STARING AT MIDNIGHT WALLS

                         STARING AT MIDNIGHT WALLS

Staring at midnight walls,

understanding nothing

and the time is standing tall.

Feeling understood by nobody

it's all too often expressed

when I'm feeling low and empty

and my head has come undressed.

Standing in a statue stance

with a hint of mirror lights

I will stand in this paradise

until the morning dance.

Scrolling to the music,

this time I know my way,

but I still have to wait

until another day.

HOLD ON FOR TOMORROW

Life isn't just full of happiness,
It's sunsets, it's love, it's tears.
It's the thoughts of yesterdays memories,
That can wash away all our fears.
It's that very painful experience,
That each one of us has had.
It's the laughter that fills the air,
It's the tears when you are sad.
It's loving that someone special,
That at one time made you smile.
It's the pain of losing that person,
But the memories that make it worthwhile.
It's that child in every one of us,
Although in time we'll all be old.
It's the good times we'll never forget,
It's the memories we'll always hold.
It's the hug that we all need,
When we'd rather drown in our sorrow.
It's the hope in every one of us,
That makes us hold on for tomorrow.

FLOWER CHILD

Don't laugh at me, sweet child of the sixties

My clothes look dated, jeans low and faded

Peace on earth, long hair, headbands

Flowers, incense, groovy, far-out man

Love beads, peace signs, paisley shirts

Wars and bombs, how deep they hurt

So don't laugh at me, forever I shall be

This sweet child of the sixties

Lips kissed my eyes..... my face

My cloth askew from passion borne

Reminding me of his touch of love

A night spent.. hearts entwined

Touched me in that special place

He loved my heart.. my soul.. my mind

He took me to where passion's borne.

I suppose you think you know it all

Making other people feel damn small

Laughing and belittling behind their backs

Bringing on all your ego bashing attacks

Meditation would help your mixed up soul

Making enlightenment your ultimate goal

Spreading love.. instead of unjust hate

Peace and understanding.. I can relate

Everything Zen....

HIS TUNES OF PEACE

                 HIS TUNES OF PEACE

On a guitar of time, he played pleasant tunes,
the rhymes of his life, were sang by the moon.
Always kept moving, he never looked behind,
stepped to the beat, tunes played in his mind.
Many wise words he sang, so lovely the sound
composed with chords that kept peace around.
I sometimes get visions and with them shivers,
as I think of the legend, that traveled this river.
I wish it was true, that he'd wrote such a song,
when the world heard it, we'd all sing along.

SLEEP FOREVER

                              SLEEP FOREVER

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Why can't we sleep forever
And live inside our dreams
Sheltered from the heartbreak
That life can sometimes bring
You could live in a world
Bordered only by your mind
And never have to worry
About running out of time
You could live out all your dreams
A life of love and laughter
Your every desire is fulfilled
You'd live happily ever after
You could take the stars
From the heavens up above
Then give them to the one
That shares your feelings of love
You could gather every rose
For only there eyes to see
You would never have to question
Will this love forever be.

Long straight hair, peace signs, hip- huggers,

Burn incense, read cards, good Karma to others,

Blacklights, posters, psychedelic candles burning,

Writing my thoughts, listening, always learning,

Strange to some, I don't mind, it's not wrong,

Listening to music, dancing, a classic rock song,

What I'm getting to friends is I'm a hippie you see,

I won't ever change, can you learn to except me,

You are my friends, different, ok, I have trust,

My friends I adore you, I won't do you unjust.

I'm  glad to be friends with people of all diversity,

I love my friends, no matter how different then me.

SEVENTH STREET AGAIN..(THE CEMETARY)
Posted On 05/17/2011 02:18:28

                             SEVENTH STREET AGAIN..(THE CEMETARY)

I mentioned once in my 7th street stories that there was a building in front of our house that was for lease for little businesses..well my Dad actually rented it once.. it was the craziest times because he made it into a "head shop" I'm sure you know what that is.. where they sold bongs and pipes for smoking weed and he had the old Freak Brothers comics.. Zap comics..  blacklights and posters incense..candles oheverything that had t odo with pot and hippies.. you name he had it. It was totally legal to sell all of that back then.. The problem was that my Dad smoked pot and he was a hippie totally.. so all of the young teenagers in the neighborhood would hang out all day in the shop. It was called "the Cemetary" (stupid name..lol) my Dad and the guys that hung out would just get high all day and my dad wouldn't even open the shop most of the time. Not a good way to make money..Us kids we were real young but knew what as going on.. once we found my dad's pot and we smoked some (cough cough) we got so high started to get all stupid.. laughing and acting ridiculous.. my dad didn't think it was funny  but what's good for the goose is good for the gander.. so we thought then anyway.. Speaking of goose .. poor Fred would be in the shop all day too inhaling all that smoke.. no wonder he packed up and went hitch hiking down 7th street..lol.. I know this all sounds pretty crazy but life on 7th street  was NEVER  a dull moment..The "Cemetary" didn't last long (couldn't make a dime smoking up all the profits). Never could get rid of all those young hippie kids they kind of adopted us after that. WHEW!! I need a hit.. just kidding!!
