The Path Of Life

 

As we navigate through our daily lives, it could easily be compared to walking through a thick forest, with only the knowledge that you have an ultimate goal to reach the other side of that forest. 

 

The goal is understood and you know in your mind that you must work mentally and physically in order to move forward toward that goal.  But between the starting point and the final destination, there are many choices, decisions, and obstacles that may create doubt and confusion with your path toward that ultimate goal. 

 

The path is there for you to see and you have an understanding of that path, yet you find that the environment before you is not always going to work in your favor; in fact, it will cloud your judgment and allow you to stray from that path without continued focus as to where you have been and where you are going.  There are forks in the path that force you to choose a direction, and that choice is not always clear because of the confusion that will be placed before you.  The path to the left may suggest immediate gratification and less resistance, yet the path to the right may be the only direction that will take you where you wish to go to reach your final destination.  Choices in life must be made as we move down that path of life.  You may meet others while you move down that path who will intentionally encourage you stray from your chosen direction by deceiving you into thinking that moving away from your path will make it easier for you.  You may be met with temptation that will allow you to look for an easier route or to even reach the point where you determine that it is too difficult to continue on your path.  After all, it is a choice; you do have the option to stop moving toward that goal.  Then, there is the darkness, which will prevent you from using your sight to guide you with both your path and decisions along the way.  That is when knowing your destination guides you and you are dependent upon that initial goal to lead the way for you.

 

The truth is that God makes it clear with His Words as to what is expected of us, what is allowed, what is not allowed, and the ultimate goal is achievable with His guidance.  As we move along that path of life in search of what is promised to all who want it, the direction, goals, abilities, and finding our way down that path is assessable to all who use what has been put in place to ensure finding our way to that ultimate goal.  The trials and the problems we may confront along that path are what produces the wisdom to not only continue, but to learn from what is before us as we continue down that path.  We must decide as to whether we simply exist in this life or if we are going to follow that path that leads us to where we know that we need to be.  All, one way or another, make that choice.

The State Of The Union Address, 2013…The Next Illusion…

 

We are about to hear the next State of the Union Address from President Obama, and once again, you will hear words that were not written by President Obama that will be read with the assistance of a teleprompter.  You or I could give the exact same speech by simply standing in the same location as President Obama as he speaks those words while simply reading from the teleprompter.

 

There are many of us common Americans who are in tune with what comes from Washington as opposed to what is actually presented.  What Washington says is very seldom to coincide with the actions that are to follow, and the State of the Union Address which will come from President Obama will be no different.  The State of the Union Address will tell the American people what President Obama and Washington believe they should hear, and truth will not be an inclusive factor with the words that will flow from President Obama’s mouth. 

 

Sadly, with our current state of the union, our government has reached the point that the American people are viewed and treated as mere sheep, and this State of the Union Address will be an attempt to herd us closer together.  Herds are more easily controlled when they are compacted into a smaller location, and in this case that smaller location will be the illusion of a common goal for a common good.  It is indeed an illusion.

 

With the State of the Union Address spoken by President Obama, you will hear what is presented as genuine concern for the current overall condition of our nation, but what will actually be presented is a government that will take steps to make your lives easier based upon what they considered to be an acceptable direction and even behavior that is allowed to the American people by that government’s chosen standards and guidelines.

 

Without going into excessive detail as to the very makeup of the words that will come from President Obama with the coming State of the Union Address, I will mention the alternative agenda that is almost always present with anything that spews like projectile vomiting from those in Washington that many still view as honorable.  Honor and deception cannot both be present at the same time.  Honor and the intentional speaking of untrue words cannot be present at the same time.  With that understanding, it should be obvious to all that honor does not live in Washington. 

 

With the State of the Union Address you will hear mention of the economy, the healthcare plan, the unemployment in America, and any other issues that can be used to create an emotional scenario with a goal of an illusion that true concern is a part of the message.  There will be an alternate direction presented  that will justify that continued government agenda that has nothing to do with the good of the people or the nation, as a whole.  You will hear example after example of what the government will do for the American people to make their lives easier to navigate, to ease the worries of Americans, and to let the American people know that the government is there for any situation that may arise, and they will be there to hold our collective hands as we move through our daily lives.

