Good Evening June, a beautiful sunny 72 for the high and still 72 at 6 p.m. I have a watch that was ,y Grandfathers a real Elgin, which they do not make real one 's any more. This one is 1942 (82 years old) befor I got it, it had sit in a box for 40 yrs, and I wound it up and it started right up and been working ever since I got it 5 years ago. A real nice watch. But glad you got one for 27 dollars. I have a timex that I have had since 1998 and it is a battery one, and it would still run if I had a battery in it, but since I have the one that I wind up I don't need the other one. Evening very chilly day only 60 with rain., they say rain all weekend'its ok were do.
I went for tea with the ladies, then to kohl's I needed a watch mine i needed a battery but decided on a new one., got a good deal, 68.00 had coupons so i got it for 27.00 was a timex.., hope you had a good day, see you in the morning.
June, here is my suggestion. Find the State Headquaters for the VFW and either call them or send them a email. And explain what happened and the distance you have to drive to get their for no meeting, and tell them that you are going to resign from the board. And if the state gives you no answe then talk to the National VFW. Since your a life member or a PFUL (Paid for Life) memberlike I am with the American Legion, you can just stop going and still have full benefits of your membership and never enter a VFW Post. Good Morning June, 47 at 7:30 a.m. How come the VFW membership there doesn't vote a new Commander into place/ Maybe no one once to run for the office? I hope it is not far to have to go for the meeting and then there is not one. To bad you could not have found close by a Ladies Aux. of the the American Legion (AL) I think you would like them better. But I guess there is not one close by. Seems this week went by very fast. My wife use to get her meds through CVS, now we have a local drug store 4 minutes from the house. I wonder why the "so-called" VFW Commander doesn't say there is no meeting? Evening was light rain today, cleaning guy came.,
then i went to walgreen for my med's then got the flu and covid short.
then i went to VFW meeting., few people there the president, never called to say it was cancelled. when i left I bought a pizza to take home for dinner.
Good Nite June... we had a great day .. but will be getting your rain this Tue thr Friday...I want to get pumkins, but the squirrels alway have them for dinner, Oh No!!
