Going To See Hemingway...
Posted On 04/13/2007 04:04:48
The anticipation was almost more then I could control as Gracie navigated us to finding the Ernest Hemingway museum and his childhood home in Oak Park, Illinois. To say that he was my inspiration as a writer would be like saying that April 10 was just a bit better then another day on the calender. His books carried me away to a special place of my youth and as a bonus he wrote of his love for Northern Michigan, Mother Nature and "the Nick Adams stories" of fishing the two-hearted river for brook trout, getting lost in the woods and his minute descriptive account of everything nature has to offer to us as a gift from God.....

As we came closer the agony of pains in my personal life seemed to fade away from my conscience mind as my ex wife Karen was very sick in the hospital a long way away in Florida and my oldest son Jeff's struggle with alcoholism that seemed to leave a dark thunder cloud of emotions combined with the happiness I felt being with the woman I love. It was a whirlwind of emotions I was trying very hard to understand and control. Gracie had checked on plane flights to Orlando, Florida in case I would have to leave her and venture into the world of sadness once again. It was almost more then I could take but she knew the cure I needed and it was going to see Hemingway. This is why I love her with all my body and soul. She always finds a way to make me smile.....

The buildings in Oak Park with their majestic beauty took my breath away, my heart rate was elevated and seemingly jumping out of my chest and brought me back to my childhood when all was good in the world of a 10 year old boy who discovered a world where I could put aside my lack of self confidence and send me to Treasure Island or a treehouse on a deserted Island in my mind. That was when I realized I wanted to be a writer but I knew it was next to impossible to ever write like Hemingway, Dickens or Twain. I stood in front of the museum and Gracie took a picture of me with both thumbs up in appreciation of what was to be. My smile covered my face in obvious joy of anticapation of what was to come....

Walking in we saw a man at the desk and he was Hemingway with the salty beard and a hearty hello and we looked at each and didn't have to say that looking at a guard who looked like Hemingway fit in like the last piece of a 1000 pice puzzle of understanding. He led us to Connie who was most personable and so knowledgable of Hemingways life and when she realized I knew a bit about him too she lit up like a Christmas tree regaling her thoughts of this wonderful author and we talked too long and I was elated even though I hadn't even seen any of the valuable treasures inside....

I shared with her that I was an author also but it was a feeble attempt by me to feel like I was just like Hemingway in when I couldn't carry his pen and paper which he wrote such epic tales of 'the old man and the sea' and 'for whom the bell tolls'. I could almost hear that bell tolling for me, Easy and Gene E.A. Plankey....

I cannot possibly tell you all that we saw nor tell you how Gracie patiently listened to me go on and on at every exhibit bringing back the memories of all the books I had read or the remembrence of his life during his childhood, being an ambulance driver during World War one or fishing the trout streams in Upper Michigan. I choose to tell you only a few of the most inspiration moments of this day going to see Hemingway....

The first was of us walking up to a slanted desk which was where he wrote and the leather chair had a large H embossed in the back of the chair which included a picture of a fish, a trout no doubt. It was more then I could comprehend that he actually wrote the words that flowed like water running downstream at my favorite trout stream, 'the little Michigan'...

The second was a table where an old Royal typewriter sat. I also had an old Royal that my parents had bought me when they realized I loved to read and write as opposed to my fathers wishes that I know how to tune up a car and the trouble it casused in our relationship where he was so disappointed that his first son was not what he expected or wanted. It had caused a riff between us that neither of us were able to understand and it pained me to no end to know that I was not what he expected his first born son to be. I sat down as instructed by a sign that said to write a sentence of what Ernest M. had written long before I was alive and when my Grandfathers two brothers were fighting in France during World War one. I couldn't help but think of those two brothers who I never knew because they died of the terrible flu epidemic they brought home from that war. I typed, "He looked up at the sky, through the branches, and then shut his eyes" and I thought of my story, 'Lazy Deer Watchiung' where I wrote, "I tilt my head back and close my eyes as my blood pressure drops down to an idle". Wow!!!!!! I was not only going to see Hemingway but I realized that subconsciencely I had learned to write lkike him. I felt a certain satisfation in that while I turned to Gracie and her ever present smile knowing I was in heaven on earth and I said, "the W key doesn't work."......

