Where red flowers grow, Their sweet fragrance a delight Where we walk beside the flowing water Hearing the soothing rippling sounds Where yellow flowers grow Their bright fragrance a delight Where we held stood and each other tight In the changing evening light Where the lavender flowers grow Their lasting fragrance a delight Where sad goodbyes are not forever Knowing all memories will remain tee 2014

9-11 On a day with bright clear skies horror struck, September 11 2001 2,996 souls left this earth, Remember them with love, of life cut short, New lives started on this day, their future to unfold, There will always be a hole in America's heart, Lets fill it with hope, and faith in what we stand for, With tears and smiles mix we will go on, this is America! ~tee~
The sun shinging through the trees with their heavy leave filled branches still in the new morning light. TheĀ owls softly hooting their last soundsĀ of the ending night, calling in the breaking of a new day. There is a sweetness that can not be explained when we are given a perfectĀ sunrise as we stop to enjoy the wonder of each new day. That moment in time between the owls sounds ending and the birds starting to sing their morning songs. The squirrels still sleeping, soon they will be busy doing what squirrels do skittering here and there up and down the trees. Soon the robins will beĀ looking through the grass for that elusive worm that forgot to go back into the earth, My world wakes up slowly and I sit here sipping coffee enjoying natures ballet of life. there is nothing quite like it it in all of the world. Everyone has a time like this, each in their own world, I hope you all take the time to look and listen.
Ryker, Eden and Isley came to visit this morning while mom and dad are out and about. Poor Isley is having a bad day. First she lost the mom doll from the doll house and was sure I or my workers had been in there playing. Then she ran out of things to put stickers on, I guess they have more stickers than places to put them, Moving on, she thought that it wasn't fair that her sister had the I pad that she wanted, that is not a good start of a day.Ā Wouldn't it be wonderful if all we had to worry about was, where is the doll figures from the doll house, stickers and who's turn it was to play with an I pad? The simple problems of childhood seem so far away today doesn't it when we haveĀ bills to pay, ills to worry about and our aging creaking bones. I smile as I sit here listening to theĀ two girls agesĀ four and eight discussing important things like what games to play and every once in a while Eden will say to her ten year old brother Ryker,Please turn your game down, its too loud( she a bit bossy). Where have monopoly, checkers and the sorry game gone, now its I pads, DS players etc. new age and a lot of thinking games lost forever and new ones with new ways to play them have taken their place. I am sure that my mother marveled at the strangeness of my children's eight track players, transistor radios, Walkmans when she came to visit also,Ā gone were the simple games of I spy, shooting marbles, and the telephone game when there were a lot of kidsĀ all together to play with. Life goes on, each generation changes but with bonding with each other , it stays the same. so Isley will learn patience ( I hope), Eden will continue to be bossy, and Ryker will not lose his hearing from too loud video games.
Good morning everyone, it is a fine Friday morning in March, the time betweenĀ the disappearing snow and before April rains to clean everything off and the start of spring. We can not get ahead of ourselves with the spring thing because this is after all march , and March likes to surprise us with huge amounts ofĀ the white stuff when we have plans to do things outside. The weather man is saying a big maybe watch out for next week, thatĀ might mean another St Paddy's Day blizzard and then again maybe it will go some where else. I woke up made coffee, made breakfast of eggs and toast, drank some of the coffee and here I sit, with my brain still in sleep mode. It takes me a while to get over day light savings time, for me it is interrupted sleep time for a week or so.Ā I made ox tail soup yesterday and it was super good, when I went to the refrigerator to get my eggs, I looked at the bowl of left over soup a couple of times and then thought," No Tee you can not have soup for breakfast"and its Friday and that means fish of some kind. I disobeyed doctors orders about walking and went out on the deck and walked the ramp, using a cane and then stood, (on one foot)Ā to just breathe in fresh air, I heard a squirrel chattering, scolding someone or something but could not find it in the bare trees. This morning that little bit of naughty has my body reminding me to start getting used to all of the pain of being mobile. I have to say it was worth it though, just the simple feeling of that bit of freedom from my little house that has started to feel like a prison. It is time to remind myself that this world is not all about me, about my aches and pains, my limitations. Its about so much more, I need to plan Easter, Will it be huge, will it be small, will it happen is a better question. it seems my family is in flux, Mary who does Easter is listing her house for sale so I know there will be no huge bunch of people messing it up, so that leaves me to decide what to do.Ā At leastĀ it s later in April so the weather will be nice. I need to get my fishing license so I can take grandson Ryker fishing, every boy needs to learn to fish and not by a parent that might take the fun out of it with scolding on how to do it right. There is no right orĀ wrong when fishing unless you hook yourself while casting or catch a tree limb or two, or as Jamie did, lay down the rod and reel and let a northern take it for a swim. I will take a portable grill and we will do hotdogs and pork and beans, That is a must when taking a kid fishing. and don't forget the mustard. I will bet I will not get by with just taking Ryker, Eden will insist on coming too, and she will be dressed in the latest little girl fashion, That's all I have for this morning, my brain is starting to wake up ,enjoy your day.
Here I am a mother grand mother and great grand mother. It seems wrong somehow that I am so old when I think of family, those long ago reunions, of aunts and uncles, seeing and playing with all of the cousins take me back to my childhood. I can hear the echoes of the laughter, the carefree happiness that we enjoyed. Strains of yesterday float through my mind as I am reminded that those days are gone, except in our minds. There is nothing like a bonding of generations of family, no matter where they are today. The memories of those passed a gentle goodness in all of them. This is what we pass on to our families, in hopes that they too get to share that special bond of cousins , aunts and uncles. We areĀ truly blessed.
Walking into the future, Some go sweetly Looking happily forward Some are not too sure And a few are worried All will find a surprise waiting.

Let me take you on a journey Come on along with me,
There will be forks in the road And many hills to climb,
Every once in a while we will see A glimpse of what is to be,
We are on our way one step at a time Though we are weary, onward we go,
It's hard to walk alone, I'm glad you came, When finally we get where we are going
At last we made it together to see the beauty That is there for us at our journey's end.
