It is amazing how we can wake up on a given morning and take for granted that it will be just another day. Little do we know that part of our life is about to change. It might not be an overwhelming change, although sometimes just a small inconvenient change can turn out to be a thorn in one's side.
It all started about three weeks ago when I went on my routine weekly visit to a rest home. As I was in the midst of my bible study, the nurses rolled in a very unhappy Miss Linda. The nurses had forced her to take a bath and come out of her room. Miss Linda had fallen out of her bed within the week and hurt her back. Although I have heard of an ensuing depression after an elderly person breaks a hip, I have not heard of this happening from just hurting one's back. However, Miss Linda has lost her will to do anything, including eat. This presented a problem with regard to her pet, Precious the cat. She had also stopped feeding and caring for Precious. The nurses all seemed to have great disdain for this cat. Nobody would volunteer to feed or change the litterbox until Linda recovered.
After my meeting, I went to talk with a very unhappy Linda. All she wanted to do was go back to bed. Lunch time was approaching, so I stayed and had lunch with her, hoping to generate a bit of enthusiasm. I pretty much had to feed her as I would a very small child. While there, one of the staff came up to inform Linda that they would have to find another place for the cat. Linda agreed. Knowing that the "other place" for the cat would be the local pound, sight unseen, I offered to take care of Precious until she got better. Very much hoping that she would get better. I informed Linda and the Staff that I would be back the next day with the cat carrier.
Around noon, I showed up to pick up the cat. Miss Linda hadn't eaten, so I talked her into letting the nurse bathe her and then we had lunch together, sort of. I fed her as much as I could. She immediately wanted to take a nap, so we went back. Precious was huddled in the closet. We talked a bit, and then I proceeded to convince Precious to come home with me. Two hours later, I was still chasing Precious thoughout the room. At one point I had picked her up. However, she managed to free herself from my arms and bolt under the bed. I was crawling in closets, crawling under the bed, trying to convince Precious that I was really her friend. Food didn't even work. I made a little trail of food leading to me. Nope, she knew that was a trap. Two hours later she let me pet her. I could just reach her under the bed. When she least expected it I picked her up and this time held her tightly while petting and cooing to her. I asked Linda to call a nurse to help me put Precious in the carrier.
After a little while, a nurse came in and asked Linda what she wanted. I requested that she help me put Precious in the carrier so that I could take her home. Horrified she looked at me and said that she was afraid of that cat. I asked her if she could get me a nurse that was not afraid.
A little while later, another nurse entered and said "Cover up Linda, I have James with me." One would naturally assume that James would be a handiman that would help me in what might be a difficult endeavor. I turned around and there was James the resident with his girlfriend who has Parkinsons. She kindly offered to hold the cat, but I declined, thinking of how to proceed with a "Plan B." I then proceeded with the only idea that would work. I asked James to take the carrier and put it on the floor with the back to the floor and the door on top. I had James hold it while I dropped Precious in and quickly slammed the door behind her. whew. Job done.
The trip home was uneventful and I put her on the front seat next to me and talked to her all the way. Once home, I put the carrier on the floor and opened the door putting some water and food right outside. After a few hours, she merely bolted for under my bed. And stayed there for two days. On the third day, she was in my closet, huddled in the corner as she had been in Miss Linda's closet. As I approached her she bolted back under the bed for another day. The next time I saw her in the closet, I quickly picked her up and decided that Precious could stay in the guest room with water, food, and kitty litter facilities. For two weeks I would go into the room to talk to and pet Precious, and for two weeks she tried her best to avoid me. However, things got better. Little by little she let me pet her and on that fateful day, she was actually being affectionate and purring. I picked her up, and this time she half way enjoyed the attention. She wasn't just hanging there in a "let me down" position. However, the small inconvenience that would affect my life was about to happen.
