Sweetie!

I'll never lie to you...

Will you listen to my story, and hear my song?

I'd like that!

MUAH!

Love always, Annette "That's All!"

Annette
Hanshaw (October 18, 1901 - March 13, 1985) was one of the first great
female jazz singers of the 1920's and 1930's. Winner of Radioland's fan
contest, given to title of "The Personality Girl," along with Bing
Crosby as their favorite singers in 1933. Star of recorded music,
selling over 1/2 million records and the star of the most popular radio
show, "Captain Henry's Showboat," broadcasted live, on NBC from 1932 to
1934 from coast to coast with a second broadcast for the west coast.
Annette was the highest paid music star earning $1500 for 15 minutes
twice a week for 2 years! Annette quit show business at the height of
her career, turning down lucrative offers to star in Hollywood and for
the Florenz Ziegfeld, as she didn't want to leave New York, where she
made a fortune as a radio star!
