd job. Now the confession... For the last ten years I've worked for a cab company in Phoenix. The name of the company will be kept private for the same reason.lol But...I enjoy driving a cab in the big city. 
I've decided to come clean and tell you all this...because I've decided to start sharing some of the things that happen to me and people that I meet while I'm out hacking around Phoenix. Often I return to Phoenix from some distant place off the east coast in the morning and get behind the wheel of the cab that evening and hustle people around The Valley of the Sun all night long. This past week, my truck was having a major overhaul on the motor...so I've been hacking and enjoying the extra time with my family. So...now you'll understand if I post a story about something that happened in the cab. Sure...driving a cab is dangerous...but trucking is dangerous too...and everything I've ever done in my life has some form of danger involved. So now...those of you that want to discredit me for my occupation...lol...you'll have two categories to choose from! lol Examples; 1. What would you know...you're just a stupid truck driver. 2. What would you know...you're just a stupid hack! Oh well...everybody has got to do something...and me...I'm just and old truck driver/hack. I'm rolling out this afternoon for Austin, TX and points east...will be back on to check with you...my friends...in the next couple days. Ya'll say a prayer for Brian Mann...he was shot to death in his cab in Phoenix earlier this month. Though I only met Brian once...he seemed like a really nice guy. He was only 37 years old when he was shot down...and leaves behind a wife and kids... They caught the woman who did it...and I hope she recieves her just rewards. This is my 9th Great Grandfather...his name was Epke Jacobs Banta. He was born in 1619 in Holland. NEW YORK

EPKE, the son of Jacob, whose descendants took the
name Banta, was a farmer at Oosterbierum, near the en-
trance to the Zuyder Zee, in Friesland, when his second son
was born, in 1654. He soon moved to a neighboring vil-
lage called Minnertsga, where his next three sons were
born. With his wife and five sons he went on board the
ship De Trouw, early in 1659, an d sailed from the port of
Harlingen, paying 159 florins for the passage.
Epke settled at Flushing, on Long Island, and in 1662
was known as 'the worthy Epke Jacobs, innkeeper." In
1671 he bought a mill in the adjoining town of Jamaica.
Two or three years later, Epke moved to Bergen, New
Jersey, and was of sufficient prominence to be made a mem-
ber of a Special Court of Oyer and Terminer in 1679.
In two years he moved again, settling at Hackensack, where
he purchased 183 acres 'lying and being upon the New
Plantation upon the Hackinsack River."
There is little of record to give personality to the life
of Epke Jacobs as he is called in the excellent Banta
Genealogy. He was thrifty and he prospered, rearing five
sturdy sons, who married in their time. His wife's name
is unknown, although she was recorded as a passenger in
the ship De Trouw, in 1659. Epke was arrested by the
high sheriff of Bergen County, in 1686, together with other
large land owners, 'for a Riote by them comitted in the
s' County, and for Refuseing to obey the King's authority
there," and were committed to the 'Com'on Gaole' at
Woodbridge. The affair seems to have had to do with the
legality of rents laid upon Dutch settlers by the proprietors
of the province of East Jersey. Epke showed his good
spirit, but took counsel of discretion, paid his rents, and was
discharged from custody. (So...it's in my bloodline to protest authority...it ain't my fault.lol)
His oldest son, Cornelius, was born in Friesland in 1652,
and four other sons, named Seba, Hendrick, Derrick, and
Weart, were born before the migration. Jannetie, the
oldest daughter of 'Cornelius Epke," married at Hacken-
sack, 22 August, 1696, Johannes Meyer, of New York,
and the marriage record gives thebride's name as "Jannetie
Cornelese Banta." This was the first use of the Banta
surname in America. Whence it came no man knows, but
all the male descendants of Epke, the son of Jacob, of
Oosterbierum, adopted it forthwith. The immigrant at
this time was very old, or perhaps he had died.
His portrait in an oval, but in a square frame, bears in
the corners this inscription, "^Etatis Suae 31, Anno 1650."
He was born, therefore, about the year 1619 ; and in 1686,
when he is last referred to, was a man of sixty-seven years
of age.

The Government says these body scanners are 99.99% safe...but they admit the scanners do cause cancer. That means 1 out of every 10,000 people will get cancer from the use of these scanners. On any given day, 1.5 million people fly...and if each person uses the scanner...150 people will get some form of cancer. They estimate 2 million people flew today...which means 200 people will suffer cancer because of the scanners. Once again...Osama Bin Laden is winning. Barack Hussein Obama is smiling...as Americans willing accept cancer in the name of Safety. I don't believe most people would accept these odds...if they realized how unsafe these body scanners really are.

What will the end result be with all this "Class Envy" the Democrats keep throwing around? Look at what's happening in America. The well known publicist Ronni Chasen was murdered recently in Hollywood. Do you really believe it was some hit man from the Mafia? I've heard people making that claim...and I don't know what to think? Maybe it wasn't a hit man...maybe it was just some confused and misguided person who is caught up in all this talk of class envy. Someone who saw what they perceived to be a rich person driving a Mercedes and decided to make them pay...with their life.  We've heard the Democratic Party beating the drum of class envy very loud in recent months. "The rich don't pay their fair share!" "The Republicans want to give tax breaks to the rich!" When really...the Republicans want to give tax breaks to everyone... Did you hear that...EVERYONE...which is fair or equal. Democrats want to discriminate and give tax breaks to everyone EXCEPT one class of people. ??? But...I'd like to know the statistics on how violence against the wealthy has risen in this country. As far as what happened to Ronni Chasen...it is sad...but imagine some ignorant person that might have seen her zipping around Hollywood in a Mercedes and thought..."There is one of those evil rich people that doesn't want to pay their fair share...I'll make her pay...with her life!" It is never good to pit one class of people against another. The Democrats have pitted ONE class of people against all other classes...and violence is on the rise against those who are perceived to be wealthy. It makes me sad....

