To Kill a Mockingbird; Stephen King books (some of them); All short stories & poetry by Dorothy Parker (if you don't know her...look her up); So far NOTHING Oprah has recommended. I've tried most of them, but they leave me flat. Of course I'm currently reading Sidney Portier's "The Measure of a Man," which she recommended and I have to say, it's a "goodie."

writing short stories, childrens' books, novels, true life stories, poetry and music/lyrics. I've recently become a photography buff and find that a lot of fun. Also, cooking (love it) and interior design. Weirdly, I enjoy studying forensics and how it is used to solve crimes. I had to do research on it for a book I'm writing about a murder in my family.

First off, I'm NOT a Libra as my profile indicates for some unknown reason. I'm a Pisces.

I was married 25 years to a preacher.Loved him, got tired of the "ministry." Saw "behind the curtain" too much for my honesty and direct approach with people and life. Had 4 BEAUTIFUL children with him. Then remarried, 7 years now. He has 1 adult son. Second marriages are a challenge...especially when you're a little "older." I was 41 when I met my 2nd husband and it was love at first sight. But we have our MAJOR differences and that does present problems. It's funny, if I could combine my 1st husband with my 2nd I'd have the PERFECT MAN. Doesn't really work that way, gals. But I take it one day at a time, the good and the bad. And I never know what's around the next bend.

Kindness to children and animals. Patience, consideration, acceptance and being happy and content with where you are in life and what you have at the moment. I'm not a dreamer....I'm a realist who dreams. :)

Arrogance, rude people, road rage, being told HOW I should feel about something rather than "allowing" me to FEEL whatever. Anyone who puts down my kids (adult kids...but still my "young'ens."