I became brave and thought that maybe she could now have access to the entire house. At this point, my friend Amy knocked on my door to return a dish. I told her what I was up to and Amy, who is much wiser than I, sizing up the situation, suggested that I might want to put her back in the room and maybe leave the door open and leave the decision up to Precious. I would have followed her advice, but then an unforeseen circumstance took place. Misty, my faithful dog, best friend, and companion, came up and started to sniff at and welcome Precious. Why I thought that dog and cat would be friends and live happily everafter, I will never know. But, I took Precious and introduced her to Misty. "Look Precious, here's Misty." The rest is really just a blur. I heard a gosh awful hiss and as Precious broke from my hold and literally climbed up my legs and body to bolt to the bathroom, she seriously and frantically bit my shoulder. Three of her teeth broke the skin and went deep into my shoulder. The only curious thing that I still wonder about is that none of the bites ever bled. Amy was standing there horrified. As she tried to help me I yelled, "DON'T TOUCH ME!" At this point, Amy herself started yelling a bit hysterically, "RABIES! RABIES! I'VE GOT TO TAKE YOU TO THE DOCTOR!" Those words immediately sobered me and I came back to reality. I did my best to calm Amy down. Uh, no. Not the doctor. I have colloidal silver. After a while of convincing her that I would be fine and that I would not go to the doctor, Amy left, convinced that I was about to die.
I got the colloidal silver and took one tablespoon, thinking that I would up my dose and take three tablespoons a day.
The three bites became swollen and painful in a short time. When I spoke to Tony he said . . . "Tablespoons!!!!!!!!!! Drink one entire bottle NOW! and half a bottle each day after. " So I did.
Next day my shoulder looked like a baseball and there was quite a lot of pain involved. And no, Amy did not see it. I made sure of that. I continued the required dosage of colloidal silver.
A couple of days later, Ohford instructed me on a poultice to put on it, to which Tony agreed. As I read these posts quite late at night, my intention was to go out first thing in the morning. However, the next morning I woke up to a marvelous surprise. The swelling was much, much better and not at all as painful as it had been. So.... I decided not to go out and get the poultice ingredients because I felt so good and also it was pouring outside. The nearest health store is twenty miles away. I also decided that I was totally healed and took it upon myself to stop drinking the half bottles of colloidal silver and went back to my one tablespoon a day.
Two days later which is this morning, I woke up in quite a bit of pain and upon examining my bites, one has healed, but two are now swelling again. So I have begun the colloidal silver regimen again. I should not have stopped quite so soon.
The moral of this entire story: The bite was very bad. Taking into consideration the swelling, anyone depending on mainstream medicine would have had to go to the doctor for antibiotics and I don't know what else. I don't know if they would have talked me into the rabies shots just to be safe, as I do not know this cat's history. For sure I would have been given a tetanus shot. Yet, I know the quality of the Utopia Silver Products. Colloidal silver will kill all bacteria. In fact, it has been known to cure rabies. I am sure that the fact that I had been taking Colloidal Silver regularly also helped.
This was a most unusual circumstance. However, the dangers out your front door are very real. The yearly winter flu that always comes around, the stomach flu, infections, pneumonia, the list goes on. Actually, Colloidal Silver will also cure Lyme Disease. Taking Colloidal Silver on a regular basis will protect you from these illnesses, and heaven forbid should something unforeseen happen, Colloidal Silver is the answer. I will tell you that Utopia Silver Colloidal's Silver saved me from an even more pronounced infection and I was healed in just a couple of days. Be prepared, start your regimen now. Go to Utopia Silver and get yours.
Now, for my next problem. I still have Precious. And Precious is huddled in a corner by the headboard most of the time now. I do see evidence that she is eating, drinking water and using the facilities. But I know in the long run, she will not get along with Misty and Maggie my manx. Staying here is out of the question. I wouldn't give her to a house with children or pets, and I'm not sure she will be much company, if any, to an adult or older person. And it doesn't look like Miss Linda is getting better.
What to do?
Hugs,
Luella
This was written last week. I received many helpful suggestions, two of which I am using. I am giving Precious colloidal silver in case she has some type of an infection. I am also using the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) on her. Stay tuned.... I will let you know how Precious progresses.
Utopia Silver's Fight for Health Freedom by Tony Isaacs For the past five years, the Utopia Silver Supplement Company has been waging a battle for health freedom against the giants of the State of Texas and the FDA - one which may have major implication for all of us regarding the freedom of access to dietary natural health supplements. Much like the Alamo defenders in days gone by, this small Texas company and its supporters of health freedom are pitted against a corrupt giant determined to impose it's will and stifle freedom - and, just like the Alamo and the struggles that followed, the outcome may effect the freedom and future of millions. The Holidays are upon us! They were officially kicked off on Thanksgiving Day. That is the day that families get together and have a big turkey dinner. They sit together watching the parade or old Christmas movies and conversing, as the aroma of the turkey cooking makes its way into the living room and all through the house, its warmth making everyone feel comforted and happy. That has always been my favorite part of Thanksgiving. Those few minutes with your loved ones around you, with the children playing. Those few moments before I need to get up and prepare the finishing touches for the meal. Such wonderful happy times.
