ARROW OF SUNLIGHT My heart has no limitations My soul is an open book My eyes will tell my story Be bold and take a look My memory grows by living My hopes fly free in the sky My laughter is wild as an eagle Soaring through clouds on high My truths are written in marble My choices are chosen with care My knowledge comes from experience Of it all, I am willing to share My dreams I take from the spirits My future enfolds with each day My love is an arrow of sunlight Waiting to show you the way peter Kelly copyright 2012
A shadow asked when was the hour of destiny As honey hanging from a bright moon Formed a toxic juice in the corners of darkness And the chariots of Apollo rode through pools of blood ………………………………………………….. The sun caressed the silver sand Where footprints waited patiently To be kissed by the moon And lovers dreamt of kisses yet to come ………………………………………………… Guilty hearts in hiding Came out from tunnels of shame When a tsunami of bruised stars Sucked the salts of love From the teats of the moon …………………………………………………… Their eyes met as she emerged Glistening from the warm sea He knew then his love was unconditional And the Greek Goddess Aphrodite smiled ……………………………………………….. A BLOSSOM FELL Upon your lips a blossom fell to bring my heart to you hold it close so you can smell the perfumes you once knew. Feel the breeze upon your face my kisses it will bring touch your cheek in sweet embrace allow your heart to sing. Hear the whisper of the wind it tells how two souls meet that is how you soon will find that place where two hearts beat. There is no I but only we true oneness as on high where spirits cry to set you free come join me - we shall fly. Peter Kelly copyright 2009

It is said in many seafaring circles that the spirits of those lost at sea are passed on to live within the whitest of seagulls, and so I give you : - THE SNOW WHITE SEAGULL Tell me snow white seagull Whose spirit do you hold A one eyed, bearded pirate Or a captain brave and bold Maybe, someone in uniform Another victim of the wars A lonely daring yachtsman Who never made the shores Tell me snow white seagull Do they tell their tale of woe Of ships upon the hidden rocks Or struck by an iceburg flow Maybe a lovely titled lady On a cruise to far of lands Another ship that disappeared With all passengers and hands Tell me snow white seagull Whose spirit do you hold Could they be from the Titanic Or a Viking ship of old A fisherman who floundered Beneath some giant wave Or shipwrecked by the sirens Dragged to their watery grave Tell me snow white seagull Of this spirit that you hold Is he from a Spanish galleon That was taking home the gold Maybe some deep sea diver Seeking treasure down below Or the pilot of an aircraft Shot down many years ago I’m hoping snow white seagull That you treat your spirits well And carry them across the waves To where the mermaids dwell So I shall sing the sailors song For all those that still sail free And for all the ones in peril On the stormy windswept sea peter Kelly copyright 2013
Sorry for the small text, I'll do better next time.
# COLLECTION 2 of short poems Who will sit on the sapphire throne When the moon elopes with the sun Leaving the mermaid sleeping On the dark rocks of jealousy …………………………………………. Touched by the moon She picks up a blue rose And gives it to a leafless tree As violins in the dark Lie waiting for Spring ……………………………. Forgotten love on a single rough paper Will be dragged from the poets basket To be reborn in ink ………………………….. Laughter flickered between them Like Summer lightening As the fireflies danced And the moon swam On a dry river bed …………………………… The stars sang in silence As the moon left a wreath On the tall stone cross For another lost warrior …………………………… A seagulls scream hangs in the air As the first ray of sunlight starts flirting With the dew drops on a wet rose ………………………………. The moon said I will come again For when the curtains are only part drawn Indelible tattoos flutter on my breast As I suck the stars for a taste of love ……………………………. There was something in her eyes that said what I was listening to could not be heard, but I was listening to the stars.. …………………………… peter Kelly 2013 copyright