The third and most important was the handwritten original draft of the Nick Adams story when he had crossed out 'me' and put 'him' and I had to laugh as h e had trouble separating self from the character he was writing about. How many times had I done just the same when I was trying to be Easy when I was Gene. To think that this man had the same problems I have was more then I could take and I held back the tears of joy of being closer to the man I went to see....

After we had seen every exhibit we went back to see Connie where I bought a tee shirt, a fresh copy of 'The Nick Adams stories" to read and a coffee mug that said, "It was a pleasent Cafe....I ordered au latt....and started to write." Ernest Hemingway.....

I take a drink now of my own coffee in the cup I bought and sit here writing this thought to you.....

It's funny how everything goes around and around and comes back in a cozy way to end this blog. Tommorrow, I will talk of sitting on the porch of where Hemingway played as achild and see the room where he was born and where his formative years inspired him to write the words we all love to read...

We left and I realized that Hemingway and I are the same in a rewarding sort of way and I realize I am an author just like my hero and I am determined to write more books and hone my talent in hopes I can also be an inspiration for another 10 year old boy who aspires to be something which seems so unitanible but can be done if he or she wants it bad enough as I did. Cancer couldn't stp me, a divorce couldn't stop me and I feel good in knowing that maybe I can write the words that others can read and be inspired to do the same....

In conclusion, I want to share what Hemingway said about his first book as he looked back at it years later. He wrote, "Of the place where he had been a boy he had written well enough. As well as he could then." I wrote at the end of Trout Falls Chroinicles, "I think it is a funny book, a rookie book...."

ThThe Days behind are Many and the Days ahead few...
Posted On 04/12/2007 04:42:34
The dusting of snow melted a bit last night with some rain and that is a good thing for sure as it starts snowing again outside my window from the den where I do my best thinking and hopefully my best writing. It has been very difficult to write anywhere else then the Penthouse Cabin and Gracie has felt guilty that I was not able to concentrate on my writing. It is bittersweet to me because I now have something other then writing in my life now which was needed for me to be a more well rounded person. The last few days I feel like I have been in the zone again and I don't know who is happier, her or me. Either way it is good to be back because we plan on spending the rest of our lives together in a blissful union of happiness doing the things we love to do according to Gods precious grace......

Today, we are going to visit the museum and home of my favorite writer Ernest Hemingway's parents in nearby Oak Park and I am beside myself waiting for 1 PM like I used to be on Christmas Eve. I have the nickname 'L.L. Hemingway' back home in Republic because of my love for fishing trout streams and my love for this gifted writer I wannabe like. I have camped by a trout stream like he did and ate the same pancakes he ate and even put sugar on the extra cakes to stuff into my pocket as I wade the stream in swearch of those tasty rainbow colored fish. I have read every one of his books more then once and the multitude of books written about him. When my son Jeff was very young I would read him "The Old Man and the Sea" instead of Dick, Jane and their trusty wonder dog Spot trying to pass off my love of reading to him. He didn't think much of it then but does now as he tells me I am the best Father any son could have. That means alot to me today.....

We all want to be accepted and loved for who we are today and not for what we may have been during the not so good years of our teens or our early life without something to lean on for support besides our mortal friends and family. We all want to leave a legacy of the good deeds we do in life and not be remembered for the mistakes we have made. It is all about forgiving ourself as God forgves us and if we can't we are lost in pergatory forever. All we have to do is look at our planet Earth and realize it is truly God sent and not the belief that we evolved from primates. If that were the case why do we still have primates? I am thankful I have the right to believe this and to write it to you now....

It is our choice to worship God or the wind, the ocean or the sun (a higher power) or whatever brings us to peace, love and contentment. What others do and how they live is their choice and I have no problem with that or look down at anyone with a different point of view as I expect them to offer me the same common cortesy. This is why we live in America, the land of the free and the land of the brave. Choices are just that...

So, were off to see for whom the bell tolls and I realize it tolls for us today and I ssmile the smile I offer to you every day. We both strongly believe that God has put us together for a reason and not only for the basic idea that we were both lonely souls. We look at the larger picture of what we can do together to make a difference in this troubled world of war, bigotry and selfeshness. Can we change the world for the good? We believe so and it starts in our little corner of Chicago and if the next person does and the next does it we all can pay it forward. I liken it to a small wave in the ocean that is nondescript but as it travels it gets larger and larger and everyone learns of it's virtuous power. This is why we have cornerstones in our churches. This is why we must start somewhere and try hard to give back something positive to others and expect nothing in return except for maybe a smile or an atta boy. And that is enough for me and my sweet Gracie...

