A ame currently with my daughter
Her Golden Retriever’s condition
deteriorated rapidly;
we rushed to the vet
on a stretcher,
in tears,
and sadly, nothing
could be done—
he had to be put to sleep.
It’s terrible.
I’m staying here for the cremation,
which is taking place tomorrow;
I’m feeling quite unwell
and very shaken by it all,
trying to support my child however I can.
I hope you all

The golden amber fade's to rose,
As daylight softly draw's to close.
The sun yields up it's fiery crown,
And sink's beneath the quiet mountain's.
Then step's the silver moon on high,
A silent queen across the sky.
In velvet darkness, dark and deep.
She lull's the weary world to sleep.
And where the fading ember's gleam,
The long shadow's stretch and dream.
Creeping softly across the floor,
Till light is seen and known no more.