But times do change, children grow up and sometimes move away. In my case we are the ones that moved away. A year and a half ago, we moved to Mississippi. My husband wanted to go home to his roots, so we began a new chapter in our lives. Mother was living with us and was in fairly good health for it was summer time, and that is when we decided to make our big move. In her younger days, she loved to travel cross country, meeting people and seeing the sights, so we planned our move all around mom.
We planned to drive cross country so she could, once again, do what she loved to do most, travel. We drove out of the driveway of our house in California at 9:00 am on a Monday morning and started our cross country move to Mississippi. My husband drove the moving van ahead of us, while my mother and I followed in the truck, with our dogs, Pooch and Misty, sitting in the back seat. I often think back to these wonderful memories. This would be Mom's last cross country trip. Looking back, I am so glad we did it this way. Mom and I had the time of our lives traveling together in the truck.
As fall came around, her health started to fail. With our children and family celebrating Thanksgiving in California, the three of us spent a wonderful Thanksgiving in our new house in Mississippi. Little did I realize that this would be our last Thanksgiving together. Thanksgiving Day is my favorite day of the whole year. The turkey baking in the oven seems to give the house a warm glow, as its aroma travels throughout. This is the one day of the year that families take the time to be together, instead of rushing
through their days, all going in different directions. This is the one day of the year that we give thanks for being together, for having each other. This is the one day of the year where everything else can wait. That last Thanksgiving Day with my mom, I cooked the same exact meal that I had cooked every other Thanksgiving. I followed the same pattern, as every thought and every movement had a tradition all of its own. Again, as in Thanksgivings past, everything, except for the last minute preparations was ready, and we watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, as we conversed and enjoyed each other's company.
Mother passed away the following July. As fall approached and I watched the leaves start to drop off the trees, I knew that Thanksgiving Day would soon be here. This time it would be so very different. Tradition had broken. The old days were over. This would be a time to start new traditions, but how? As the day drew closer, I knew that this year I would not be able to cook that wonderful dinner with that wonderful
warm aroma wafting through the house. This year my house would not have that warm comforting glow. This year I would have to make other arrangements, maybe even go to a restaurant. All I knew is that I could not bear the thought of cooking a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner without my family, especially without my mother. Those wonderful memories all of a sudden were so terribly painful.
But God had a plan. He would not leave me alone that day, and I was yet to realize that. It just so happened that I had become involved in a ministry at an assisted living complex a few weeks before Thanksgiving. Every Monday evening, a few of us go to to the clubhouse and we have a little church service and bible study with some of the residents. We sing songs, followed by the lesson. We even have special music. After our little service is over, some of the ladies have a meal already prepared for us and we eat and have wonderful fellowship. Needless to say, I have become acquainted with quite a few of those folks. There is Mr. Eugene, who is confined to a wheelchair, and he tells marvelous stories.
He is always so happy. He tells me he can sing “Halleluyah Square†and every week I tell him that he will sing the special music the following Monday, but he always finds an excuse to get out of it. Mr. Eugene is my favorite. He is always happy and so caring. I love the fact that he still dearly loves his wife, who passed away ten years ago. He talks about her as if she were sitting right beside him. Every one of
them is special. Some are happy, some are talkative, some are quiet, and some are even grumpy.
Well, the days went on, one by one, and on one of those Mondays, they announced that they would be
having Thanksgiving Dinner at the clubhouse. I was ecstatic! I suddenly realized that yes, I could spend a meaningful and happy Thanksgiving with people that I have grown to love! I immediately blurted out, “Can I come?!†One of the grumpy ladies in the bunch then commented, “Well, she just invites herself
anywhere, doesn't she?†Everyone else said I would be welcome. I offered to bring something, but was told just to bring the drinks, which I did. I certainly felt uncomfortable attending Thanksgiving Dinner empty handed.
The big Thanksgiving Day came, where I would be having Thanksgiving Dinner with my new friends. I
was so looking forward to it. And I knew that had been a blessing from God. He had given me this brand new ministry, making it possible for me not to be alone on Thanksgiving Day. I happily made my way there early that afternoon. The most wonderful dinner in the entire world was waiting there. I loved serving those in wheelchairs, as the ladies so reminded me of my mom. We talked, we laughed, and we ate. We spent a wonderful afternoon together. Little did I know that the best was yet to come.
