There are many shrines to Authors in ..UK but the most Visited ,,is Shakespeares Birthplace His houses in stratford Warwickshire..middle England is visited by 818000 people every year..! ..even in the old days people came to ..pay homage even the novelist Sir Walter Scott..came and carved his name on the windowsill! There are houses of Agather Christie,,Virginia Woolf..beatrix Potter...RUdyard Kipling.. but Shakespeare gets more visitors... ~~ hope the floor doesnt get worn out!!

..Dublin has the River Liffey running thru the centre One of its Bridges ,,is a pretty Iron bridge ..141 feet ong built in 1816 it replaced a little ferry run by ,Mr Wash ..he charged a TOLL.. half penny fare,on the ferry You can cross free of charge now..its painted white.. it has granite buttress each end ,,on the river bank.. on the O connel street end there are some cafes,,to enjooy the othe r end .. leads to the Temple Bar area,, with colourful bars,,with Folk singing.. *A greatly ornamented bridge..in the city of Dublin and useful to inhabitants* according to *Dublin evening post... It was called Wellington bridge for a while..after the battle of Waterloo but local people decided not to have old British colonial names for the bridges,,aand so it is called *The half Penny bridge since 1923 .. ..come on over,, for a Romantic.. summer evening stroll......:) ~~~~
