I'm mad...madder than I've been in a long time... These Politicians just stole a TRILLION DOLLARS of our grandkids money...by passing the last minute Tax Bill. I read how they were going to give...like...260 million dollars to companies that produce rum in Puerto Rico...or some crap like that. At this point...I'm having a hard time finding who voted for it...and who voted against it. But this is where I draw the line. Anybody who voted to PASS this Bill is an enemy of this country. That is my opinion...and I'll make many phone calls and send many emails to let them know I'll be working hard to keep them from ever getting elected or re-elected again. What did I support? I supported either a tax cut for everybody...or a tax cut for nobody. This was nothing more than the Democratic Party trying to punish the Jewish Community by raising their taxes. People like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet supported raising taxes on the wealthy...and supporting the Death Tax...and yet these rich people have their wealth protected through Trusts when the die. Our debt just went up by a TRILLION DOLLARS in one day...and I'm so upset I can't really express myself. Since Bill Gates & Warren Buffet support raising the income tax on the wealthy...how about having a one time tax on their assets....say... take 50% of their net worth and apply it toward the this nation's debt. Let's call their bluff and see how they react then. Sure...I'm not thinking straight right now...I'm beyond pissed. I'm ready to spit in the face of anybody who voted for this Bill. I'm an old country boy...and spitting in someone's face is about the biggest insult you can give someone. Any Republican that voted for this Bill is nothing more than a thief. The Republicans campaigned on cutting spending...and any one of them that voted for this Bill with all these ear marks is a dirty low down thief. We did not vote for the Republicans to go up their and compromise...we voted for them to cut spending! Hardcase

I laughed til I almost cried listening to Bill Clinton telling fellow Democrats to vote for the extension of the Bush Tax Cuts...because it was Clinton's tax increase that Bush cut??? Like...Slick Willie Clinton placed the largest tax increase in American History on the American people...condemned the Bush Tax Cuts for the eight years Bush was in Office...and now comes out in support of cutting his own tax??? Am I the only person to see the humor in this??? And Al Gore has come out this week claiming the extreme weather we are having is clear evidence that Global Warming is not only real...but the fault of George Bush. Then again...Al claims the break up of his marriage is the fault of George Bush. Hmm...hey...didn't Al Gore invent the internet?lol The old blame George Bush game...heck...Obama gave 4 trillion dollars to the richest people in the country in stimulus & tarp...and said it was all Bush's fault it did not help the poor??? Kanya West has a new flop album out...and because nobody wants to buy his music...it's all George Bush's fault. Hey Kanya...get some talent and we'll buy your music...lol Oh yeah...and Bill "Slick Willie" Clinton has said that Hillary has not had sex with him since 1994...and IT'S ALL GEORGE BUSH'S FAULT!!! LMAO That's all I got folks...it's been a slow news week.

This week Wesley Snipes reported to prison...he is being made to be an example by the Obama Administration. What did Mr. Snipes do that was so wrong? His CPA filled out the wrong tax form...but his real crime is being rich. What we have just witnessed is the modern day lynching of a Black man. This is the result of all the Class Envy that the Democratic Party is throwing around right now. But old Charlie Rangle got a free pass...for doing much worse. Mr. Rangle concealed from the IRS money that had been paid to him...and if I remember right it was like $600,000. Of course...if Mr. Rangle had been an old White man he'd have gone to prison...like Duke Cunningham. Let me give you my opinion of the duty of Government. The government is there to protect us from invasion...to protect us from Pirates storming or coastal towns and stealing or property. It was never intended by our Founding Fathers that the Government would steal the hard earned money of the citizens. What makes these Democrats think they have a RIGHT to the earnings of anyone in the excessive amounts they demand? I have no Right to your earnings...but what makes Democrats think they have a Right to mine? Somebody that earns a million dollars is paying at this time 35%...or $350,000. That is not counting the taxes they pay in the State where they live...taxes like Property Taxes and so on. The Democrats want to raise it to 39%...so a person would pay $390,000 in Federal Taxes on a million dollars. Who are the real Pirates here? Yep...it's the Democratic Party that is made up of Pirates....lol As The Democratic Party continues to terrorize the rich and hold the whole country "Hostage" on the Bush Tax Cuts...we wait to see what these Evil Pirates come up with next. Don't forget that these Democrats are holding up the extension to unemployment also...which does not bother me...as I think unemployment has been extended long enough. I'll predict this much...the next move by Democrats will be straight out of the Karl Marx Handbook for Communists. That's what a Progressive is...a Communist. Ya'll have a nice night...and beware of the Pirates.

