John McCain
Posted On 08/30/2018 08:25:01

I am probably not being too gracious to the dead but I cannot help it.  John McCaine to me was no hero. Perhaps a self made hero.  While a prisoner of war they offered to set him free.  Well now he refused. I am so sick of listening to all who have nothing to say but good of this man and exalting him on the pedistall worthy only of that to God Himself

Departure
Posted On 03/04/2018 08:01:29

This is a piece of poetry I wrote while sitting at my Rolnd digital piano

Tell me honestly what you think or not think. I have a song in my head a 3/4 beat sort of country I need to write a chorus yet which I wil be doing toay. Here it goes

Could I forget you

nO

You have been woven

too deeply into my soul

For all I know

not in a million

Or this moment

I hear your laughter

in the wind that wonderful soft voice...The tears sre frozen

It has been too long.

In the dusk of our years

HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN

Have you become blind to your thoughts

Has love sought

and found

a flickering fire

somewhere...

Are you there

I am here.

Chorus...yet to come

Dear Rose,
You stand flirtatiously glancing my way
Such beauty for these eyes to behold!
My clumsy fingers do not dare so much
As touch your delicate petals,
Nor pluck..... you from your root.

Words chosen to use a synonym(one or more expressions which have the same or near meaning)

Delicate....dainty
Flirtatious...coquettish
Pluck...clutch
Beauty...brilliance

Dear rose,
My petite coquettish flower,
Your brilliance marvels the eyes.
Dainty and velvet are your petals
That entice these clumsy fingers
To clutch you from the ground.

Reach high
Amid the cares
Of foil and strife,
Value what you want
In life,never to let go
But know, what it is that
Brought you here:
The battles you had to fight.

Listen now to what
Your heart is speaking.
Reach high and far
Though days are dark,
And one must bear
The burden of that
Irksome load.

Behind the gates
Of your blinded soul
Sorily grievous day by day.
Cast not a shadow
To dim your way,
To stain your heart,
Or feel the pain.

Reach high and soar
The realms of light
So when spirits streak
Your path...
The author's hand
Will ink life's battle
Fought courageous
To the end.

Oh that I should love again
With every being of my soul
With every rising of the sun
When days begun.

And at twilight with painted sky
A last goodbye  with oceans
Beat against the shore...
Forever more.

Shall I yet yearn and yearn...
A soul sublime with measured time
You and today,again and again
The past buried deep;two souls asleep.

Take root as you push
Up against the soil
My little flower
daffodil and
Dandelion's wild.

Your fragrance fill the air
As hummingbirds flutter
Their wings and gently sip
Sweet nectar from your cup.

Un-ravel your mysticism and
Spread elegance against
The azure sky...
Let fall your petals softly
Upon the ground.

Bring me to your garden
Let me stay to play
And weep upon your beauty
Until the melancholy
Darkness of the night
Turns to day.

Oh my beautiful,fertile flowers!
Full of life,vigor and passion.
I inhale your fragrance
You are my soul under sod.
I marvel as I watch you dance
In the sunlight of God.

Hillary and Benghazi
Posted On 10/22/2015 04:34:20

I will not get a lot of attention on this blog as many here are not politically motivated. Now if you are from America....that is pathetic. This is the year of election that will either break America or get her on her way to recovery.

With people like Hillary Clinton who is a socialist/communist this will be difficult. Imagine a socialist running for the presidency. Socialism has not worked in other countries.

I am from the era that one works for what they want and need, they do not TAKE it out of the hands of someone else. I do not want a communist nation. Do you Americans want one?

The questions are asked from some of you would it be nice to go back to the simple times?  We never will. Faith has gone out the back door. Morals are mimicking the Roman Empire of long ago.Technology is lending its progression on the innocence of our children.

America has always been admired by many nations. Hillary Clinton is not a repesentative of America....at least in my eyes.

She did not have a son killed in Benghazi....so she does not give a fig like she says

"What difference does it make"  well...lets tell that to the fathers, mothers daughters, sons of the four men who were brutally killed in Benghazi.

It is a tradegy one greater then  "Watergate" which a president was put under the coals for and, did not do what Hillaty has done.

We can all tune in and listen to her lies, watch her arrogance, I can't stand the woman.

The hummingbird

“In the shadows of the day when all is quiet…

Listen to the fluttering of delicate wings…

Would naught your heart be beckoning…

To the frail beauty of God’s brilliance…

Flower to flower nectaring…

Under the Azure Sky.”

Darkest Hours
Posted On 10/18/2015 04:40:19

In those darkest hours…

If we knew their secret woes

And if their life’s stories…

were written on their brow.

Would we reach out with our hearts to help

Or shun them in disgust…

Would we see the good inside

And not condemn them so unjust.

For in God’s Arms He holds them close

And loves them tenderly…

So take your brother by his hand

And not judge him hastily.

Fallacies
Posted On 10/18/2015 04:37:12

There are people who think all cats are sneaky and disloyal. This is a logical fallacy known as the faulty generalizing. Most of us generalize. We get behind a slow car on the freeway discover the driver is a woman and scream obscenities about women drivers. Or we  listen to three boring hours of football on Monday nights and conclude because the husband likes football that all men are totally crazy about sports.

The faulty generalization occurs when we fail to take into account all important facts before we reach a conclusion. In the political arena this is all too common. The race card is used and the word racists is thrown around like a tether ball in everyones court who does not like President Obama’s policies.

During the presidential campaign all the candidates were accusing each other comparing things or situations that were not enough alike to make a reasonable comparison.

During most discussions about Aids, somebody mentions that it is God’s revenge for homosexuals. This may be true, but until God types it across the sky and signs His signature we have to assume that Aids is a terrible affliction, which strikes homosexuals and drug users more frequently than the rest of the populaiton. To call it God’s punishment for sexual deviancy ignores the fact that many heterosexuals now have the aids virus. Morever, considering aids a religious curse encourages Americans to waste precious time arguing morality and ignoring the medical problem. “Defining Aids as a problem for gays is the fallacy known as a false issue.” Tomlinson and Balboni.

A few years ago USA Today reported the results of a scientific study which seemed to show that beer drinkers were healthier than the rest of the people in Canada. This conclusion was based on answers to a survey sent to 17,000 Canadians by their government. The study was financed by the Alcohol beverage Medical Research Foundation at John Hopkins University. After the results were published, the Americans and Canadian Brewers Associations were pleased with the results, and beer drinkers pursued their favorite hobby secure in the knowledge that booze was good for them and also made the feel good. But a health professor at Dalhouse University in Halifax, Nova Scotia put the study in proper perspecive when he noted that “Either drinking beer is healthier or beer attracts healthier drinkers” This is what is kinown as the Cause and effect fallacy.

Little kids used to end arguments by appealing to revered authorithy such as “My Dad said…..”  this is another fallacy, one known as the appeal to authority. Because we have little time for research, most of us rely on the wisdom of so called experts. The problem with experts is that most of their advice can be challenged by other experts. This is what I call the “Sheeple Fallacy”