Happy Thursday and I'll get off the pulpit now to enjoy another day that if we waste we will never get back and all of us boomers know the days before were many and the days ahead of us may be few. Use your day wisely and for the good of mankind in a peaceful, passive way and I think that is enough to get us by with a smile and a hearty hello with a compliment or two to others who mean so much to us. Or it can be just a stranger we pass on the street who also yearns for the validation that we are kind and caring people with love for all and hoperfully believe that hate can be a thing of the past.....

Anything is possible with God as our guide....

Thank You....

I'm sitting here in my den looking at the snow come down in hub cap size flakes and so much for walking downtown without my boots, down jacket and wool cap I left at the Penthousae Cabin thinking Chicago was far enough south to escape the tentacles of winter. Like usual, I was wrong. But, I must tell you all is well and I have fond super sized memories of my birthday yesterday...

I guess I would have to go back to when Kris was born to find a better one. Something like wine aging. While I was sleeping my sweet Gracie hung up a huge Happy Birthday sign above my head here and I sure am glad I looked up like my life is looking up. Later, we hit the thrift store, Walmart and Target trying to find a scrabble board game along with a new wardrobe for me. That was followed by a visit to Red Lobster because I told her I had a yearning for Alaskan King Crab legs because the I love that show about the most dangerous job on discovery channel. I like to think we were eating said crabs they were catching while I was watching. It was a wonderful meal as we giggled on jokes that others would wonder what they meant. Only we knew for sure...

After getting back home we pulled out the scrabble board and went at it like two educated romans in Toga's in the ring at the Acroplis. I am a very competitive person in anything I do and I Manheim steamrolled her the first two games as I distracted her in any way I could. She bounced back to beat me in the third game with "Yeesh" which I din't think was a word but her smile filled her face and I melted with a 'It's a word" smile. We found out it is a word used to subsitute for a swear word. All I could say is she was yeeshin' brilliant....

On a different tact I ask my friends to pray for my ex wife Karen who was rushed to the hospital last nite in Florida. She has Chron's disease and she has been disabled for many years now and is tired and looking for a little peace and good health that is impossible to find without a cure. I pray for that cure like I pray for a cure for Cancer. Please keep her in your prayers and don't forget to say an extra prayer for Bobbie and her latest Cat Scan....

My boomer friends cointinue to amaze me with all the wonderful birthday wishes sent my way and for Kris who was in tears last nite on the phone after talking to his Mother and it was a cruel turn of events on our birthday. Our faith is strong though as we don't worry because it is pointless concerning events out of our control. Turning it over to God gives us something to hold on to. The sincerity expressed by many of you touched Janet and I and it is something we will never forget, ever. I thank you all for that from the bottom of our large compassionate hearts.....

Happy Wednesday to all as I find the snow shovel from the basement. Be good, be kind and tell the one you love why you love them and be thankful they love you back. It is the perfect union of two people waiting to be whisked away to heaven where peace rules and the pain is not even remembered. What a beautiful gift God gives to us.....

April 10
Posted On 04/10/2007 04:23:45
On April 10, 1949, a Sunday, the People's Republic of China was officially formed.
The Soviet Union began testing nucear weapons.
The U.S. recognized the state of Isreal.
As of April 10, 2007: 21,184 Gene's have been born.
The New York Yankees won the World Series.
Hamlet the the best pictur at the Oscars.
The RMS Titanic leaves Southhampton, England.
Gallon of milk was .30 cents.
Gallon of gas was 25 cents.
A new car was $2,000.
On April 10, 1956 Nat King Cole was dragged off the stage and assailted by racists in Alabama.

It was April 10, 1973 and it was my birthday and my wife Karen was expecting our 2nd child and I was working in the glass plant in the Dearborn, Michigan Ford plant on the afternoon shift. I had to go to work and she had no symptoms at all. I was disappointed and when I punched in there was a note to get to Grace hospital because her labor pains had started just after I left. She called my best friend Dave Grutza, Godfather, for a ride which was our back up plan and I got there in time to glimpse her going up the elevator and only had time to blow her a kiss. I was of the type to not want to be in the delivery room and found the fathers room and I was in a phone booth, really, outside the room when I noticed someone was knocking on the door. It was my Doctor who said I had a second son and Karen was fine and in a weird way I was upset because I had planned for a long wait and watch the Stanley Cup hockey playoffs between the Detroit Red Wings and the dreaded Montreal Canadians. We named him Krtistopher Joel Plankey, Karen wanted Joel and I wanted Kris with a K and I thought he was beautiful even though I look at the pictures of him then and I was a doting, happy Father. As most of you know Kris has always been so sdpecial to me in only for being born on MY birthday. Little did I know I had lost mine to celebrate his. Waa Waa. LOL........

