Happy 1st day of May Beth! Can you believe it's May. It is starting off cloudy and chilly. Most of the day tomorrow will be rainy so I got done at dad's today so I can stay in this weekend! Looking forward to a quiet weekend.
You have been busy with your plants. I have planted marigolds since they do the best in the heat for most of the summer. They are coming along good so far!
A lazy Friday..I did make a hashbrown casserole this morning. Had all of the ingredients to throw it together. I used a recipe from Karen Jones Food & Family (YouTube channel) she resides in Alabama just south of Birmingham. She and her husband, Paul, remind me of a couple that use to live here. They've both crossed over to Heaven now. Marie turned 96 yesterday. We dropped by to visit her after David finished up with his cardio rehab. She has seen a lot of family and friends, as well as numerous phone calls. She's got good days and bad days. She started palliative Hospice care last August. Thanks for sharing those cute planters. I'm going to look for them next week.
Hi Beth! did you know that May is Military Appreciation month?
Designated by Congress in 1999, National Military Appreciation Month (NMAM) is celebrated annually in May to honor, remember, and recognize current and former members of the U.S. Armed Forces, including those who died in service.
Key Dates:
May 1: Loyalty Day
First Friday in May: Military Spouse Appreciation Day
