PRESIDENT OBAMA WILL NOT SERVE A SECOND TERM

President Obama Will Not Serve A Second Term

I honestly believe that it is a stretch to even consider the possibility of President Obama serving a second term, and in truth, he certainly has not earned it.  To begin with, his promise of unity has been transformed into a constant battle to create and maintain a division unlike this nation has seen except just before the Civil War.  He speaks of half of this nation as if they are not part of the plan for the future of America, and has decided as president, he has the right to choose which Americans he is obligated to represent.  That is not a choice for him to make, and to not represent America, as a whole is a deficiency on both his character and his duties as president.

The sad part of his existence as president is the fact that he has deceived those on the left just as he has those on the right, but most liberals (not all of them) either do not see this, or they are unwilling to speak unkindly against a president who represents their chosen political party.  They not all of them) do not seem to see that his shortfalls go against their goals as well as ours.  In reality, he has not truly represented the good of either party, or the nation as a whole in the manner in which he promised with his quest to get into the Oval Office.

His first goal was to close the Guantanamo Bay facility in Cuba almost immediately upon taking his Oath of office.  I said then that it simply would not happen.  President Bush put into play the Patriot Act, which in my opinion was the most controlling plan in the history of our nation.  With the Patriot Act, Bush, Obama, or any future president can simply label any America citizen as a military combatant, and that citizen could be indefinitely retained into custody without actually being charged with a crime.  The Patriot Act allows this; it is not my opinion but an actual fact.  This should be a very large concern to those on the left, just as it is with us on the right, because it will apply to you, as well.

We should all be very concerned about the willingness of President Obama to overlook the southern border of our nation as the war zone it has become.  Like it or not, we have 20,000,000 (based on government numbers, not mine) people who have crossed our borders by ignoring the very laws we have put into place to prevent that from happening.  Arizona took steps to make themselves safe, and to do what the government refuses to do, and were vilified and even called racists for trying to prevent those from entering the nation by violating federal laws.   It had nothing to do with racism.  The president was opposed to the law because it angered the Hispanics (based on the fraudulent statements of racism) and his concern was the Hispanic vote in the very election of which I am speaking.  Obama made a recent statement in which he sent the message that the fence on our southern border was almost complete.  When you have only built a fence that covers 300 miles on a border that is roughly 2000 miles long, that does not represent a project that is almost complete.  You should all feel insulted that he would knowingly be this dishonest about an issue that is so relevant to the security of our nation.

The American economy is in much worse condition than Washington is presenting it.  The housing market is getting worse instead of better, and based on those associated with the real estate world, there are several things that must transpire before we will see improvement.  Consumer confidence is still very low, and without the comfort of the American citizens to spend, especially with large purchases such as homes and automobiles, the recession will remain as it is.  Consumer spending is the backbone of a functioning economy, and when it is slow, so is the recovery we so desperately seek.  Unemployment is still a major issue, and it will be for the next several years.  All of the weaknesses of the economy dictate the lack of progress and growth with the private sector, and as a result people lose jobs and hiring people is very rare.  Washington plays with the numbers that determine the unemployment rate, omit factors that give an accurate evaluation, and the end result is that they present the unemployment rate as not being quite as bad as it actually is.  It may make a few feel better as far as possible economic recovery, but it is inaccurate and deceptive.

And then, there are those who applaud President Obama with his promise of not raising the taxes on anyone who makes less than $250,000 as an annual salary.  If people would pay attention, they would see this is also not true, as it only applies to income tax.  The government has taken a different route with taxation, which for the last year, I have referred to as “CREATIVE SNEAKINESS.”  It began with the massive taxation on cigarettes.  If you smoke, and you make less than $250K, you taxes were increased.  The have indicated that they wish to do the same with fast food and sodas.  So if it happens, and you eat fast food or drink sodas, and you make less than $250K, your taxes will be increased.  They are also talking about doing it with a tax on the Internet and with the newest addition which will tax you based on how many miles you drive.  You cannot ignore these things, whether you are conservative or liberal.  They are facts and you are being misled into believing that your best interest is the heart of these decisions.  And once again, it applies to those on the left, just as it does to those of us on the right.

The good of the nation, or even the survival of the nation will not be determined by which political party is in charge.  It will be determined by the path and implication of that path by the represented party who may be in charge.  When you are forced to make changes in your personal lives to control your individual budgets, it is not always easy to make those adjustments, but you know it has to be done.  The same applies to the budget, or the overall decision-making process with our government.  We, the people, as a whole must determine just how badly we want to get our nation back to being a secure, stable, economically sound position, and be willing to take the step necessary to allow us to reach that goal.  Until we reach that point, it simply will not happen.

In the midst of a recession, Obama has already converted to his campaign mode, so his focus will be on his quest for a second term in office for the remainder of his first term.  Although he will remain in front of any camera he can find, it will be an effort to get re-elected and you will hear more promises that will go unanswered just as the ones that placed him into the White House for the first term.  His future promises will be applauded, as many will forget that he did not keep the ones that he made earlier.

And on a final note, Obama’s downfall will be the presidential debates where he will be without his teleprompter trying to explain what happened and why we are where we are today.