I really had not given any thought that there might be folks confined to their apartments, for want of not being able to make it to the clubhouse. Thanksgiving Dinner plates were made up for those and placed on a table for delivery. I delivered two. The first lady was most grateful and we visited a little while, after which I left for my second delivery. The second lady's name was Elizabeth. I knocked on her door and it
took her a little while to answer. When she saw me, she asked who I was. I told her that I was delivering her a plate of Thanksgiving Dinner. She stared at me and asked me why I was doing that, so I explained that I had been in the clubhouse for Thanksgiving Dinner and that since she was not able to get out, a plate had been prepared for her. Elizabeth had suffered a stroke two weeks before and was not feeling well. She was still confused and also very lonely and frightened. She broke into tears and told me that
she had just finished praying to God to send someone to help her. She told me about her stroke, her confusion, her loneliness, and her fear. We sat down and talked a little bit and then I asked Elizabeth if I could be her friend and come by and visit her every few days. Elizabeth's whole countenance changed and she said that I would be welcome anytime, any day until 6:30 pm because that's when she went to bed.
We visited, we prayed, and we hugged. I gave her my phone number to call me anytime because we
were now friends and I would be by to visit her whenever I was in town. As I left she hugged me and told me that she loved me. This would be the first time that day when a complete stranger would tell me that they loved me.
As I went back to the clubhouse there was one more plate left and that one needed to be delivered to the hospital. I said I would not mind dropping it off and it would give me a chance to visit someone else. I do love people and I do love to talk. So if someone is willing to listen, here I am! They gave me her name
and room number and off I went. Her name was Nina.
As I started to enter her room there was a sign posted on her door and I didn't know what it meant. So I stopped at the nurses station and asked if it was okay if I delivered the plate to her. They said yes. I knocked on the door and entered a dark room. Nina was a 92 year old lady. Nina was dying. Not dying that moment but after being with my mom I know the signs. It would be soon. Nina was also alone and very frightened. As if she had known me for a lifetime, she told me how sick she felt. She told me that she was ready to go home, should the Lord call. And then she told me how alone she was. I held her hand as she spoke, being careful not to touch the bruise caused by the IV and I caressed her face, the
same way I had once caressed my own mother's face. I asked Nina if she would like me to feed her that wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner and she said, no, she wasn't hungry. I knew that she would never eat that Dinner, that bringing it to her had just been a gesture of kindness. I stayed with her for a while as I tried to reassure and console her. It seemed as though this would be an impossible task. We talked about God and so many other things. Nina and I became friends that afternoon. We made a deal that day. I told her that when it's my turn to go home that she needs to meet me and show me the ropes up in Heaven. Nina smiled and said that she would be there. Then Nina told me that she loved me, she
reached to hug me and gave me a kiss. I kissed her cheek. My friend Nina is still alive as of this writing and I go see her for a little while every day. She recognizes me, tells me she loves me, she kisses me and I kiss her back. She tells me how sick she feels and I hold her hand and caress her face. She tells me that she's ready to go whenever the Lord calls her. I look at her and see that yes, indeed, she is ready to end her suffering and start her new life in Heaven. But she's not quite so lonely anymore. I know
that one day I will go to visit her and there will be a made up bed in her room. And I know I will cry and mourn my friend Nina. But I will also be happy, knowing that she is living her new wonderful life in a brand new body. And maybe when I do reach that golden shore, she will be waiting for me along with my mother and grandmother.
So, in the end, this Thanksgiving turned out to be a wonderful Thanksgiving. I have left old traditions and started new ones. I have a new friend that I will visit at least once a week. And I have a new friend that is about to depart.
Thanksgiving, the beginning of the Holiday Season. 'Tis the Season to be jolly! 'Tis the season for presents! 'Tis the season to visit families. 'Tis the season where so many are lonely. “Tis the season where so many are frightened. 'Tis the season where so many are ill. 'Tis the season where so many are dying, alone.

This article was written in November, 2005. Miss Nina did live and after getting better was
transferred to a nursing home where she spent the rest of her life. She passed away
about a year later.

