The list is long and easily recognizable I suppose, but I seldom go to the theater, preferring to wait for the video to come out and then renting it from NetFlix.

Golden Oldies, of course, and some country music (especially if it tells a story). I also like semi-classical music and new age music by such people as Enya, Herb Ernst, etc.

I never got into hard rock and I have no use for rap.

Popular fiction and some autobiographies. I read a fair bit and also enjoy listening to audiobooks (been an Audible customer almost from the day it came online).

Humm. Well let's see...About ten years ago at the age of 53 I took some horseback riding lessons and fell in love with those beautiful animals. Did a lont of riding back then but don't do any these days since moving to north Georgia, but I sure would like to. I am also a licensed amateur radio operator (advanced class license). I have begun to develop an interest in photography but I am just a "clicker" right now...not even a sub-novice photographer! Off and on over the last several years I have gotten into stamping handmade greeting cards. Probably doesn't sound very manly, but it is about the only way I can express my artistic side as I can't draw or paint anything other than stick figures!

Been a member here for several years but very inactive until recently. As of 2004, I'm a retired retail business owner. While waiting for my wife to retire in 2010, I did some substitute teaching as well as some volunteer work with children who had motor skill problems due to various diseases. In 2011 we moved from hot, humid, muggy southeast Georgia to the much cooler climate of the north Georgia mountains up around Blue Ridge (almost to the Tennessee border). There is a sign hanging next to the front door of our cabin that reads "An old bear lives here with his honey". Guess that about describes my life now!

As I get older I find myself having less and less respect for politicians as a group. There may be a few exceptions, but it just seems to me that there is no one left with anything even remotely approaching altruistic motives or who is genuinely interested in their constituents' concerns. I have no use for people who go waaay overboard with the whole "political correctness" thing; also People who would rather argue merely for the sake of arguing. That said though, I am a political conservative with no political party affiliation but with a keen interest in my country's future (which doesn't seem so rosy at the moment).
