You might like some of the blues that the White Stripes did on their self-titled cd. Jack White is a master of the slide! Their cd's are available at most retail outlets, I think even Wal-Mart carries them or Target. There's a cd place at most malls too.

The Metro Times always has lots of information about what is happening with Detroit musicians, it's a good source to find out what you might like. My daughter's friends have a band called
the Hotwalls that are pretty good, they are playing in Ferndale on May 31 and another friend of hers is in the
Volebeats who just had some of their music in the movie "Shop Girl" with Steve Martin. There is a lot of variety in the music scene that is developing now...I'm glad you are interested in checking it out!
