trying to calm my restless heart.
What if I'm not good enough?
What if I fail?
What if I'm unhappy?
What if my dreams never set sail?
Confusion and fear
deadly weapons, indeed;
they bind us like chains,
they sink us at sea.
Need to do something,
need to break out.
Need to be something.
need to beat my doubts.
But what can I do?
this world's just a game.
Feeling discouraged,
I'm the only one to blame.
Just another sleepless night,
the fears finally winding down,
three AM, the clock chimes

the moon and stars were my keep

My soul was bitter and questioned why