This is a recent evening I spent as a Taxi Driver in Phoenix, AZ.. I drive a taxi part time as I'm a full time long haul truck driver. After going in and waiting in line to get a cab, I pulled it in the outbound line and checked all the fluids and tires...lights and all the checks required. Then I log on the system...a computer board which is attached to the dash. My first call...I pick up this young lady at a Walmart who is in a wheel chair. I assist her into the cab and then fold her wheel chair up and put it in the trunk of the cab. She starts telling me how she was hit by a drunk driver and has only been in Arizona for 3 months. The bottom part of her leg had been amputated and she needed me to take her to the Pharmacy so she could get her meds and a bottle of booze. She cried as she told me that CPS had taken her son after the accident and told her until she tested clean with no marijuana in her system she will not get her son back. It seems the hospital tests everybody for drugs whether they want to be or not in Arizona...it's the law. I unload her wheel chair and she goes inside...I feel sorry for her and turn the timer off on my meter to help keep her cost down as much as possible. About 10 minutes she comes back and we do the load up thing all over again. I take her to her home and wish her the best and log in for my next call. The next call is to pick up two people at a home in North Phoenix. They tell me to take them to a local strip club...she has stripper written all over her. After we get rolling her boyfriend wants me to stop so her can buy some beer and gets out at a store to do just that. She says from the back seat to leave his stupid ass and I make sure she's got the fare and haul ass out of there. He then starts calling her on his cell phone and she's yelling at him from the back seat. While she is on the cell phone, I hear another cell phone ringing. She has two cell phones and has one up to each ear...holding two conversations at once. I deliver her to the strip club and log back into the system. My next call, I pick up a drunk who can hardly stand up...deliver him to his home and watch him fall down several times before he made it inside his apartment. The next call is a bus driver for a very famous rock band. He is at a fancy hotel and I take him to a local crack house...hey...I'm not stupid...I'm just public transportation. I tell people not to tell me anything and I don't have to set their asses out of the cab. I get him back to his hotel and go after my next call. Another drunk...another stripper...money...money...money. It's after midnight...the drug calls start coming in. People needing to go pick up their shit...and do it without attracting a lot of attention. What better way than a cab...huh. I end up with a crackhead in my back seat telling me his hands are on fire. I look...his hands are not on fire...and have to put his ass out of my cab and convince him to pay me. He finally pays me after I get in his face. Oh the joys of driving a cab. Then a runner...a guy and his wife...I pick them up at a local hospital...take them to their apartment complex....both doors fly open and they are running like the wind. I get out and yell at them to stop running...laughing my ass off...but she was pregnant and I didn't want her running like that over an $11 fare. Getting stiffed on a fare is never good...but it's part of the deal...and I don't waste time trying to get blood from a turnip. It's sunrise.....my eyes are burning...I take a couple calls of old women needing to go in for dialysis for their kidneys. One of them can speak english...the other one can only speak spanish It's time to head back to the shop...I have to wash and vacum the cab...make sure it's got at least a quarter tank of fuel. I check in...settle up with the cab company...and head home. After all was said and done...I only made about $140 dollars for myself. The cab company made almost as much as I did. Time to get some sleep...my trucking company will be calling later to dispatch me out of state this evening. I'll get about 8 hours sleep...then crawl back aboard my old semi.... Trucking is a hard and often brutal life...driving a cab ain't much different...but I like being around people....and it's addictive driving a cab. People giving you money time and again for just getting them where they need to go. Crackheads...Prostitutes...Drug Dealers....Drunks...and many other people in need of a ride. Trucking...Hacking...this is my world...welcome to my world.lol