 

The true message that will be missed by many is the very essence of all that matters in understanding the State of the Union Address.  That message will be based upon what we do not hear from President Obama, not what we are allowed to hear.  We will not hear a massive suggestion for the American citizens to take personal responsibility for their lives, and for those who are able to work to find work to provide for themselves and their families.  We will not hear a message that will explain the continued growth of the poverty level of America for the last twenty years, much less a plan to address that problem within our society.  And the single part of the State of the Union Address that is most needed will simply not come from President Obama.  You will not hear that we need to get back to the true foundation of not only this nation, but to human existence, as it relates to depending upon God for our guidance in all of what life has to offer, instead of depending upon the government for that guidance. 

 

A unity between the Republicans and the Democrats will not get this nation back to its original foundation.  A unity between the blacks and the whites will not get this nation back to its original foundation.  A unity between our nation and any other nation will not get this nation back to its original foundation.  The only unity that truly matters is that unity between the individuals of this great nation and God, Himself.  You will not hear that message from President Obama with the State of the Union Address, and in reality, because of that, nothing he says will actually matter, nor will it impact the true foundation of this nation in a positive manner.

 

The answers to all questions of life, past, present, and future can be found in a single Book.  That Book is the Bible.  You will certainly not hear our president make such a powerful statement that speaks of what is truly missing in the entire makeup of our nation as a collective entity.  Unconditional loyalty to our government is equivalent to making an arsonist the fire-chief.  It is a recipe for guaranteed failure. 

 

So, my suggestion is to watch the State of the Union Address and listen very carefully for what is not said by President Obama, not what he does say.  May God bless us all.

In our daily lives we need to listen very carefully.  God does speak to us, in a way only He can.  Each time we see a vision of His created beauty; He is reminding us that He is all around us.  Each time we see a baby smile, He is showing us His greatest creation.  Each time we feel the pain of another; He is showing us how to love.  As we move through each moment of our lives, we need to listen carefully.  God does indeed speak to us as we move.  Even in the midst of total silence.

What Happens To A Nation That Removes God From Its Plan?

 

I will keep this write simple, mainly because the understanding of what is happening in America is simple.  There are those, including our government who are removing God from their plans for this nation.  The declination of America should not be a mystery to anyone, and that is especially true with those who walk daily with God in their lives.

 

First of all, lets look at our government.  The very foundation for all that represents good is set aside, and it is being done intentionally.  They know that with God, their agenda is simply not possible.  Washington represents dishonesty, corruption, and legislation that defies not only the United States Constitution, but also the very words of God.  Without God, there is no chance of true success, and Washington knows this and simply does not care.  It is just that simple.

 

The Poverty Level In America

 

The poverty level in America has grown every single year for the last twenty years, and it is not an economical situation, but is a planned agenda that is deliberately in place by our government that ensures dependency on that government.  Those who receive government benefits are only allowed to make lateral moves, not moves that will allow them to climb from that poverty level.  If you get a part-time job, the added income will decrease your government benefits, so you will remain locked into that poverty level with no true exit.  Those within that level who are dependent upon the government will vote to keep those in office that promise to continue to give those within that poverty level only what they need to survive.  I have predicted that within the next few years that the poverty level will be the majority of our American society.

 

Gangs In America

 

It is estimated that there are over 1,000,000 active gang members scattered across this nation that are part of over 30,000 actual gangs.  These gang members represent a flooding of drugs and violence of massive proportion that reaches from coast to coast.  These gang members earn their status within that gang membership based on their activity, so they are urged to commit as many robberies and murders as they can in order to climb to the next rank.  These gang members do not purchase their guns from gun shows or Academy Sports Authority; they depend upon the underground weapons industry that our government never seems to mention.  These are the people who will not be impacted by the additional gun laws that our government wishes to push on those who are law-abiding citizens.  If our guns are taken, only these gang members and the criminal element of our society will have guns.  And yes, our government knows this.