now, i taught myself about silver early on in my health quest and have seen it do amazing things. i dont sell silver, so i can make even more bold statements than the good folks at utopia.
i have seen silver save the lives of cats and dogs. i know of a 14 yo boxer that should have died a long time ago and who was poisoned by the bad dogfood from china recently so that he stopped walking and he is friskier today than he has been in years. i have seen cats who were poisoned by teflon so bad that they gained terrible weight and hissed at everything in extreme anxiety and panic lose weight and become friendly after ingesting silver. my dad was given some little dogs one time and they all acted like they had parvo and got to the point they wouldnt eat. a couple of weeks after starting them on silver, they were eating and getting pregnant and having healthy puppies. i have also cured a case of mrsa on the leg of a friend of mine which the doctors had given up on.
i checked the website of utopia and found it congruent with all that i have learned about silver. the product they have is exactly what a person wants for any use, internal or external, in any orifice and for any infection, be it viral or bacterial, fungal or mold. if the silver can get to the effected area and/or if it remains wet as with external use, it will do its job.
thanks again for everything tony. i am going to use the colloidal gold over the next weeks and will have a report on that at some point. i have done a little colloidal gold from the mesosilver people a few years back. i am in much better shape now and will be able to tell more about it.
thanks for the soap, too. you must have heard of my two weeks without a bath! lol.
love to you all and good luck to utopia in fighting the despots our government has become.

Pomegranates have always been intimidating, haven’t they? They're beautiful but dangerous, squirting their permanent red juice everywhere when you try to wrestle the seeds out. But this holiday season, some local markets have gotten smart and hung a how-to sign next to baskets of the knobby red fruit.
The secret, it turns out, is to break apart pomegranates underwater. Here’s the trick: Score the leathery rind, and then submerge the fruit in a bowl of water while you break apart the segments and tease the seeds free from the white pith. The pith floats, so it's easy to skim off. Pour the rest through a colander and in minutes you'll have hundreds of seeds and no stains!
Pomegranate seeds are worth the trouble because they're an antiaging, skin-protecting, cancer-fighting powerhouse -- a true RealAge food. Each bittersweet seed is packed with anthocyanins, vitamin C, lycopene, and resveratrol. Research in humans has shown that the juice reduces several risk factors for heart disease and inhibits tumor growth. But the star of the show, beauty-wise, is ellagic acid.
"Ellagic acid increases the body's built-in supply of glutathione, an antioxidant that both protects DNA and helps recycle estrogen, which protects skin cells. It also inhibits certain enzymes in ways that give cells time to divide normally," explains Los Angeles dermatologist Howard Murad, MD, who has been putting pomegranate extract in his line of skin care products for nearly 20 years.
The ancient Greeks believed that eating this "apple of many seeds" might lead to immortality. And, hey, anything that keeps skin cells plump a little longer, maintains a healthier heart, and holds promise for preventing cancer has got to be good, right?

Online reports / book announcements
Dear readers,
Did you know you have probably never been told the straight truth
about one of the most potent, yet overlooked, healing nutrients in the
world? In fact, medical groups have actually spent the past three
decades convincing you to avoid this "nutrient" by scaring you into
thinking it causes cancer.
But the truth is far different. Strong clinical evidence proves this
"nutrient" actually prevents and helps REVERSE an astounding number of
serious diseases (and I'll tell you all about it right here),
including:
* Prostate cancer
* Breast cancer
* Osteoporosis
* Depression
* Gum disease
* Schizophrenia
* Diabetes
Curious what this "nutrient" really is? Let me give you some hints:
It moves at the speed of light. You can feel it (it feels warm), but
you can't touch it. Without it, there would be no life whatsoever on
planet Earth. And it can't be patented or sold for profit.
What is it? Sunlight.
I'm talking about natural, healthy sunshine, which enables your body
to make its own lifesaving vitamin D. Today, I want to share with you
the secrets of its health benefits in a fascinating special report
called, "The Healing Power of Sunshine and Vitamin D." It's available
for downloading right now at:
http://downloads.truthpublishing.com/Sunlight.pdf
(Adobe Acrobat format)
This special report contains information you probably won't hear from
your doctor or dermatologist, because it goes against everything they
believe about sunlight. But recent research is proving that not
getting enough sunlight is extremely dangerous to your health because
it causes vitamin D deficiencies that promote chronic disease.
Seeking out sunlight in safe, reasonable doses, on the other hand,
does wonders for your health and may, in fact, render all sorts of
conventional medical therapies irrelevant. Again, you can get the full
story in this fascinating special report right now:
http://downloads.truthpublishing.com/Sunlight.pdf
(Adobe Acrobat format)
This special report features an interview with Dr. Michael Holick,
one of the world's leading experts on vitamin D and sunlight. In "The
Healing Power of Sunlight," he discusses his fascinating research.