On April 10, 1949 it was Palm Sunday when my Mother had her pains and they drove to Marquette, Michigan for the birth of ther first child. My Mother delivered me, Gene Edward Arthur Plankey, ONE minute before midnight and Mom told me that I was so small, 5 lbs. one ounce and I had a big head and way skinny and she also said I was not a pretty sight. When my Mother said that I imagine I wasn't a pretty sight, eh? They brought me home on the Good Friday before Easter and my Grandfather called me "Buckshot" and Mom said I had long fingers and they said I would be a pianist but little did they know I would use those long fingers to write a book. I wish I had played the Piano and named George, my Father, for many years. I was the first Plankey grandchild born which of course makes me special and probably where I get my vain atttitude, LOL......

On April 10, 2007, a Tuesday, I am in Chicago with the woman I love, in remission from Leukemia for 15 months and offer any support or advice to other Cancer patients while I write my blog on myboomerplace. I am content, loaded with faith, confident in who I am and what I aspire to be. I follow Gods lead and have my sense of humor intact. It doesn't get any better then this...

Thank you all for your support and friendship. I cannot write the words to describe how happy I am. Love and smiles and prayers for all on April 10......

Easy on the Mind....
Posted On 04/09/2007 09:43:41
Gracie (alias Demolition Donna) took me downtown on Lakeshore Drive to see the sights (I didn't open my eyes til we paid 20 bucks for the parking) and to take a survey about why people take surveys and they paid her good money and I said, "How can I get in on that?" and she said "that probably won't happen because they know all they want about blimpie squirrels and corn fed deer." How precocious is that? When they called her name which is Janet, I went down the elevator and decided to walk the streets in search of the real Chicago and maybe catch a sandwich that they wouldn't let me have for being an associate survey spouse and I found a ritzy place with a menu posted outside that said a center cut pork chop was $64 which led me to ask the doorman if that meant I get the whole pig. He oinked a couple times and I moved on to Subway where I bought a $48 6" sub that had 8 ct. gold edges. While there I wrote my bank to mortgage the Penthouse Cabin and send more money.....

I've never been to NY city and walking with 3 million other people on the sidewalks of Chicago reminded me of Mary Tyler Moore walking the streets of Minneapolis way back when. In a short time of people watching I saw a homeless man who was drinking Perrier water and wearing a tuxedo, a group of tibet monks asking directions to the mountains, businessmen dressed in GQ's finest and women who thought it was a rehearsel for project runway and everyone had a cell phone neatly attached to their ear, hands free of course. I was bustin with happiness in the city.....

The Sears tower doesn't look so tall but I did get dizzy looking up and fell over in a Uriah Heep and was picked up by a salvation army guy with smelling salts who said, "you must not be from here" and I said, "you betcha" and he said what does that mean? I saluted him and then he offered to pray for my salvation so far from my home. I smiled and walked on waiting for others to provide back up to cross the road. I figured that no taxi could take out 73 pedestrian pedestrians. I stopped in to a Harley-Davison store where I bought an $94 t-shirt for which I hope to get my money back from Kris and his penchant for buying every tee in the 50 states. I only have 768 more old school stores to visit.....

Chicago proper blows me away with it's cleanliness and it's vitality and I know I've been missing something really fine even though I have the finest lady in the city at my side when she is not taking surveys. She said she is giving up the lonliness surveys which has been doubling her income which I belive will fill up our car with gas. Did I tell you that we had to pay for air for the leaky back tire and I wonder if they charge by the weight or tire pressure ratio?

I got back to the skyscraper survey place where I looked at the others in the elevator that took 32 minutes to get us to the 1,167th floor (wondering what it would be like if the elevator got stuck between floors) where I had a nose bleed and dared not look out any window the elevator didn't have. I've only been that high when drinking Tequila in Tijauana but that's another story for asnother day. I sat back reading the NY times, my favorite newspaper, and found a really good pen on the table next to me from a law office that will probably sue me when they find I have their pen that perked up when I herd an ambulance go by. Yaw, right......

