My grand parents farm was on a river…. One year it flooded so bad that we rode in a boat over top of a five plank fence. Like Johnny cash’s hit…how highs the water momma. Five feet high and risin.
When I was a kid we would haul the waste away from the Jim beam distillery to feed the cows. I love the smell of the distillery. And now I’ve been known to to raise a glass ߥ cheers to find family memories.
Thank you BOBBY. I can tell you it's the worst pain I've ever had to endure. No one is ever prepared to lose their parents. To be honest, I never wanted to go through this because it hurts deeply and will hurt forever.
We always went to my grandparents house for Christmas and everyone would bring food. They had a grand old house with a banister that we would try to slide down …. One of my aunts got hurt sliding down it when she was young so grandma would have none of that. Grandma retired from Jim beam … grandpa farmed until he couldn’t.
I remember her being covered in flour by the time she was done lol...it was alot of work, but she loved to cook and bake. Everything always from scratch...she was my beloved Oma...