You'll learn things like:
* How vitamin D deficiencies have been directly linked to several
types of cancer.
* In a study of African-American, Latino, and Caucasian women who had
just given birth, 76% were deficient in vitamin D and 81% of the
infants were deficient.
* A study in Finland showed that infants who were deficient in
vitamin D had an 80% increased risk of developing Type-2 diabetes as
an adult.
* 32% of students and doctors in Boston are deficient in vitamin D by
the end of winter.
* 40% to 60% of elderly people are at risk for vitamin D deficiency.
In "The Healing Power of Sunshine and Vitamin D," Dr. Holick also
explains little-known facts about sunshine and vitamin D. In this
special report, you'll learn:
* How proper nutrition helps you avoid sunburn without using chemical
sunscreens
* What the right amount of sunlight is for your body
* How vitamin D deficiencies cause prostate cancer, breast cancer,
osteoporosis and other diseases
* The true cause of asthma and why antihistamines only conceal the
symptoms of the disease rather than treating its cause
* How to calculate how much sunlight you need based on your ancestry
and current geographical location
* Seasonal Affective Disorder: how to treat it with sunlight exposure
* Why you can't get enough vitamin D from diet alone
* Why U.K. dermatologists support more sun exposure, but the U.S.
dermatology association refuses to change its stance
* How a lack of vitamin D may contribute to schizophrenia
* Why it is harder to absorb adequate amounts of calcium without
sufficient vitamin D
Take advantage of this information right now. It's "must-have"
knowledge that no person should go without. This information has
literally changed my health and my life, and I believe it can change
yours as well.

I have been meaning to write this blog for at least a week now. I am just so busy, things come up, I get sidetracked.
Yet, I have just finished writing a message to a friend of mine about her cancer. I can imagine how a person feels when they have cancer. They put all their trust in their doctor and the treatments thinking that it will cure them. Actually, hoping that it will cure them. When I am dealing with someone that I do not know very well, I try to be as gentle as I can, yet nudging a bit trying to impress on them how harmful chemo really is.
What I want to say to them is, Stop the chemo. This is what is killing you! Chemo destroys cancer cells. It also destroys good cells. It destroys your organs. And it destroys your immune system. Should there be a remission, it is short lived and the cancer always returns.
Only 2% to 4% of all cancers are cured. The medical profession now says that if you are in remission for five years you are cured. If the cancer returns after five years, it is attributed to another cause.
My friend told me that she is spending a fortune on chemo. Of course. Medicine is about making money. If you are cured, that is the end of their money supply. Doctors are trained to "treat" you not to "cure" you. And before it is all over, like everybody else following this path, she will be left in financial ruin.
I became a natural health advocate after my mother's death. When I finally realized that the very medicines that the doctor was giving her were killing her, it was too late. She was already in hospice and all I could do was love her until the end. And that is when I began my quest on learning about alternative health. The only time I have gone to a doctor since then was when I fell off a stage after singing and broke my arm, dislocating my shoulder. They are good at fixing body parts. When it comes to diseases, they still look at the disease as a separate entity, a part, and that is how they fight it. The disease, is actually more involved than that. It is more than just a germ, more than just a tumor. The disease is a sign that your body is not functioning up to par. The disease is a sign that your immune system functioning as it should. Fight the disease treating the patient's body, mind, and spirit, and you will achieve perfect healing and total wellness.
Cancer has entered the body because the liver is not functioning at its best. It is not getting rid of the toxins effectively. Cancer enters the body because the immune system is weak. Strengthen the immune system instead of destroying it with chemo and the cancer will disappear. Cancer enters the body when its ph level is not level. Look at a swimming pool. When the ph level is not even, it turns green, unfit for swimming. Same thing with our bodies. If we have a perfect ph level, it is impossible to become ill. If we have a perfect ph level, it is impossible for cancer to exist in our bodies.
I talk to a lot of cancer patients. Doctors will tell them that herbs are not approved by the FDA and will do them harm. I know doctors that have instructed their patients not to even take vitamins. Have you heard of such thing?
Yet, herbs and vitamins are natures way of healing. Doctor's healing methods are synthetic medicines that make your body dependent on them and are ridden with dangerous side effects.
Where many years ago doctors had our best interests in mind, now they don't. It's all about money and we have become nothing but cattle going through their offices.
