the heater is set at 73* in the house, and the hubby is so cold, he's under his couch blanket AND has a fire in the fireplace going....I had to get a fan to blow on me and I'm weariing shorts so I can be comfortable...talk about "opposites" LOL!
Hi Beth. Welcome to November. Another step closer to Xmas. A wee bit scary to see how the weeks a speeding by.
Yes, so many of the weddings are held at an outdoor setting now and there are such beautiful places available for this. Two of my Grandchildren were married at outdoor venues and the third in a traditional Church. All very nice in their own way.
Oh that History mystery tour would have been fun. There’s one held locally here each year but it has nothing to do with Halloween as we don’t celebrate that here. Well not until recently as the Stores have grasped the idea as a money grabber encouraging the younger generation to get involved. Just a handful of locals were involved this year, sending out invitations via local facebook. It may catch on one day in the future. Sadly everything is changing.
We’re having a crazy day with temps close on 80f this morning then just before lunch storms rolled in dropping the temps to 60. According to the weather map steady rain is supposed to be falling but looking out there is just the odd spot or two. Other parts of the state may be getting it but we sure aren’t. Enjoy your new week Beth. ~Hugs Pat~
Hello Jackie, cold front finally got here and it's chilly! We'll have a cold Halloween and the kids won't be hot in their costumes. Have a good Thursday!
Wow, that's amazing Beth!! Hope the kiddos had fun even if they had to wear a jacket over their costumes hehe ߘ
Thank you Beth! I was so surprised when I saw my face on the 2nd page of the Featured Members list! LOL! I had to do a double take to make sure it was really my page!

November has a way of teaching gratitude. It invites us to gather close—to family, to friends, to the blessings we might overlook in busier times. The Thanksgiving table isn’t just about food (though I’ll never say no to another slice of pumpkin pie). It’s about taking inventory of the heart—remembering that joy doesn’t come from what we own, but from who we share life with. My favorite month -:) I love Fields of Gold song..we were gone most of the day. Making some progress in the room. David's finishing now pulling up the nail strips and padding. We are in the lookout for him a new work desk. Might shop around tomorrow as well. Buying a table saw soon, as we'll need this to install the laminate flooring. We did buy a bookcase, sofa table, and small table today (used) from neighbor down the street, but it's new to us.mill finally get to use my lamps Marie gave me last year on the sofa table soon. Hooing we can finish by end of this month..David's on vacation Thanksgiving week.
