BOOKS
Dan Brown, Margaret Atwood, Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov and Elizabeth Howard. These are my favorite authors. I read a lot of non-fiction as well.
HOBBIES
Sewing, knitting, going on ventures with my kids and grandkids. Going to museums. Watching IFC and Sundance channel on TV, as well as the Discovery channels and anything DIY.
Here I am, with my associate of applied science degree in hand, and no job to work my magic! I've been out of school since May 2008, where I graduated with honors (4.0 GPA!) and even gave a speech at commencement because I was awarded the Paul Karr award for community service and academic achievement. Still, it's been really hard to find a job. Mostly it's because Michigan's job scene is so depressed, especially in the Flint area. I can't commute very far and am stuck in a mortgage for another few years with a more depressed real estate situation. So I try to freelance, do some sewing and try to keep my family from killing each other!
TURN ON'S
I love Detroit's rock scene and going to festivals and the Magic Stick and concerts. Flint's art scene is looking good too, Red Ink Studio is a great place to hang out during an opening. Learning new things to do with computers, now that I have photoshop and illustrator and need to learn more about it. DARK CHOCOLATE!
TURN OFF'S
Close-minded conservative old fogeys. I know there are none of that sort here, right?
