As much as I love it here at the boomer...cant help wondering where all my 'fun' friends are....the ones that love to laugh as much as me...? I'm all for the political views, the sharing of ones heritage...but "I NEED TO LAUGH"!!! SO....WHATS THE PROBLEM?
We never had a lack of laughter on the spaz or any other site for that matter...why this one? Dont be scared for goodness sake...fun is allowed and for me is a must..If you eat, sleep, & breath politics, that is ok with me...but those that do, need some laughter too!! (its called balance) For goodness sakes lets start having a lil fun here at the boomer and not be a stick in the mud ALL the time.
Its the friendly people that brought me here...but its the laughter, good times, making good memories and friends that will keep me here...I'm not the only one feeling this way, although I may be the only one to voice it..
Yes, I have an animal abuse page and I run it very seriously!! There is alot of bad stuff to report and bad people that need to be locked up! Yes...I support many of the polictial views expressed here...and Yes...I am damn proud of my heritage!!! (All of it not just the Indian side of me...) but we all need a break from the 'seriousness' of what ever it is we're working on and supporting...without it we will become the robots the goverment wish's we would conform into being....not to mention be very boring and drab people...So I'm calling out all my friends that love to laugh as much as me...lets have some 'fun & laughs' while we're here...otherwise, whats the point eh?
Most of you have figured out I'm sure...I'm pro Militarty...wrote this for some friends that wear Army, Navy, Airforce & Marine uniforms proudly...
And I am proud of them..while we are in our cozy homes enjoying the holidays...for the tropps...it's not that easy!!!
Comrades
Bullets flew past his head, And life slowed down, His friends and brothers were dead,
As he fell to ground, It no longer seemed real, Then the silence returned, Not knowing what to feel, Watching their jeep burn, The smell made him sick,
Burning flesh went up in smoke, He felt another’s hand on his neck, He heard himself choke,
This soldier at his side, He didn’t even know, They held on to each other, Neither letting go,
It took time before another, Band of brothers arrived, They all cried together, For there comrades that died,
~~~~~~~~~~ They will remember… forever
Will we?
God bless the men and women who have served, do serve and will serve this great country.
Proud and free, Hunters and warriors, Land as far as you can see, Trespassers came, Destroying the land, Looking now upon the misery, Game was no more, Buffalo are gone, Pride held, but no longer free, They danced, They sang, And they died, in eighteen ninety, The Ghost Dance, Feet moved to drums, Food was withheld, Drums banged, hands raised, Prayers lifted on high, The journey was ending, Soldiers equal deceit, Bringing about defeat, Starvation their gift, Disease their inheritance, Chief Big Foot, of the Sioux nation, Flag of truce in his hand, Cannons and rifles aimed, The beat of the drum, Constant, Feet stomping the beat, Signal to fire, The acrid smell, Gun smoke kills the air, Thousands of bullets, Still find them today, The Ghost Dance, White men feared, Drums are still beating, The earth runs red, The drums will be beating, When she gives up her dead, Wounded knee, Can you hear the cries, Children starving and begging, Hot lead their last meal, The drums beat now, Ancestors dance, They await the day, When He the Great Spirit, His own drums He’ll play.
The madness of it all, the absurdities…& guilt ridden times All those lonely nights without love to call her own It took the Angel of truth…not afraid to tread on her heart To prove to her once again, that she doesn’t have to be alone
Her heart has become cold…self defense I suppose… Shutting down & turning off, closing any door that may open Refusing to risk it all anymore, for this thing called love All the tears and time invested, the rejection…the coping
Walking light with only her insecurities to keep her company The ’truth’ can seem cruel and fear only holds us down For love to be hers just one more time…fear replaced by longing A beautiful release for her it could be…to once more hear the sounds
Of wanting in a mans voice…as strong arms reach out in the night The tender caressing only a man in love is capable of giving So why does her own spirit refuse…to accept what was always meant to be To put an end to self inflicted tortures…and to once again, begin ‘living’….
Far away from your arms From the lips that once caressed me tenderly Tired now of this lonely existence cant find peace within my soul… On my knees…I weep the tears… stained by your love am I I kept reaching out… grasping only the darkness Have I missed it? That second chance at love? As the arms of the coldness… are all that is left now Encircling my emotions… cutting me off from the world Sadness alone, on its on… I would welcome… The silence is deafening…and endless The one I believed would catch me when I began to fall Are no where to be found, Tighter….the darkness grips my spirit The weight of its agony unbearable The sound of its cry…ringing in my ears Release from it all… would be freedom Oh…how much longer can I bear this misery… Before the fingers of death approach I pray for it take me… To choke what is left of the memories… and breath…
Long hard day in the summers heat, Ridden hard… tired and beat, He wants food, to sit & enjoy the breeze, A good strong drink, a woman to please, Still daylight left, it cant be wasted, One pull from the bottle, with another he chased it, Then hay he puts out, checks on the dogs, Sees a buck in the distance, standing tall,
‘Hello Cowboy†she said low and sweet, ‘Come inside… get off your feet’, Keeping his smile tucked inside, He said, ‘Honey, I gotta take a ride’,
‘But supper is ready, and your bath run too… How bout if I make a deal with you?’ Now he laughed out loud, at what she’d do, To wear a man out, then some dancing too,
Seeing the look in her eyes, he hushed his laugh, Set his hat on the fence, around her waist he grabbed, A kiss long & deep, and his resistance all gone, To do any less for her…. to him seemed wrong,
‘Lets go take that bath…and ‘discuss’ this a lil bit more,’ They kissed thru the kitchen, and thru the bedroom door… The hat is still there, waiting for morning to roll around, Then out on the range, is where this cowboy can be found.
