I'm a retired nurse after 25 years of working with the mentally and physically handicapped males in a NJ institution. Now found love again with my ex husband and living with him in NC, after each of us going our separate ways. I have two grown sons who live in NJ and a kitty named Bella who is with my oldest son. I did bring my sweet Lab/Pit mix Pollo with me and he gets along great with my honey's black lab/pit LuLu. Unfortunately, he was sick for a while, and although I had him at the vet's several times, she suggested further evaluation. Found out he had cancer and had to put him to sleep on Aug. 14th 2018. Still miss him and look for him every day.
Things are very good between us; love the second time around is wonderful. We still have our ups an downs, but neither of us is going anywhere.
I like downloading recipes from the internet, trying them out, cooking of course!, being on the computer in general, reading, watching TV in the evening, going for rides to nowhere, playing games on my tablet before shutting off the lights at nite, and occasionally eating out and visiting home in Jersey to see family and friends.
Once there was a little village where lived a blind man. Although, he was very blind and couldn’t have been bothered by darkness at night. He did, however, always carry with him a lighted lamp when he went out at night.
One fine night, he encountered a young group of travelers returning from supper. The traveler immediately noticed he was blind but was surprised he had a lighted lamp in his hand. They began making remarks about him and mocking him. Finally, one of them asked, “Hey, Man! Why do you have a lantern if you’re blind?!”
“Yes,” the blind man admitted, “I am blind and have no vision. And this lamp may not be of any use to me. But, bright light being carried by me is for people like you who can see. At night the streets are dark, and you may not see the way. You may even not see the blind man coming and bump into me. That is why I am carrying this lantern.”
The young travelers apologized for their conduct.
Moral: Before judging others, we should consider things from their perspective. Always be polite and open-minded.
BE THE LIGHT FOR ANOTHER LOVE AND BLESSINGS .THE WORLD NEEDS IT NOW MORE THAN EVER!