We decided to do our sight seeing when the temp was of above O American as opposed to Annies Angel's Canadian and we came back homer (I feel like one) to eat day old pasty that was the only thing free in Chicago. I've only now realized what I have been missing three miles from nowhere that doesn't do much to stimulate me other then watching 2 squirrels mating matey...

I've decided that Misty is right, as usual, that Chicago is a great city and I am officially adopting it as my new maudlin kind of town. There is so much to do and see I fear I don't want to leave and when Gracie asked me if I missed the Penthouse Cabin I said, "what Penthouse Cabin?" and we both laughed like we do all the time together and no one has a clue to what we are talking about and I call this love for sure...

Keep smiling my friends, the best of life is yet to come and I can't wait as long as I am with my sweety. Happy Monday!!!!!! Easy does the city and the city is Easy on the mind....

Eyebrow Love...
Posted On 04/05/2007 05:24:00
It's real cold in Chicago this morning and we had to take her car to Fast Eddie's repair shop and I raised an eyebrow over her choice of mechanics. I guess woman drivers choose mechanics like they drive. Oops, as I duck a dinner plate in advance of Janet reading this. This is why I only use paper plates. It's akin to going to the emergency room and the attending Dr. is named Shoddy Workman...

We thought that we would have to walk the six blocks home and I had purposely left my longjohns home for obvious reasons and I dislike being cold. Then she suggested we take Pippen, her wonder dog, along for a walk and that sounded cool to me. When she brought out a jean jacket for Pippen to wear that would match his red scarf my other eyebrow did an odd dance. I have my pride but when she suggested we get me a matching jacket and red scarf I cringed at the possibility a picture may be taken and ruin my reputation for sure. I can see it posted in the Republic Post Office as a wanted man not to mention the fashion police who wrote the warrant. Always one to keep the peace and smile I said, 'sure' to the walk but not the wardrobe even though it would be a step up for me.....

Turns out Fast Eddie got us a ride home and now my pride is intact. Did I tell you that city people are a bit different? Not that there is anything wrong with that. Fast Eddie lived up to his word and the car was fixed and I avoided the stares of people looking out the window and wondering who is the guy with the matching dog. Arf Arf....

Were buying tickets for a Tiger-White sox game on the 25th and I am very excited about seeing my boys play. I told her I wasn't buying a ticket for Pippen and she said, 'sure' and I sighed. Please don't tell anyone I said this, eh?...

We are having a wonderful time and our list of things to do grows daily and I bask in glory of my honey do list I am eager to do. All we need is for the weather to cooperate and I think I brought the U.P. weather and not my longjohns with me but I am falling in love with Chicago along with Janet who makes my heart flutter. I still haven't gotten her/him (haven't looked close) talking Parakeet to say, 'hi, Easy' but he does do a dandy imitation of my laugh, har har...

We should be picking up our new car tommorrow and sell the older car real fast, Eddie. I can't wait to wax it and keep it clean even though I can't drive and that shouldn't raise any eyebrows I don't have left. I can't wait for the day when we drive north and I bring my beautiful lady to show her off to all my friends who have nicknames which means everyone single one. I can't wait to show her all the stuff I have been blogging about since last August and I can't hide my smile that covers my face but not my eyebrows. Her matching non stop smile melts me like an iceberg in Vegas as we think we have the best of both worlds as I think the world of her...

I promise as soon as my puppy love crush wears off I'll write about something other then her as soon as I think of something else but her. If you are in love, keep it going. It is truly a majestic spring romance and someone should tell Mother Nature who is slow giving us the weather we want. It's no problem, I can wait along with her for that. Were finding ways to keep warm...

Have a great Thursday!!! What a feeling it is to not be alone and when I forget to say it Janet does...

Smiles, hugs and prayers for all of our friends who have said such nice comments to us. Good things happen to good people and we are a walking, talking billboard of that....

The Writing Gene...
Posted On 04/04/2007 01:06:19
Hello from the outpost command post in Chicago where the streets are cement not dirt and the squirrels are scrawny and none can be classified as Blimpie. Janet has set up my office in a spare bedroom and I have a window that looks out to the house next door that I can almost touch. To most it would be viewed as just a brick wall which is all I can see but to me it is heaven being here with her....

