for just a moment you're shown the light.

The other side -- is to be sensed,

not with words but a caress.

Midnight skies produce a glow,

old regimes are overthrown.

With the substance of what is next,

breaking curses that kept you vexed.

Inspiring the need for the night,

when you're able to see the light.

Though you never know where it will strike,

clouds rumble and expectations spike.

                           A LITTLE FUN FOR RUBY

Ruby decided to have a night out,

she never knew

what was lurking about,

Dancing girls and

birds flying high,

a lazy dog looks

on with a sigh..

Policeman watching

to make an arrest,

all Ruby wanted was

a little food and

some rest..

Ruby Tuesday's is one crazy place,

but since Ruby is already 

here. and hungry

as can be..

she orders a juicy steak,

I sit alone scared and shy,