I pretty much raised my kids from the cab of my semi truck...I mean they spent each summer riding around the country with me...and they loved every minute of it. They still talk about the times and experiences they had seeing many places of the country that other people never have a chance to visit. When my daughter was about 12 years old...she was riding with me one summer. We had stopped at a truck stop and used the pay phone. This was about the time cell phones were just catching on...but pay phones were still everywhere you looked. At an outside phone booth in Northern California, we found a wallet sitting on top of the phone in the booth. What to do...??? I knew that if I turned the wallet over to the truckstop or the police...the contents might not make it to the owner if it ever even got back to the owner. It felt weird opening a wallet that did not belong to me. My daughter and I went through the wallet...it had about $300 in it...a personal check for something like $850...credit cards...drivers liscense.... I used this as a teachable moment for my daughter....and the search for the owner was on. For the next week, we carried that wallet with us...calling information trying to get the phone number of the young man who had lost it. Information had no number for the guy...and the one phone number they had in that town was unlisted and they would not give it to me. I called the school where he attended as there was an ID Card from a University he was attending. They said classes were just starting and he was attending...but they too would not help me get in touch with him for privacy reasons. For a week...we carried that wallet with us...and finally one day it dawned on me to look closer at the personal check. I thought maybe the person who had wrote it to him would be able to help me get in touch with him. Bingo! The check had been written by his own father...and a phone number was on the check! His Dad was amazed when I called...he said they'd given up all hopes of ever getting the wallet back. I explained how my daughter and I had been working on this for a week as we bounced around the country delivering freight.lol His Dad tried to convince me to take the $300 cash out of the wallet for our trouble and mail the rest of the contents back to him. I refused and explained I was using this as an example to my daughter...a learning experience in honesty...what they now call a "teachable moment." The check inside the wallet was supposed to be for the young man's tuition at college...and his Dad had worried a lot about that check as it was a lot of money. I did take $20 out of the wallet to buy a really secure box from the Post Office and pay the postage and insurance on the box. I enclosed a note with my home address and explained if there was any kind of reward to send it to my address with my daughter's name on it. About two weeks later...an envelope arrived with a nice thank you note and a $25 check in my daughter's name. My kids learned from me...they learned their values from their old truck driving Daddy.lol I took her to the bank and helped her get the check cashed through my account...and then I took her to a clothing store....she spent that money in about 10 minutes and another $125 bucks of my own money too. I loved to take my daughter shopping...anyway...lol Our children are an extension of our own bodies....they carry our last names every step they take through life. If we teach them to do good...they represent our family name's well....if we don't teach them as they grow...and they do bad...it reflects on the family name. That is just how it is. Teach your children well....be a living example of how they should be....and they'll make you proud as you grow old. I know...I'm so proud of all my kids.

No Job?