The Loss Of Rights And Freedoms...Clearly Explained...
Posted On 05/10/2011 08:15:36

The Loss of Rights and Freedoms…Clearly Explained…

There is a great concern with many within our borders as it applies to the loss of our rights and freedoms in America.  Many times those who suggest the loss of these rights and freedoms are dismissed as nothing more than paranoid and conforming to conspiracy theories.  But in reality, we are gradually losing our individual control of what should be related to the individual, and not to that of America, as a whole.

This loss I speak of is nothing that has just begun, and it is certainly not related only to President Obama and his administration.  This has been brewing for decades, and what is happening is unjustifiable under any circumstances.  The justification for the loss of rights and freedoms by those who make the decisions is that we are at a point with our nation that changes are necessary to ensure the national security.  That is not adequate justification, and even those who are carelessly re-writing our Constitution know it to be true.  You do not give up rights and freedoms in the name of national security.  You will end up with neither.

You need to look no further than the Patriot Act to see the most extreme cases of loss of our rights and freedoms.  The Patriot Act was introduced as a necessary part of survival of our nation as it applies to our security, and it was explained to be a path to monitor and to find those who pose a threat to the security of our nation.  This is when the title, “military combatant” comes into play.  Under the Patriot Act, and the direction of President Bush, once someone is labeled as a military combatant, the individual can be held for an indefinite period of time without even being charged with a crime.  New definitions of what constitutes torture were approved and were used on these military combatants, who are held at the Guantanamo Bay facility in Cuba.

My main point to stress with the loss of rights and freedoms and the rules of the Patriot Act is that it is not limited to military combatants that are associated with terrorism, as we have seen thus far.  The president, whether it was Bush, Obama, or a future president needs only to label someone as a military combatant and they will find themselves in the same position as those currently held at Guantanamo Bay.  A new window was opened with the Patriot Act, which can apply to everyday citizens just as it can to those who have been connected to terrorism.  Whether you believe that this would ever be used on you, as a common citizen or not, you must understand that with the Patriot Act, all that must happen is to be labeled as a military combatant and your rights and freedoms as you know it will vanish.  The law is already in place, and if the government decides to target an individual for reasons that are not related to the original goals of the Patriot Act, they simply need to label you as a military combatant.

There are those within our government that wish to make the media more balanced in how they represent the nation as a whole.  You have to be completely blind to not see this as anything other than to monitor and control what we are allowed to hear through the media.  It represents a direct control of our freedom of speech as it applies to the media.  You do not dictate to the media that one side of the political spectrum must hold back as the other side intensifies their voices in order to present a fair overview of the larger picture.  This actually represents a distorted view in that the media must limit their voices based on government control.  We do not need to allow the government to determine what the media is allowed to say, or what we, the people are allowed to hear.

Also associated with the Patriot Act are the wiretaps of phone conversations of those who may pose a threat to our national security.  Phone calls are allowed to be monitored, and it is happening as I type this.  It is not something that may happen in the near future.  I have nothing to hide, but at the same time, my right to a private conversation should be based on the original words of the Constitution, not on a select few in Washington.  Again, this creates the illusion that the sole purpose of this act is to monitor those who are questionable in their activities as it relates to national security, but at the same time, it allows an open door to do the same to everyday citizens based on the Patriot Act, itself.  The intrusion into our personal rights and freedoms is incorporated into Patriot Act, so my point is that it is not limited to those who may pose a threat to our national security.

Then, you must also consider the intrusion and monitoring of the Internet.  With your Internet Address, you can be located.  With the GPS on your cell phone, you can be located.  President Obama has appointed an Internet Czar, which is only held accountable by the president, himself.  Those of you who spend quite a large amount of time on the Internet should be very concerned with this situation.  There are plans to tax the Internet usage and to even monitor the navigation of the individuals on the Internet.  If you do not see this as an intrusion into your privacy, you are not really looking at what is happening.

Now, I will break this down into a scenario that may allow you to look at what I am trying to stress to anyone who may be reading this.  If you post a blog that is related to taking action to form a group that will work completely against the goals of the government to intrude into our private lives, and you reach the point whereas you have a large following, the following can happen based on laws that are in affect at this time.  All the president (any president in the future) must do is to label you as a military combatant.  At this point, you could be taken into custody, and held indefinitely without being charged with a specific crime.  You Internet activity would be searched and even your private messages and emails would not be off-limits.   Your house could be searched without a warrant and anything they wish to confiscate would be taken from you.  While you endure this situation, you are separated from your family, and you will certainly lose your job in the process.  Your life will be turned upside down, and after a while you may be released with no explanation as to what has actually happened.  This is not a hypothetical situation.  I can happen under the current laws as they are written.

Note: When you hear many of us speak of our concern for loss of rights and freedoms, consider what you have just read.  It is real, and it applies to every American citizen.  You may argue the fact that the government would not do this to an individual, but you cannot stray from the fact that they have taken steps that have made all I speak of to be a reality.  It is already in place, and should they decide to act upon an individual, whether it is justified or not, there is nothing you can now do about it.