I get several different responses when I tell someone about natural healing methods. The first is rejection. They cling to what their doctor tells them. My heart simply breaks when someone who has been told they are terminal chooses to listen to their doctor and like a good little boy or girl goes home to begin the dying process. They listen to their doctors even unto death. By the way, telling someone that their life is over and there is no more hope is nothing less than emotional rape. I have seen people given months to live go to natural alternatives and be healed of their cancer once and for all. The truth is that is never too late.
Some, however, are open to natural alternatives, and that is why I am here to help people live longer, healthier, and happier.
In another blog I will tell you how I rid my body of asthma, arthritis, fibromyalgia, anxiety naturally and now I am treating my thyroid. Yes, after my mother's death. However, one should never stop taking medication on their own. It must be done under a professional's supervision.
Living naturally includes the proper diet and exercise. It is a brand new way of living, but also more fulfilling.
I invite you to The Best Years in Life, http://tbyil.com
This is a site, especially for Boomers. But anyone interested in a healthy lifestyle is more than welcome. It is under construction and we will be launching shortly. However, there is so much for you there. There are articles, recipes, and all sorts of things. And there will be much more as each day passes.
We have our forums listed on this site, should you want to join or should you have any questions. Myself and Tony Isaacs will be more than happy to answer your questions.
Life is a precious gift.....

A new study by researchers at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health finds that folic acid supplements can dramatically lower blood arsenic levels in individuals exposed to arsenic through contaminated drinking water. This toxic element, naturally present in some aquifers used for drinking, is currently a significant public health problem in at least 70 countries, including several developing countries and also parts of the U.S. Chronic arsenic exposure is associated with increased risk for skin, liver and bladder cancers, skin lesions, cardiovascular disease, and other adverse health outcomes. The study results are published in the October issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
The researchers found that treatment with 400 micrograms a day of folic acid, the U.S. recommended dietary allowance, reduced total blood arsenic levels in the study population by 14 percent. Folate, a B vitamin found in leafy vegetables, citrus fruits, beans, and whole grains, can also be taken as a vitamin supplement, and in the U.S., is added to flour and other fortified foods. The researchers found that folate deficiency is very common in Bangladesh, where the study was conducted.
"Folic acid supplementation enhanced the detoxification of arsenic to a form that is more readily excreted in urine," said Mary Gamble, PhD, assistant professor of Environmental Health Sciences at the Mailman School, and lead author. The study is jointly supported by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, part of the National Institutes of Health and the federally funded Superfund Basic Research Program (SPRB), which seeks solutions to the complex health and environmental issues associated with the nation's hazardous waste sites.
Folic acid increased the methylation or detoxification of arsenic in the body, allowing the body to change some of its more toxic metabolite, or methylarsonic (MMA) acid, to a form that could more easily be excreted from the body, thus lowering the levels of arsenic found in the blood.
Chronic arsenic exposure currently affects 100 million persons worldwide, including populations in Bangladesh. The arsenic levels in drinking water in some parts of Bangladesh reach as high as 100 times the World Health Organization and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines, which set a limit of 10 micrograms per liter for arsenic in drinking water.
The initial intervention study included 200 folate-deficient participants drawn from a larger cohort study in Bangladesh examining the adverse health effects of arsenic. Dr. Gamble pointed out, "The technology to measure arsenic in blood, and particularly to measure the individual arsenic metabolites in blood, didn't exist when the studies were first planned." She credits the advanced technology to recent advances in other laboratories at Columbia, including work conducted by Superfund grantee Joseph H. Graziano, PhD, professor of Environmental Health Sciences at the Mailman School, and a co-author on the study.
"Clearly the first priority should focus on mitigation efforts to lower arsenic exposure. But this very exciting and significant finding implies that folic acid has therapeutic potential for people who have been exposed to arsenic," said Dr. Gamble. "Although additional studies are needed, the results of this study suggest that a simple, low-cost nutritional intervention may help to prevent some of the long-term health consequences associated with arsenic exposure for the many populations at risk."
William Suk, PhD, acting deputy director of the NIEHS, discussed the significance of this work in Bangladesh to the U.S. He explains that arsenic contamination of groundwater is one of the five most common inorganic compounds found at Superfund sites and is present at over 70% of the sites. "Because of the prevalence of arsenic, the SBRP has placed an emphasis on supporting arsenic-related research in heavily affected areas all over the world to understand and mitigate the health issues arising from arsenic exposure via drinking water. This research is already demonstrating its relevance to exposures that are occurring in the United States."