So...you say there is no job in your area of the country? I got an idea...CREATE ONE! Here is just one idea I've had kicking around in my head. If I found myself unable to find work...even at this late stage of my life...I'd get busy. I'd gather my change together and buy a box of plastic trash bags, some window cleaner and a roll of paper towels. I'd grab my broom and dust pan from home and start visiting businesses that I saw in my area that need cleaned up. I'd approach the manager or owner of the business and sell them on the idea that the cleaner their business appears from the outside...the more customers will want to come inside. I'd then negotiate a price with them and clean up their business the best I could...leaving my name and phone number so they could call me in the future. Then I'd stop back by the business in about a month and ask if they have noticed any kind of increase or received any compliments on the upgrade. If they said they had...I'd ask them if they'd take a moment and write a short testimony saying so...then I carry those testimonies with me as I went out and drummed up more business...showing them to owners/managers and selling them on the idea. My point is...if there is no job in your area or field of work...create one. When I first got out of the Military and was looking for a truck driving job, I painted nursing homes. I had applied at quite a few trucking companies...but I did not have a lot of experience as many companies would not accept my driving with US Army Transportation as experience. While I was waiting for a call from one of those trucking companies...I went to visit an older friend that was in a nursing home. Their room was in bad shape...the paint peeling off the walls and it looked aweful. I approached the manager of the nursing home and asked him why he'd let the place get so run down. He explained that the commercial painters wanted too much money and he could not afford to have the rooms painted. We struck a deal on the spot...he would buy the paint and supplies and I'd paint the rooms for $40 a room. Now...I'm not a painter...but I sold him on the idea that I was. The next day I started painting the rooms...and it was hard work. Some days I'd only get one room completed...but other days I'd be able to get two of them done. Then the shit hit the fan....as people visited their friends and family in that nursing home...they noticed the improvement...and they saw me working. Before I had that project completed I had at least a dozen other jobs lined up. People would approach me and asked if I would paint their homes...their barns...and I even painted a few fences.lol It got me through that summer. When the weather turned ugly...I went to real estate agents and offered to weatherize the properties they were trying to sell...explaining how expensive busted pipes were if they froze. I put up plastice on windows...added anti-freeze to toilets...and did whatever the agent thought would be needed at each location. Adapt to the weather...create a job...look around you. Right now it is snowing in some parts of the country. Grab your shovel and start walking down town. Ask the business owners if you can shovel their walks and entrance ways. Get busy... I did this before when I was younger. And I might be older than dirt...but I'd do it again before I just sat on my ass playing video games and waiting for a handout. Get busy America!

For my friends that read my blog at My Space...you might remember this story as I told it over there one time. I spent 6 years in US Army Transportation...that is where I learned to drive trucks. When I got out of the Army it was during the Jimmy Carter years...and times were tough everywhere in America. In the State I lived in, about 1 in every 5 people were unemployed. Like many truckers...the company I worked for did not have work for me and I ended up on unemployment. This is the story of how I pulled myself out of that mess. Each morning...when my Dad went to work...I'd have him drop me off at the same gas station/store. I would walk all day....from business to business asking the owners or managers if they had a job for me. I walked the same route each day...and covered hundreds of businesses every day. At the end of the day, I'd be back where I started and my Dad would pick me up and take me home. Each night I'd soak my feet and put salve and band aids on my feet...finally those old feet toughened up and it no longer bothered me. One day...I went into a fuel stop that I'd been going to asking for a job everyday for about 3 months. I asked the owner if he had any kind of job available...and he said, "You either have to be the most determined person I've ever met or you're stupid...because everyday you ask me for a job and each time I tell you no." He then told me to be back at 8 a.m. and he'd put me to work. I showed up at 7:45 a.m. which was early...and was so happy I'd be finally getting back to work. The owner called all the employees together and introduced me...AS THEIR NEW BOSS! I hired in ahead of many people that had worked for him for years. He recognized my determination and my desire. And I tripled his sales in the 18 months I managed that fuel stop. I worked on a salary...and I worked from 6 a.m. to midnight 7 days a week. I used much of my own money to remodel his restrooms and took it upon myself to keep them clean...I did not ask the other employees to clean them. I spent a lot of time outside pumping the fuel for customers...even though it was self serve. I'd wash their windshields and check their oil. The owner had turned it over to me....and I seldom saw him. But...he noticed the bottom line...and after about 6 