I've been getting a black screen off and on for abt a month, but I would force quit and restart my computer then it would work ok for a bit. Some days I would have to do that up to 6 times a day, some days none. The little battery icon would always say "service recommended", but it wasn't the battery after all. The computer doctor spent the a while with the new battery trying it out, but it got worse once the new battery got put in, he did finally figure out it was the "motherboard"...and today it "breathed its last breath"so to speak ߤ