Claudia Thompson, PhD, acting director of the SPRB, said, "The work that our grantees are doing in Bangladesh is extraordinary. Not only is the research they are conducting improving the quality of life for the people in Bangladesh, but it can potentially help the more than 100 million people worldwide that are chronically exposed to arsenic."
The study results also imply that folic acid supplementation may help to reduce body stores of arsenic even after exposure has been reduced. Elevated risk for adverse health outcomes persists for decades after exposure has been eliminated. The researchers stress that additional studies are needed to determine the optimal dose- and duration of treatment, as well as studies that include health outcomes.

Growing Self Esteem By Action
We all have a very common chartacteristic. Women do, anyway,. I am not sure how men deal with this sort of situation. Maybe eat all sorts of junk food while watching their different types of sports?
Well, today I will deal with the art of loving oneself through properly nourishing your body.
It is so very common to have no problem cooking a healthy meal for your family. This is automatic. However, for many, it is also automatic to not cook for ourselves the minute we find ourselves alone. Once that person that we take care of is not there, we stop cooking healthy meals. And what is the reason do you suppose? It is too much trouble. You will find that many times it is a subconscious decision. It is even worse if the person in question is hungry and will make a conscious decision not to cook, reaching for a frozen dinner or something just to satisfy the hunger. Anything will do, such as what is easily available: crackers, cookies, chocolate, a leftover piece of cake. Those that live alone can actually make themselves ill over a prolonged period of eating like this. The body simply is not getting its proper nutrients. Although a depressed person may not have the initiative to go through the effort of cooking for themselves, this type of substance abuse can also cause depression, and if one is depressed already, it can make it so much worse. Those chemicals need the proper nutrition to be balanced. I use the term “substance abuse†on purpose, as not eating properly is indeed substance abuse.
One really doesn't have to go through a big deal to cook for themselves. If they cannot bring themselves to cook a meal, then keep healthy snacks in your refrigerator. Raw vegetables, for example, especially broccoli and spinach. Eat salads, but always make sure you are getting the proper proteins to maintain a healthy body. Eating raw vegetables will keep you healthy and is perfect for weight loss and maintaining your ideal weight. Low fat cottage cheese is an ideal dip. Don't buy the ready made dips in the stores as you will find the fat content to be very high. Even in the Veggie dips. Always read the labels. Better to make your own.
I am very undisciplined when it comes to eating. If I have something that I should not eat in the house, that is exactly what I will eat. My personal challenge is emotional eating. Eating makes me feel good. It makes me happy. And of course it's those wondrous carbs that seem to fill that empty space. So I monitor myself very carefully and simply don't allow unhealthy foods in my house. When a special occasion arrives, I will eat to my delight!
Also, watch what you drink. Sodas are very, very bad for you, whether they are the regular sugary kind or the diet ones. Both are very bad for your health. Teas, especially green teas are good for you. You even have to be careful with milk nowadays. I buy organic milk only. The best beverage so far is water. Drink that water. Of course, make sure you have the proper filtering system, and be very wary of bottled water. The plastic bottles will leak dangerous chemicals into the water over a period of time. Of course, bottled water is preferable to soda. Make sure that the water you buy has not had a long shelf life. The longer the storage, the higher probability of the leak. This is a very hard call to make and one that has me very concerned, not to mention that these plastic bottles are so very harmful for our environment. We need to go back to glass and those days when you could take the bottle back and redeem your nickel. We really do need to get back to basics. We are so very spoiled. If you are going to be out of the house for a while and you think that you might get thirsty, bring your own water in a cooler. A bit of trouble but isn't your health worth it? More importantly, aren't you worth the trouble?
The moral of this article? One of the best ways of creating self esteem is by action, by how you take care of yourself, especially when no one else is around. Don't be lonely. Be alone. Learn to cherish the moments that you are alone, look around you, embrace the day, whether it is good weather or bad weather. It is all beautiful. Embrace the day no matter what season. Look out the window and give thanks. Enjoy your house. Make your house a place that you love. Give it your special touch. Make it your castle, a place that exudes comfort and warmth. The best way to learn to love yourself is by action, by doing for yourself the same thing you would do for your loved ones were they with you.
Go through the actions. You will find that you are your own best friend and then watch and see what life brings your way. It will bring wonderful people and things to enhance it. And then you will find that your life doesn't depend on these people, because you have found where true love is. It is within yourself.