 

Alcohol In America

 

Annually, more than 100,000 deaths in the U.S. alone are caused by excessive alcohol consumption. Nearly half of all fatal car crashes are alcohol-related. The average person age 14 and older drinks 2.18 gallons of alcohol a year. (Obviously some drink less or none at all, and others drink much more).  The more education a person has, the more likely they are to drink. The wealthier a person is, the more likely they are to drink.  Every day an average of 11,318 teens try alcohol for the first time.  Alcoholism costs the U.S. between 40 and 60 billion dollars per year.  The government knows the downside of the consumption of alcohol in America, and they simply do not care.  Anyone who sells alcohol and anyone who purchases alcohol pay taxes for that ability to do so.  The government could stop the alcohol from being legal almost overnight, but they have no desire to do so because of a combination of the taxation and the evil side of what alcohol represents. 

 

Illegal Drugs In America

 

In 2010, an estimated 22.6 million Americans aged 12 or older were current (past month) illicit drug users, meaning they had used an illicit drug during the month prior to the survey interview. This estimate represents 8.9 percent of the population aged 12 or older. Illicit drugs include marijuana/hashish, cocaine (including crack), heroin, hallucinogens, inhalants, or prescription-type psychotherapeutics used non-medically.  The illegal drug industry in America is probably the most lucrative industry we have today, and there is no true effort by our government to stop that industry.  In fact, they are trying to make marijuana the new alcohol.  It seems that they have plans to eventually make marijuana legal and many states are ready and waiting for the new trade.  The crimes and murders related to drugs are unbelievable and yet, the industry continues to grow at an alarming rate every single year.

 

Prisons In America

 

Our prison system is completely out of control, and it adds to the agenda of controlling the American population.  Once in prison, one will find that there are gangs just as in life outside of prison.  Once in prison, one will find that there is access to drugs just as in life outside of prison.  In many cases, you must join a gang or your life may very well come to an abrupt end for not being associated with a gang.  Many prisons in America are at double the intended capacity and it indicates that they are in an environment that will ensure problems within that society that will increase the chances of those who would eventually being released from ever seeing freedom again.  Prisons are a breeding ground for evil and those in charge seem to have created an environment that would ensure that outcome.

 

Abortions In America

 

There is no need to really elaborate on this issue.  It is the ultimate evil for anyone to believe that the life of an innocent child should be taken in the name of convenience.  For the most part, abortion is used as a form of birth control (in the true sense of that title) for those who place no value on the little angels that should be allowed the right to see life.  There have been over 50,000,000 babies that have been killed by abortions.  President Obama claims to be a Christian.  A Christian would never accept abortion as a normal, acceptable part of our society.  It is murder, plain and simple. 

 

Homosexuality And Gay Marriage In America

 

God, Himself allows for free will, so as a Christian I cannot force anyone to live their lives against their choices, nor is it my right to do so.  Having said that, as a Christian, I do not have to approve of that which goes against God’s Laws because of legislation put forth by our government, nor will I. 

 

Conclusion


With all that I have mentioned in the above opinions, I do not wonder if our nation is going to survive.  I wonder how quickly it is going to fall.  A nation without God cannot survive, and our nation, (collectively) is not being guided by the Will of God.

A Test In Life.  Are You Passing Or Failing?   We Cannot Continue To Wait For Tomorrow. 

 

We have moved far beyond the simple definition of ugliness, as it applies to the world we have created, especially within the borders of America.  It seems that we are reaching for goals and trying to accomplish those goals, and the focus is so great on the future, that we are dormant in our current daily lives.  Planning ahead is imperative, and is a natural part of life, but when it prevents today from containing what we look into the future to find, it seems that part of life, for which we search may never become a reality.  We all want a better life for future generations, but it has become obvious that we are ignoring the present as we make those preparations, and the children of today are being denied the choices that pertain to right now.  While we plan for what is to come, concentrating on what may or may not be, we are missing what today has to offer, and our children of today are being put on hold as we look beyond the focus of today, while we look for a better tomorrow.  We simply need to take care of today’s problems, and when tomorrow arrives, we will take care of tomorrow.  If I were to die tonight, how sad would it be to go, knowing that instead of doing what needed to be done today, I had only made plans to do it tomorrow.  If we only plan for the future, and place all of our focus on what we will or will not do tomorrow, today will be a void, and that void will probably be extended onto tomorrow, and the cycle will go on and on and on.  Take care of today.  Tomorrow will bring with it a new blueprint and we should be better off if we have taken care of yesterday.  We are missing our lives as we look at what has happened in the past, and making plans for the future.  Today is simply being dismissed in the process. 