Some bob their heads in time with the music, Others hurry home to watch the football game or some other sporting event. Or Dancing With The Stars, Desperate Housewives or American Idol. I guess we need those distractions...to keep us calm and unfocused on what is really going on around us or we'd go crazy. If we took the time to pay attention...would it make a difference? It seems that when the people get together and speak in a loud enough voice...the Politicians do hear us. This last election proves that... I'm gulty...I enjoy watching a little football...so I'm talking about myself here also. But we cannot close ourselves off from the world...and think anything is going to change. We need to write letters, call our Representatives...call the White House Opinion Line...express ourselves on Radio Talk Shows and Protest! If we close our minds to what is happening in the world...than we have no Right to complain when it spins out of control and suddenly crashes. A little distraction is healthy...but to isolate yourself from the world and think anything will change is living in denial. If you want to continue living as free people...you need to get involved...NOW!

So...I've noticed that this site has removed the Hot Tag for Politics.??? Maybe I joined the wrong site...maybe this was just a place for people to gather and share their poetry and do not want to think about such things as politics. Guess I'll have to post my political blogs in places that have Hot Tags that show up all the time....like Poetry...or Writing.... Hmmm...maybe I should try my hand at poetry. Here goes! Dirt. It's dirty and makes me unclean, It gets on my clothes and in my hair, on my hands and face, Dirt...it's dirty! Well...how'd I do? Was it drippy enough? Next time I'll make up a poem about birds...while Iran keeps building Nuclear Weapons and North Korea keeps expanding their Nuclear Program. Drip, drip, drip...this place is such a trip.

It was 1964... "Johnson Johnson, he's our man, Goldwater belongs in a garbage can!" I was in 2nd Grade...the Teacher holding a mock election...oh how she guided the votes of those little minds of mush. And I...was a seven year old boy who paid attention. I watched the evening news...while my classmates read their comic books. And I read the newspaper...while my friends watched cartoons. Yes...In the whole class it was only a couple of us that had the guts to cast our votes for Goldwater. And kids can be cruel...they had been guided so well into voting for Johnson by the Teacher... Just a couple years later...I happened to hear that same Teacher saying how much she hated Lyndon Johnson for getting us so deeply involved in the Vietnam War. I'd heard her while I was walking by the Teachers Lounge and thought about it for several days. When all the other kids went out for recess one day, I took a visit to her classroom. She was applying a fresh coat of lipstick when I entered the room. I said, "I guess President Johnson really turned out to be the war monger after all...huh?" Well...that didn't go over too well.lol Okay..it's time to explain. Lyndon Johnson had ran an ad during his Campaign claiming Goldwater would get us involved in a Nuclear War. It was called the "Daisy Ad." It was a little girl picking the petals off a daisy; she counted 1, 2, 3, 4....and so on. Then a deep voice came on the screen counting...10, 9, 8, 7...and when the voice got to zero...the televison lit up with a Nuclear expolsion. It scared the hell out of everyone. It was my first lesson in the Democratic Party's fear mongering. It's been almost fifty years and the Democratic Party is still using the same tactics. "If you vote those Evil Republicans back into office they'll run the car back in the ditch!" Such simple minded childish ignorance... The truth is...it took BOTH the Republicans and the Democrats to get us where we are today. Why did the Republicans win so big in the mid-terms a few weeks ago? Because it appears that they were the only Party interested in listening to the Will Of The People. Democrats are arrogant...they always claim to be so much smarter than Republicans. The Leftist Media does the dirty work for the Democratic Party...like asking Bush41 what a gallon of milk costs at the grocery store? Having Dan Quayle spell potatoe and claimg he was stupid because he didn't leave off the "e" at the end. Either spelling is acceptable... Arrogance, fear mongering...belittling...degrading...class envy...these are the tactics of the Leftist Democrats. It is antiquated politics...and that's why they are losing. The American people are much smarter than the Democratic Party realizes. The Democrats are beating the class envy drum right now. That's all they got left. Nothing else has worked and the people are watching Washington closer than I've ever seen in my life. Unlike Michelle Obama...I've ALWAYS been proud to be an American...but I'm prouder to be an American right now than I have been for many a year. The sleeping giant...the American People have awakened...and just in time. The Democratic Party has been trying to destroy America since they lost the Civil War...and they were getting real close to bringing this country to a state of insolvency. The Democrats...the Progressive/Marxist Party came close to bringing ruin to this country...but they have failed. "Barack Obama's NOT the man...Barack belongs in a garbage can!" lol

I have not looked for the video...as I'm already so mad it's hard to even look at any type of authority without contempt. I did not grow up in a Police State...and I do not want to live in a country with Nazi Storm Troopers who are out of control. Somebody out there is going to go crazy on these people very soon. If I saw some Nazi putting his hands on my Granddaughter like that...I'd go so crazy on them...you'd see it on the evening news. Today I spoke to the Office of Senator Jon Kyl and Congressman Trent Franks giving them my opinion. These are two Great Republicans...Great Americans. For those of you that don't know me...I'd go right down through the Gates of Hell and rip the horns off the Devil if it would save my country. Welcome to my world...lol.

America has survived two World Wars...and many other wars for that matter. We have survived volcano eruptions, tidal waves...hurricanes and tornadoes.
