Life Goes On
I feel it's time to let my Boomer online friends know some of what's going on in my personal life. I’d like to thank the Design Team for picking up my slack without complaining and for putting my health and well being first. Administrator, John and Staff, Ally, I appreciated you for being there for me.
My husband is in need of a liver transplant, someone has to die for another to live. I was diagnosed in April 2017 with non small cell lung cancer, initialed, â€NSCLC“. After having a large tumor removed along with my right lung. The Surgeon told me he could not remove all the cancer, 12 were still in my limp nodes. It's been an emotion roller coaster ride. My feeling can't be put into words. For those who do not believe in God, I don't know how you survive life's storms? I'm not hear to preach, excepting to believe is a personal choice. However, I can tell you this, God is alive, He is my rock. My husband now believes, he's a changed man. It hurts, it's hard to watch him pass. I feel by watching his actions where my husband will spend eternity. Though God is our final judge through Jesus. I know who to run to when I need peace, my Lord God Jesus Christ.
I ask for prayers, not pity nor attention. Though messages are nice letting me know you’re sorry, I’m very tired. “My Boomer Placeâ€, is one of my escapes. I felt compelled to let you know this today. Tell your loved ones, family, asnd, friends, everyday how much you care. Although it may not be your best of days, one never knows what the next moment might bring.
Thank you for taking the time to read. Please continue talking and laughing with me as if you don’t know what’s going on in the life of that “no holding back†“crazyâ€, and “hot headed†“sweet†kaylou. One more thing, the next time someone deletes you, it’s no biggie. You don’t fit into their world and why would you want to.? Love, Karen

Life Goes On - 11/ 24/2019.…..
During early Summer 2019 cancer returned to my body which changed all. August 7th 2019 my husband passed. He passed in a nursing home while I was being cared for by my mom and family. This has kept me very busy. That’s why I’ve not been online for most of the summer / Fall. However, Without going into detail, TRUST NO ONE!
“Life Goes Onâ€.
“If I live Alone, I Can Eat P & J Out Of The Jar Double Dipâ€
Wait! I can’t finish without leaving you with more advice.
If you are a Lucky Charm cereal eater and your mom has a sweet tooth keep an eye on her or your bowl will not be sweet or colorful.
Having a dorm room, sharing a bath and kitchen is not easy to adjust.

On the 19th day of May, 2016 our immediate family had gathered together because of my Daddy’s illness. Every hour I gave my Dad morphine for pain, at 11:50 AM I stepped out onto the front porch knowing I had 10 minutes before his next dose. I watched as neighbors in this very populated neighborhood mowed their lawns, cars traveling up and down the street, while listening to the sounds of the city.
Just as I started to get up from the patio chair, a young eagle flew before me landing in a tree across the street. I walked into the house saying “You’re going to think I’m crazy, I just seen an eagle.†It was at that very moment my Sister came from the bedroom with tears in her eyes, saying “My Daddy Is Gone.†She was given the last Bible our daddy carried home with her that night. Our daddy had Ministered for years. She called me telling me she had found in the back of his Bible this scripture taped with a picture of an eagle on it. “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.†Isaiah 40:31.
Yes, our Daddy took flight the moment I seen that eagle. By the way, that eagle returned long enough for others to view him, neighbors as well, all eyes were on the sky in disbelief.