 

Today Verses Tomorrow

 

There are children who are hungry, right here in America.  We constantly speak of what we are going to do with future legislation with plans and programs that will address the problem of the hungry.  We speak of what we will do tomorrow, but what did you do today to address the problem?  Is there a single mouth of a child that received food while you planned what you will do tomorrow?  These children cannot wait for tomorrow to be hungry; they are hungry right now.

 

There are children who are wandering the streets, as I type these words, and they do so because they have no place to call home.  We often express our concerns of taking care of those who have no roof over their heads, and we have a government that claims to be compassionate, and will take steps to care for those who wonder through life without anywhere to go.  We speak of what we will do tomorrow, but what did you do today to address the problem?  Are any of those wandering children going to sleep in a bed, with a roof over their heads tonight, because of what you plan to do tomorrow?  These children cannot wait for tomorrow to sleep.  They need an answer today.

 

There are those who have serious mental issues that allow every awakened moment to be filled with a depression of the world around them.  We speak of taking care of the sick, and we make plans on what we will do in the future to address the problem.  But you cannot tell those who are living in a mental state that deprives them from even a moment of peace to wait until tomorrow, and then we will address the pain that those people are experiencing.  We say that we are concerned, and we feel the pain of those who are in a mental hell, but what did you do today?  As with most issues, our government is always telling us of future plans, but those plans always remain as a future agenda, and those who are in pain are forced to wait because nothing will be done today.

 

We have an educational system in America that is failing both the individual children who attend the schools and the collective society that grows based on the knowledge obtained in our early years that prepares us to exist as adults.  Without providing our children with the tools of life, we are sending them into the world unprepared for what the world will offer them, and what the world will place in front of them to obstruct their paths.  We, as parents, teachers, administrators, and especially the government structure that dictates the educational process speak of how much improvement is needed, but what did we do today to resolve the problems with educating our children?  We cannot wait so long that even more children are pushed through the system, and are admitted into an adult life without a proper education, before we actually take steps to do what needs to be done.  A promise of education for future generations does nothing for those who are being denied that proper education today.  

 

In this nation, we have many citizens who are elderly, which we should understand represents much more than merely an accumulation of years in their lives.  The elderly are the ones who represent the actions that created much of what allowed us to be here today.  They represent mothers, fathers, teachers of wisdom, a push to move us in the right direction, and they are our past, which allows us to have today, as well as the future.  Many of the elderly have found themselves just surviving from day to day, simply doing the best they can with what we can offer them as necessities and support.  These are the people who gave us today, and we need to do whatever is needed to make their every single day a representation of our appreciation for what they were, what they did, and what we are today because of them.  We speak of taking care of the elderly, and express our concerns on what needs to be done, but what did you do today that helped to comfort this precious part of our history?  The elderly of our society do not need to hear what we will do tomorrow, or that we will appreciate them tomorrow.  They have given us enough yesterdays that they should not be forced to wait for anything.


Conclusion


And to all citizens of this great nation that we call the United States of America, we do not need to wait until our government determines it is the right time to do what is right, as it concerns us collectively, not merely as isolated groups within that society.  We have a government that is always telling us what they plan to do, what goals they have for our nation, and what steps will be taken to make this nation look at what is needed in the future to take care of the problems of today.  But what did our government do today that will resolve any of these problems?  We cannot simply wait for tomorrow to do what is needed today.  We, as a nation, and as a people are looking so far into the future, that we are missing today, and the problems of today are being shifted into the future, and because of that mentality, our problems have not and will not be resolved.  Our government deserves our loyalty only if they earn that loyalty.  Promises for tomorrow while ignoring the problems of today is not representative of an earned loyalty.  We applaud the plans for tomorrow by our government, but we fail to realize that they did nothing today that will move us closer to resolving those problems.  We cannot continue to wait for tomorrow to see what will or will not happen.  We are missing the present as we plan for tomorrow.  And yesterday continues to be yet, another failure.

