AS BEAUTY FADES

The fragile fabric has worn away
it's lived through many agonizing days
too often this fatal mistake is made
the details and beauty start to fade

There is only so much it could take
before the twisted threads break
once it faces the inevitable end
it becomes difficult to comprehend

How time could change such beauty
into nothing more than a memory
so harshly sweet it passes one by
as pain turns numb with every cry

from all I am
all I could be
that has no virtue

Release me,
from this cynical view
that holds me captive
imprisoned in my own mind

Touch me,
beneath my stone kissed skin
there is softness there

Show me,

Cherry blossoms,

at seasons end,
refusing my touch,

they seem to end
carried by wind,

they begin anew
sailing to the stars.

The night glows pink

Beauty now in sight

nature shows it's might,

with a smile..

As I dance to the fire
my heart goes wild
sweat drips down my cheeks
I can not speak

I can not breathe
I can not see
my mind is of the flames
dancing in their waves

I'm barely hanging on
the smoke is not gone
the heat of desire
is inside of my fire

My life is near ending
on the fire it is depending
as my mind fades away
my life will always stay

here with my fire
for my hearts desire
my body and life will stay
and never ever wander away..

I awaken to see
a beautiful angel standing over me
I stare in his brown eyes
I'm entranced with the sky

In the sky he brings
me of all things
flying up to the throne
where the light is shown

                                 SOULMATES

Carried upon a breeze
his soft voice came to me.
Leave the love behind now
that was not meant to be.

His soothing words caressed
with the lightest of touch.
Dampening flames of fear,
which had burned so much.

Arms held me so tightly
and aching tears ran free.
I welcomed his embrace,
then was able to see.

All the demons revealed,
their masks no longer cloaked
The darkness within them,
the deception that choked

Beside me he remained
and my trust again grew,
I felt revitalized,
my heart beating anew.

His soft voice a whisper
carried upon a breeze,
'I love you' my darling,
the soul-mate of my dreams.

                       CRIMSON WINGS

An angel in the mystic air,
floating through the winds of despair,
the hunter springs from the ground,
slicing the feathers without a sound,
lacing the white with crimson splatter.

Something inside of her eyes had died,
passion, love, and the need for flight,
Taking away what's most desired,
Colliding with our mother earth,
Ending life with a birth.

                        MORPHINE AND ICE CREAM

Nobody knows the real me..

the mirror so foggy

strangely surreal..

It  began with morphine

to dull the pain

a lot of ice cream

to keep me sane..

Locked up in my room..

with my bottle of pills

eating ice cream

numbing my ills...

Fighting the insanity..

the demons inside

keeping me drugged

wanting to hide...

Aching for sensual love

it never showed up

never became real

my empty proverbial cup..

Morphine and ice cream

my daily dope

alone and empty

what happened to hope?

Can't someone save my empty life

clinging to delusions of love

all of these things in the mirror,

reflect and define

that I'm

the real fallen dove...

reflects colors of life.
In cold severe winters,
