I like to listen Leon Russle, or the Eagles so it is hard to listen to some of the new rockers!!

You might like some of the blues that the White Stripes did on their self-titled cd. Jack White is a master of the slide! Their cd's are available at most retail outlets, I think even Wal-Mart carries them or Target. There's a cd place at most malls too. "White Stripes downloads" On more of a country side is Blanche and they can be heard HERE. Several songs are there that you can download and listen to just to see if you like it. Audra Kubat plays more folk-type music, you might like the lyrical quality of her music HERE.

The Metro Times always has lots of information about what is happening with Detroit musicians, it's a good source to find out what you might like. My daughter's friends have a band called the Hotwalls that are pretty good, they are playing in Ferndale on May 31 and another friend of hers is in theVolebeats who just had some of their music in the movie "Shop Girl" with Steve Martin. There is a lot of variety in the music scene that is developing now...I'm glad you are interested in checking it out!

Detroit Is Where It's At!!
Some of the best music in the past came out of Detroit, and nothing has changed! Whether you know it or not, Detroit has produced the likes of the White Stripes, the Dirtbombs, Detroit Cobras, Hard Lessons, the Sirens, Blanche, Loretta and the Larkspurs, Troy Gregory and the Stepsisters, Cyril Lords and I could go on and on.

Please take a clue and give them a listen!