Cling to Your Foundation…Your Personal Relationship with God..


Personal thoughts on outside influences with our faith…

The first paragraph of this write is how I perceive life, as it relates to my personal thoughts and beliefs.  The paragraphs to follow touch on the outside influences, and my understanding that they cannot be allowed to control, or alter my voyage through life.
 


As it applies to me, personally…
 


In order to be fully grounded, you must understand and utilize the very foundation that makes you who you are, as a person, as a citizen, and especially as you follow God’s plan with your daily life.  For me, I have a simple mentality as it relates to life and to my walk with God.  I have a personal relationship with God, and that is “MY” true foundation of all else that exists within “MY” world.  That personal relationship is all that I am truly able to control, and with the existence of “free will” that is all that I am meant to control, as I am unable to venture beyond the will of those whom may cross within my path.  I am able to share my faith, to help others with all aspects of their lives, and to project to others as to my understanding of what is or is not good.  But, I cannot force my thoughts or demand certain actions or beliefs upon others, nor is it my right or even my place to do so.  My foundation; my personal relationship with God, is my guide in all of life, and that foundation also suggests and even allows me to share that foundation with others, as I move through my life.  I understand that I have limitations, not as they apply to abilities given by God, Himself, but limitations as to how far I am allowed to influence others with my representation of who I am.  My influence in the lives of others cannot exceed the exercise of free will of the individuals that are either directly, or indirectly injected into my life.  With that in mind, I am guided by God, Himself, and I move within my life as I am allowed, clinging tightly to my foundation, regardless of what may exist beyond that foundation around me. 
 


The influence of society…
 


Society, in general is a confusing entity, mainly because it is composed of all there is, as it relates to people.  It is not within our mental ability to fully understand society; so why would we allow something we could never understand to have a true influence on our lives?  Society contains all faiths, and even not believing in anything at all.  Society contains all races and the man-made ugliness that comes with the hate and labels that come with the existence of the different races.  Society contains endless beliefs and details of what is or is not to be considered as acceptable within society, itself.  Society contains both love and hate, both good and evil, both faith and lack of faith, and the list is endless.  Society is a confused entity, as a whole, and it is nothing more than a word that represents our existence, as a whole.  We cannot understand it, and we certainly should not let this clouded collective entity place distance between our true foundation and us.  Cling to your foundation.  Exist within our society, but do not let society alter, weaken, or confuse your true foundation.
 


The influence of government…
 


There is so much fear within our nation, and even in the world, as it relates to decisions and actions that are thrown at us by our government.  The word, “CONTROL” as it applies to our government, and those within offices of authority should be understood for what it actually represents.  The government seems to have tremendous power, and they are moving quickly as they clearly are trying to control our very lives.  Those of us with faith need to have an understanding, as it applies to government control.  Regardless of how far our government moves into our lives, they cannot touch the foundation that is our personal relationship with God.  They simply do not have any power as it relates to our faith.  That should be our strength as we move daily through our lives, and that should be our focus as we repel the concept of the government having true control.  God, Himself will deal with those who try to shake or destroy that foundation, so it is important for us to simply cling to our foundation and not allow the government to have an impact on that part of our lives. 
 


Conclusion…
 


We should simply understand that our personal relationship with God is indeed our foundation for life, and to know that nothing in the world is strong enough to take that from us.  Cling to your foundation, and let that be your solid ground as you move within life as we dance around these outside, weak, unjustified influences.  Do not let anything take away from the beauty and blessings of our faith.

This Is The True Reason We Support The 2nd Amendment...

Whether it concerns banning guns, determining what guns or how many you can have, or limiting your ability with those rights, you need to consider the following words.


