SPECIES EXTINCTION
The chief culprit behind species extinction today is habitat loss. Humans are altering the air, water, and land faster than species can adapt, according to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, which also notes: "When people remove or alter forests, rivers, wetlands, prairies, beaches, and other ecosystems, there is no place left for plants, fish, and wildlife." The clearing of land for urban growth has pushed species out of their natural habitats, as have other human-induced activities such as pollution and climate change. Scientists have predicted that over a million species in regions both warm and cold could become extinct by the middle of this century as climate change wreaks havoc on their habitats. Already, the Arctic's polar bears are in decline because melting ice has made it more difficult to reach food sources such as seals. In Costa Rica, the golden toad and harlequin frog have vanished completely due to global warming.

ANY GOOD APRIL FOOLS GAGS TO SHARE?
Got any good April Fool's Day gags to share with me? My husband tried the old peanut jar with thing that pops in your face gag! I wasn't fooled for a minute..lol! Trying to think of a great one for him. Come on let's hear them chicks and dudes!

APRIL FOOL'S DAY PRANKS
Put a piece of bubblewrap under the toilet seat so when your victim sits, they are surprised by a loud POP! Find an old bottle of nail polish that you don't want anymore. Unscrew the cap and set it sideways on a piece of waxed paper, letting the contents flow out into a puddle. When it dries completely, peel it off of the paper. Now you can put it anywhere and trick someone into thinking there is spilled nail polish. Works best on something your victim cherishes or on one of their important documents! Tape magnets to the bottom of an empty coffee cup, and attach it to the top of your car. Laugh at all the people who frantically try to get your attention as you drive by.
Has your victim been working on an important document on their computer? Carefully hide the document in a safe place, then create a fake document with the same name. Fill the document with gobbledy-gook or a funny story. At the bottom put "April Fool's!" Sneak onto your victim's computer and do a Google search for something really embarrassing (hemorrhoids, butt pimples, etc.). Leave the results window open for all to see!
