Slowly, evening falls over the city,

and the lights come on one by one,

like warm thoughts in the soul.

The air is still,

and time seems to stop for a moment.

Hurried footsteps can be heard in the streets,

but a pleasant calm remains in the heart,

that of the end of the day.

The sky is colored in shades of purple and gold,

and the wind blows gently,

carrying with it the scent of leaves and longing.

It is a time for beautiful thoughts,

Hello friends. Still hot here but I know Fall is around the corner! The harvest moon was glorious last night.  Hope you got to see it in your area. We had lots of clouds but I was able to see it for a short while.

What are your autumn days like,

Autumn days have a 

special charm for me 

the air is cooler,but still mild,

and the sunlight has a warm, golden hue.

The leaves dance on the streets

in fiery colors red, copper,

and pale yellow

and everything seems quieter,

more introspective.

The smell of rain and

dry leaves brings a

pleasant melancholy,

like a memory from an old story.

It is the season of hot tea,

fluffy blankets,

and thoughts that settle nicely,

like leaves in the wind.

I've noticed more and more neighborhoods are getting their yards decorated for Halloween. We don't, I just have "fall type" of decorations on the front porch area, do you decorate for Halloween? Also, I stopped handing out candy for trick or treaters about 4 yrs ago...because of all the businesses doing "trunk and treats" type events, we barely had any kids come around, that saved us a lot of money on candy! LOL!

I guess by now you know it is Taco Tuesday for us.  We have an errand to run that might take a while today, so it will be late this afternoon before we get our Tacos from Rosa's.  

At least we can listen to music while we are in the car.  

We will still try to get our shopping done today too.  Boy, groceries are expensive!  

I almost forgot that I have some flowers for you today!  The flowers blooming right now have lots of beautiful colors.
