I have suffered from a chronic lung disease 'Pulmonary Sarcoidosis' for over 10 years, and was this year diagnosed as a diabetic with high blood pressure and levels of cholestrol. It's the side effects from medication for the above that are the most debilitating. I just take each day as it comes.
I've worked mainly in textile mills and on the building sites, but since I became ill, I have managed to acquire a diploma in Combined Studies and a BA Hons degree in Creative Writing.
I am quite comfortable around anyone who is well intentioned, unpretentious, open and honest, who respects not only others freedom but also their time. Having said that there are many people out there with experiences that I could learn from. So where does one start? I guess I'll just have to wait and see who comes along...
