October is being crazy here in my part of Texas, yesterday it was 54* at 6 a.m. got up to 90* during the heat of the day, (it was 87* at 6 pm last evening), today , this afternoon, it's only 77*, Mother Nature is having mood swings! LOL!
Another chilly morning, but should see 75 later this afternoon. I'm off to the blood bank shortly to donate..been a whole blood donor since 2009. I go every 2 months. (6 x year)..a former neighbor/friend works thre, so it's nice to catch up with her. Enjoy your day...
Hi Ric. Stormy day here with temps in the low 60's. We had a few medium showers. just enough to wet the top soil. Not a lot happening here. Went to the Scrabble group yesterday afternoon. Won a game and in the centre on the second so didn't do too badly. It's not about winning but more the enjoyment of good friends. Have a Podiatry appontment later in the week otherwise the days will be spent at home. House sat my daughters little dog today while she was at work. Kindy her little dog is petrified of storms and needs the company. She settled in with Muffy my little dog and was good.
What have you been doing? Prepring everything for the winter months I guess. Do you have many trees in your yard with leaves that change colour and fall? That would take some cleaning up. Have a pleasant Tuesday Ric. God Bless. Pat.
Hi Rick! it was 54* here this morning, but got up to 90* for our high, it's 87 right now, at 6:22 pm!
glad to hear you got your errands done today and won't have to worry about walking in the cold!
my favorite candy bar is Mounds, and I like it cold out of the refriigerator too! I also like my Snickers bar that way and M & M's frozen! LOL
I will be going to the podiatrist Wednesday morning...the pain in my foot isn't as severe when I don't do any walking...so these last few days have been good days for me.
have a wonderful evening and stay warm over the next few days!
We paid flood insurance here for over 30 years..once house note got paid off, we canceled it. Hurricane Helene hit a year ago September..it brought 14" rain here in 24 hours. Nothing floated away. We have a 16 x 24 building in back yard, (built last year). It sits adjacent to the creek. County will not approve passing flood inspection for it..even though they passed it for regular zoning code when we were preparing to have it built.
