                           YOU'RE NOT CONFUCIOUS

I have a mind of own,  I have a right like to use it,

Don't insult my intelligence, unless you're Confucious.

I don't live here to comply with the rules.. you set,

I was lead to believe I'm your partner,  not your pet.

Treat me like the beautiful person you claim me to be,

If this is impossible then unbind my heart,  I'll go free.

Yes I'm speaking my mind.. standing up to you tall,

Give me some credit  my love, or give nothing at all.

Now that I've said everything that I wanted you to hear,

Come hold me tight and whisper "I'm sorry" in my ear.

                       NASCAR RACE

Sweating faces, motors rev, the flag is down,

Fancy cars start to fly on the speedway ground .

The race is on folks, I'm at the edge of my seat,

It's Nascar time, the drivers don't think of defeat.

Round and around the winding track they go,

Oh I can't look, a tire is getting ready to blow.

Three cars crash and everybody seems alright,

I'll have no fingernails at the end of the night.

Finally on the last and final lap of the race,

The winner has a big shit eating grin on his face.

Written for my friend Jimmy who lives for Nascar..lol!

               ALONE WITH MYSELF

Everybody surrounds me it seems,

yet I'm still alone with me,

Sometimes I get too tired to try,

so I will sit here and cry,

My son is having another baby,

am I happy.. well maybe,

The phone rings it's just bad news,

yes these are the blues,

Something pick me up before I drown,

smile..no I think I'll frown,

Darkest gloom is engulfing my mind,

I got myself in this bind,

I miss my kids so bad I could scream,

wish this was only a dream.

No one can help, I'm just so alone with myself.