“Believe me, dear Sir: there is not in the British empire a man who more cordially loves a union with Great Britain than I do. But, by the God that made me, I will cease to exist before I yield to a connection on such terms as the British Parliament propose; and in this, I think I speak the sentiments of America”.

—Thomas Jefferson, November 29, 1775


The Declaration of Independence was a statement adopted by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, which announced that the thirteen American colonies, then at war with Great Britain, regarded themselves as independent states, and no longer a part of the British Empire. Instead they now formed a new nation--the United States of America.


Resolved, that these United Colonies are, and of right ought to be, free and independent States, that they are absolved from all allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain is, and ought to be, totally dissolved


The Second Amendment is the only amendment to the Constitution, which states a purpose.


As passed by the Congress:


A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.


Early American settlers viewed the right to arms and/or the right to bear arms and/or state militias as important for one or more of these purposes (in no particular order):


Enabling the people to organize a militia system.


Participating in law enforcement;


Deterring tyrannical government;


Repelling invasion;


Facilitating a natural right of self-defense;


The Second Amendment is not related to hunting.  The Second Amendment is not related solely for your personal protection on your own property.  Just as those with the original 13 American Colonies determined that they must distance themselves from Great Britain, from that controlling government, we may very well one day find ourselves as the now 50 States seeing our need to distance ourselves from our own tyrannical government, and we are growing closer to that possibility with every new piece of legislation that is passed. Those who have read the Patriot Act, The National Defense Authority Act, and the Healthcare bill know precisely what type of control for which I speak.


Without guns, (that we deem as appropriate, not by that same questionable government) the citizens of this great nation would be unable to protect themselves from that tyrannical government.  History tells us of governments that have gone beyond their original roles and have transformed citizens into merely helpless victims at the mercy of governments that have spun out of control and reached beyond a goal of what is good for the nation and for the people who call it home.  Without those guns in the hands of the everyday citizens, the citizens would find themselves helpless in a situation whereas a tyrannical government has full intentions of taking full control of those citizens.  Because of this, no common citizen should be willing to allow their government to remove, or even alter their ability to protect themselves from the possibility of a tyrannical government.  And any government that would have a goal of disarming its citizens is directly telling those citizens that they are not trusted with that amount of power, which should indicate to us all that our government fears this possibility.


That same government forgot long ago that they are merely our voices, not a power that stands over us with a might that removes our voices, as they strengthen themselves.  Common sense tells us that any government that is willing to remove our ability to protect ourselves is a government that seeks complete control.  We are not obligated to full loyalty to our government; they are where they are to represent us.  The government is obligated to full loyalty to the good of all people and to this nation.  It is sad that some will never understand that simple thought.

“I Still Hold You”  (A Poem)

 

At times when I think of you
My heart slows to a crawl
An immense tingling flows through me
Clinging to my blood as it travels

 

The Fight Begins

 

Emotions engulf me with your endearing vision
Coming to me as a light in the darkness
I can see your face vividly everywhere I look
Although with a lack of orderly comprehension

 

Memory agents try to organize the vision before me
Comfort and confusion seem to be immersed in a battle
My soul is fighting to hold on to what is forever gone
Thrown quickly into a state of total unexplainable disarray

 

I Must Focus

 

Reaching deeply within my heart for that which is real
My weapon that is strongly opposed by my mind’s illusions
In a yearning manner my mind is trying to erase you
As a reactionary impulse my heart becomes defensive

 

You are no longer with me; I clearly understand that
Yet, I must fight to maintain all that made you a part of me
My cerebral entity is pushing you slowly away from existence
All that is within me anticipates that it will not succeed

 

Clarity Verses Confusion

 

Thoughts loudly bang against each other in a feverish emotional battle
Strongly trying to remember what time is wishing to permanently erase
Holding onto what is no longer here, but planted deeply within me
Knowing it is all I have remaining and unwilling to let it disappear

 

Just Slow Down

 

I take a deep breath and look deeply within my heart
Thinking only of you when you were willingly by my side
Your hand in mine, the softness of your simple touch
Calmness now caresses me as I mentally hold onto you

 

