If I could build a time machine,

I'm not sure

where I'd go.

But there is one thing

I'm quite sure of...

I'd go back

to where,

I had the

best of times.

I love it here.. in the now,

crazy in love...

writing precious

rhymes.

But if I could...

I surely would..

go back,

in time and space.

I'd go to where

my heart was young..

to a loving,

familiar place.

                            PAIN

Walking through a barren land,

 I feel so lost and bleak.

Wishing I could make the pain stop,

and go into a dream.

Missing everything..

that meant

so much

to me.

Like feeling good.. without a pill,

to stop the pain.

I need to find my way somehow,

and step into

the light.

But everytime I try to feel right,

my body puts

up a fight.

                               HEAVEN IN MY DREAMS

In my dreams last night I saw Heaven,

I saw butterflies that never die...

I saw doves with golden wings..

I saw so many glorious things.

Purple sunsets...the bluest seas..

rainbows with a thousand colors..

I even saw my precious,

beautiful mother.

I knew that I was dreaming..

I didn't want to wake..

I saw a million yellow roses..

I saw the coolest lake.

Last night I saw Heaven in my dreams,

it was the sweetest sight..

lovely and serene..

the most beautiful sight..

                               TIMES OF LIFE

Thinking back to my youth gone by...

is it fair how the time did fly

My babies now are grown up men..

could never have

imagined it then.

I felt like I would be young forever..

but that's not how life goes

losing touch... getting old.

Remembered days that are gone forever..

All my ties with friends

have long

been severed.

It's ok... I feel alright..

just looking back

on my times

of life.
