I see I haven't been in for a while, things in my life are changing and I am not sure I like it.hoping everyone is having a great summer, mine has been good and some sad. But life does happens so I will let God decide these things. I am working on my cookbook again, lets see how far I get this time. I will be leaving my little house on Buffalo Ridge and moving to town and into an apartment. At least I will be next to the Redwood river and hope there are a lot of birds there to see. Have a great week end everyone, I will be oing to Ableskeiver Days and play some bingo... :)

Good morning everyone, its a cold sunny day on Buffalo Ridge and I am glad I can not go out. Winter has turned into a longer one than I want. We are never happy with weather are we.... The nurse was here to check me over and said i am in good shape ( for the shape I 'm in). She removed all of the surgical strips off my neck, they were stubborn and did not want to come off. She said i will hardly have a scar there. So now to finish healing and doing more things without screwing up my recovery. I for one can not wait for spring to come, yes I know we have at least 6 weeks of winter and snow to get through but I am thinking it is time to start my herb seeds and figure out how to get squash to grow in pots they seem to die off and I think it is that not enough moisture is getting to the roots so I am going tocut PVC pipe to put down so when I water that is where the mioisture goes. I know I should post more often on here and hope for more interaction from others but to be honest I have not figured that part out as yet. I hope there is actually an easy way to connect with others on here.

I am five days after surgery on my carotid. I am being careful like a good girl but still am sore and bruised. I am hoping tomorrow is better today sure was not. Just thnk in a few weeks I will be as good as new. Hope everyone is having a good monday.....

No green tree this year, but i kind of like the white, it has a clean look. Daughter brought it and the girls decorated so I just get to enjoy.
I made it to town got groceries, getting out of my house and back in was a challenge. a lot of snow on the deck and ramp and pushing a walker up and down that was a challenge, but I did not fall and I got all my groceries for thanksgiving. Turkey and ham,two kinds of potatoes etc etc. And eggs so I can start making cookies again and maybe a rhubarb bread, doesn't that sound good? Well I am a bit sore ( a lot ) but I am in jammies and in my chair and that is where I am staying. My little deer from last winter is back she/he survived last winter and this year's hunting season, He/she found refuge in my garage, I have not seen him/her but I do see the tracks and my CNA saw him/her, for some reason I think its a she but until I know..... So my menu for thanksgiving is turkey, ham,mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, scalloped corn, cole slaw, a sweet salad, cranberries, pickles, veggies and dip and pumpkin pie and for the Friday dinner it will be leftovers a pasta dish and pasta salad,and some breads and goodies.