months he showed up one day unexpectedly. He told me we needed to talk...and we went back to my office. He wanted me to explain why I was outside pumping fuel instead of staying inside and attending other duties. I pull the books out I'd been keeping and showed him the large increase in sales...and he said he already knew all that. He wanted to know how I kept up with all my duties working only 8 hours a day if I spent most of my days outside giving personal service to the customers. That's when I explained I was working 18 hours a day 7 days a week...doing the books in the evening when things slowed down...cleaning the restrooms before I went home so they'd be looking good to start the next day. Some nights I did not even go home...I stayed there all night stripping the floor and waxing it...sleeping a few hours at my desk before the store opened. He gave me a really nice raise in my salary...and I continued on. After 18 months...Ronald Reagan was elected and the economy started to boom...I landed a job driving a truck and gave the owner notice that I was leaving... He tried to get me to stay...offering me a big raise...with vacation time and health insurance...but my heart was out there on the highway...and the road was calling to me. What was he doing during that 18 months? Golfing...and he became so good at it he turned Pro...lol...I still watch him on television...even though he's an old geezer now he still is on the tour. I crawled back aboard my old semi...and have not had to do anything else but drive truck since then. After 9/11 happened...I was so worried something might happen to my family...I drove a taxi around town...and I still do that part time when I'm in between loads. But I thought I'd be smart to stay close to home if anything was going to happen. So...I'm a full time long haul trucker...and a few days a month I drive a taxi, so I work two jobs. Drive...determination...never giving up...never quiting....these are the things that people need to make it through these hard times. My advice to people...don't sit at your computer and put in applications over the internet...the chances of getting a job like that are slim...get out and meet people...wear your best clothes...smile...just because a person tells you they don't have a job for you today does not mean they don't have a job for you tomorrow. Don't give up and become an enabled person...with our Gub'ment being your enabler. So...that's my story...and I'm stick'n to it.lol

Wow...the Democrats are talking on C-Span about extending unemployment benefits for a year... They are already at 99 weeks...so if you add another 52 weeks on top of that....you'll be able to collect 151 weeks of unemployment. Somebody needs to ask the Democrats if they ever intend to end the gravy train? Why limit unemployment to just 151 weeks? Why not just give people unlimited unemployment? They could get their unemeployment check...go stand in line for free medical benefits from their State Access Medical Programs and receive free medical care. Then go get in the line for the credit card that I see people using that used to be called the food stamp program. Oh yeah...they would qualify for the programs that pay their rent, utilities and child care programs too. And they could get a government cell phone, home phone and free internet too. Hmmm...WHAT THE HELL ARE WE ALL WORKING OUR ASSES OFF FOR? What is the incentive to get up off your butt and go out and try to better your life if the Gub'ment is going to give you everything? I see now...that California is providing auto insurance for people who are of lower income. Does anybody other than me see a problem with that??? The whole country has gone frigging nuts! What the hell is wrong with these people? I feel like telling my boss to kiss my ass and getting him mad enough to fire me....then I can lay around in my pajamas and watch television all day and blog my ass off on the computer. Then I could get dressed and go wait in all the lines for all this free shit people are getting right now. Hey...I could go to college and become a professional student...never intending on graduating...just sucking in the Grants and Loans...hmmm...what a deal. I'm stupid...I work...I'm stupid...I pay at least 30% of what I earn in taxes of some form or another...while these other people have everything handed to them. I'm stupid...but I can look people in the eye without feeling bad about myself. This Class Envy War the Democrats and Barack Obama have been playing with the American people over the last four years is getting out of hand. Yes..I said four years. When Obama started campaigning for President the Stock Market was at a record high of 14,800...and then Obama started threatening to raise taxes on the rich. It was class ency that got this Marxist Dictator Obama into office...and the Democrats continue to march onward with this Progressive/Marxist Agenda. I look around me...I think about the lady that bragged to me not long ago that she had just got back from Hawaii...and she is one of these people living on all these free programs. She told me how she was able to use her EBT Card for food while she was on vacation in Hawaii. What the hell is that about? How in the hell do you go on a vacation in Hawaii if you are in such a bad financial situation as to qualify for all these programs? Jealous? Yer dang skippy I'm jealous! I've worked everyday of my life...hoping that someday I can visit the Pearl Harbor Memorial...and it don't look like I'm ever going to make it. And now I meet a woman who just got back from my dream vacation...and she's on welfare??? It's simple...I'm stupid...and got too much pride to play the system.