We have running water, it's hot if you like and showers, bathrooms and all of the good things that make a home. Some don't appreciate the normal enemities but I surely do. We are having a wonderful time laughing and sharing our life stories and I've come to the conclusion that there is no other place I would rather be....

God has brought us together and we both say it is right on time as she cooks me breakfast every morning and I think of ways I can help her without breaking something or myself. She is most appreciative and we both are a bit humbled and it is hard to accept help because we are both accustomed to doing things on our own. The solitary life we once lived is long gone like a TTiger home run...

I say once because were not alone anymore as we make plans for our new life together. Today we bought a slightly used Silver Nissan Pathfinder because her car sounds like it is about to die. It will come in handy for drives north to the Penthouse Cabin where Burner has lost his job as chauffer replaced by a beautful lady. Sorry Burner....

I'm writing this in the evening which is one of the few blogs not done before noon. It's taking me awhile to find my writing gene but it hasn't been hard for Janet to find her Gene and for me tyo find her....

Best wishes to all and a good night and I hope to get back into the groove tommorrow morning. Don't stop smiling and keep the faith my friends. Happiness is just around the corner between the parked cars and no parking signs. It doesn't really matter where I am as long as we are together and happy. Isn't that the way it is supposed to be??

One Big Rabbit..
Posted On 04/01/2007 03:22:42
forgot to tell you. I had a four foot tall rabbit in my yard that has only three feet who walks on his back leg balancing better then any three ring circus. He's partial to onions and I can smell him coming and it makes me cry but will be preseason the stew for sure.

I thought it odd he was wearing sunglasses but I rogered that in my light headed cold remedy fog. I had no lettuce to give him but threw out some iceberg seeds and I did take them out of the packet. He didn't stay long and grabbed my favorite walking stick and bojangled out the driveway wearing my best boot taboot.

time to tear down the big thingy. Seeya...

April's fool....

It was really bunny!!!!

Pouring Rain and Travel Plans...
Posted On 04/01/2007 12:38:13
It's pouring rain this Sunday morning as I fill the feeder with graham crackers, saltines, pizza pringles and blame it on the soggy ritz crackers. My critters like diversity in their diet and I imagine they will survive without me as I wait for Billy to take me to Chicago again. Mark is coming by about 2 and I'll take my stuff to the mailbox to be sure Billy doesn't get stuck on my personal Baja mud rally road that will be off limits to all who don't own a hummer one two or three. It's all yours blue eyed girl...

I'm taking the big thingy (hard drive) along this time and my sweet Gracie is setting up an area for me in the spare room which I will now call my outpost command post. She has guaranteed me a window and all I need now is a radio for NPR news in the morning. I have a feeling she may have one of those too. I've also offered to help doing the laundry but after she saw the bleach stain on my best/worst jogging pants she tactfully declined my generous offer. I'll have to find another practical way to spoil and pamper her which I'm learning from Papa pampering Junie.....

The only thing better then spring is a spring romance. The only thing better then a spring romance is to have it happen on my birthday too. Oh yea, don't forget to tell Mistyy happy birthday on the 7th of April. She has good taste in birthday months and she is a great friend too. It will also be extra special to be with Janet for Easter. I know I will be thanking God for bringing Janet and I together and it's no surprise to me. I think I can speak for Janet and say we are very happy and eager to start our life together no matter where it takes us. Now, if Annie can find her perfect man we'll all be happy. Hope hope. She's a nice lady, an angel and a good friend of ours.....

I'd like to fit all my friends into a thought and a blog but I have too much to do.I'm sitting on my suitcase so the packing is done like when Wolf traveler is off on another adventure and Betty Boop is sitting on her luggage waiting to head wherever the Mets are playing in the world series come October. She's always ready for a Mets win but still hesitates to cheer for my beloved Detroit Tigers. She is smart, she will learn there is no such thing as a jinx. It was the lack of starting pitching, eh, Mrs. P??...

Are you ready Gracie? I sure am. I won't get stuck in the mud, I won't let some rain ruin my parade. Leave the light on, the coffee on, have a dvd ready and we'll relax on the couch and get to know each other and plan the rest of our life together. Your the one person who can make me leave my heaven on earth at the Penthouse Cabin on Island Lake three miles from nowhere and smile too. Yes!! You are that special to me.....

Happy Sunday to all. Enjoy the day and I'll see you next from Chicago, my kind of town....

Smiles and prayers......Easy for me to say....
