In those summer days, one of my favorite walks was to stroll down Cannery Row, which was once the site of several sardine canning factories, now defunct: the last one had closed in 1973. The main street was officially named in January 1958 in honor of local writer John Steinbeck and his 1945 novel "Cannery Row." In the opening sentence he described the street with these words: "Cannery Row in Monterey in California is a poem, a stink, a grating noise, a quality of light, a tone, a habit, a nostalgia, a dream."

then i went to walgreen for my med's then got the flu and covid short.
then i went to VFW meeting., few people there the president, never called to say it was cancelled. when i left I bought a pizza to take home for dinner.
We have the power to shape our future according to our deepest aspirations and we can decide to let the wind chase away the clouds of the past and create tomorrow's sunshine. We can accept the pleasant surprises or choose the cause event. We hold in our hands the reins of our lives and with these words I wish for you a wonderful Thursday evening.