Over the Thanksgiving Holiday, I was having the motor rebuilt in my semi...so I spent four days driving a cab around town. Which is about twice as many days as I usually work a month as a Hack. The following is a call I went on the day before Turkey Day. I pull into this apartment complex and locate the closest parking to where my fare is located. As I get out of my cab, a little Angel of about 5 years old appears on the balconey of a second floor apartment, looks over the railing and asks if I'm there to take her to the Doctor? I smiled back at her and told her that I just might be that guy. It turned out she was my fare and her Mom and Dad also. So, I returned to the cab and waited for them to come down and load up to make about a 30 mile journey to their Doctor. Down the stairs comes the little Angel...her father and mother trailing behind. The little girl looked like any other little girl of 5 years old. A coloring book and crayons in her hands to keep her busy on the car ride. The dad looked like any other man...clean cut and dressed well enough in casual clothes. It was the mother that made me look twice...she was dressed in full burka....she walked a few paces behind her husband with her head bowed in submission. The following is what took place on the short car ride. The little girl colored in the back seat...she had these little bracelets on that tingled like bells as she moved her hands. She sang songs...some in English and others in Arabic. She was such a sweet little Angel all dressed in pink and smiling. The Dad talked the whole time...telling me their story of how they escaped the War in Iraq. He could not understand why Muslims were killing Muslims. Did not really appreciate the sacrifice the American people had endured to free the oppressed people of Iraq. They had only been in America for 9 months...and came here seeking Political Asylum. Twice bombs had went off across the street from their home and they escaped Iraq before they were killed by Muslim Extremists. I sat there nodding my head...not agreeing with him but nodding that I was hearing him. He did say Iraq was a better place with Sadam Hussein out of power...that much I had to ask him. It was the Mother that I felt so sorry for. The family had only been in America for 9 months..and she held fast to her religious upbringing. The whole car ride...for about 45 minutes of city driving...I listened to her whispering her prayers...non-stop...whispering...chanting...it was wierd. At one point she raised her burka and I could see her eyes through the slit that runs sideways across the eyes. She was young...and her eyes were beautiful, but it saddens me to think how many people live in such fear. I did not make eye contact with her...but managed to glance in the rearview mirror a couple times in that brief minute to view her eyes. Eyes that told a story of being mentally abused from birth...growing up and being taught that she is only half as much a human and as Muslim man. It made me sick and still does. Her husband glared at her and she quickly lowered the full burka to conceal her eyes. See...in their culture...she could be put to death for just making eye contact with another man. I was glad to get them to the Doctor Office and drove away thinking about what all had been said. As a cab driver you must keep your opinions to yourself...pretty much anyway...and that is a hard thing for me to do. I wanted to stop the car and grab the woman by her shoulders and shake her...telling her she did not have to live like that anymore..that she was in the Land of the Free...and nobody has to live in such fear and submission. But...you can't do that...it's not how it works. But, I did come away from this experience with a different opinion. People are pretty much the same everywhere in the world. We all want the same things. Normal or average people anyway. We want what is best for our families...we want to live a prosperous life...we want to live in freedom and to be able to live without danger or fear... People are people...whether they come from America or some far away Muslim Land. I hope and pray this family assimilates to America. I hate to think that little 5 year old Angel is destined to where a full burka and live in such fear and submission in this country. And I still keep thinking about this experience...it comes to my mind at least every hour...and I ruminate about it over and over. It was a strange day...an average day for a cabbie in the big city. I'm in San Antonio as I write this. On my way to Houston, TX and will empty out in Conroe, TX hopefully tomorrow afternoon. I'll probably never see this family again...but I'll never forget them...and I'll pray for that little 5 year old Angel everyday the rest of my life. Peace...I'm out rolling east on Interstate 10.... Ya'll have a great night and I hope my story did not bore you too bad.lol Hardcase
