There is a bar, not unlike this one, the is open to the elements and you can look out to the sea. But in this case it looks out to the Mississippi river. It's in Grafton, IL and called 3rd Chute. There are indeed sail boats as on the coast but not cruise ships. There are however tug boats, barges and yachts. I always go there once in the spring and once in the fall to bring in the new season.