I find myself in a comfortable existence locked mentally upon you
For maybe only a moment but I hold on so tightly to that moment
Time becomes transparent and impossible to accurately measure
With my eyes tightly closed your vision is again clearly before me

 

I feel a tear as it knowingly tracks its way from my eye to my lips
Maybe that is your way of moving from my mind as if to kiss me
The very thought transforms into an array of emotional confirmation
Justification for the ongoing fight that remains such a part of me

 

Resolve

 

My mind is at peace again; this day’s battle has finally ended
Again all is clear as it pertains to a persistent attempt to maintain
I hold onto you still and fight to remember all you were to me
You are no longer with me but you will never be gone


I hold onto you with my heart and my mind

The Scratch Your Ass Tax

 

It was Friday morning, and I was sitting with a friend drinking coffee and just talking, when I got this sudden feeling.  I had a slight itch on my right butt-cheek and started to scratch it, and my friend saw what I was about to do and stopped me.

 

“Do you know that our government has just passed a quite expensive tax for scratching our asses?” (She said with a very serious look on her face.)

 

“Are you kidding me?”  (I responded, as I thought to myself that this had to be a joke)

 

To make a long story short, my friend gave me a phone number to our local city government to get additional information on the new tax.  Having still not scratched my ass yet, I called the number. 

 

 

After a long conversation of pushing numbers and making one-word statements to an automated system, I finally had an actual human on the other end of my phone connection, who told me he was with a branch of Homeland Security.  I was immediately advised not to scratch my ass pre-maturely, as there could be a wide variety of related consequences if the proper protocol was not followed. I talked to the man for almost an hour, taking notes, writing down additional phone numbers, requesting forms, and was redirected to other representatives of the government three times, with each conversation lasting anywhere from thirty minutes to four hours.  In total, I was on the phone for fifteen hours, and now I not only had not scratched my ass, but also was almost afraid to do so prior to following up on my suggested protocol.

 

In the weeks to come, appointments were set up with various doctors to determine if my ass was actually itching, what was causing the discomfort, if it would be covered by my insurance plan, and even if I would be exempt from the applied taxation for scratching my ass.  With each step that I took, the situation seemed to get more involved and complicated. 

 

Various forms were sent to my house via the mail system and all were filled out completely and returned to their proper destinations.  I also found additional expenses to become a reality, as I had to hire both a certified accountant and legal representation to ensure that the forms were in line for the massive paperwork that had been sent to me from Homeland Security.  My insurance company had made it clear that they would not be sure if my visits to the various physicians would be covered, but insisted that should I scratch my ass prior to a medical evaluation that they would cancel my insurance policy. 

 

After visiting three doctors, the following was now determined. 

 

The dermatologist came to the conclusion that the redness on my butt cheek appeared to indicate that it may quite logically be itching, but insisted upon not scratching it due to the possibility of an infection, not to mention this would possibly lead to complications as it relates to the taxation amount and that I may have to start the whole process over again. 

 

The infectious disease specialist determined with blood samples that my condition was not virus related, but warned me not to scratch my ass, as it may increase the itching, and could possibly spread to the other cheek.  He also brought it to my attention that should the problem spread to both butt cheeks, that the taxation could be as much as four times the original number, so I was advised to avoid any scratching at that point.

 

The psychologist determined that my itch was not a mental condition and that the itch was indeed physical and not a psychological related manifestation.

 

Three more weeks passed, and the results from my visits with the physicians had been forwarded to Homeland Security, and my medical expenses had reached just over $100,000, and my insurance company informed me that it would not be covered by my current policy, and that pre-existing ass-itching was not mentioned in the health care plan.  I had to sell some land and another house that I owned in order to pay the massive expenses that incurred because of my condition and the related required protocol. 

 

I called my congressman and told him of my situation and asked what would happen if I simply scratched my ass to relieve the itching. 

 

He told me that the taxation had been removed from the original bill and apparently Homeland Security had not gotten the memo yet, so they were unaware of the changes that were made to the bill. 

 

I should have just told my friend to “shut up” and immediately scratched my ass.

 

“Doesn’t this sound like something our wonderful government would do?”
