What plans do you have for the rest of this short week? Thursday is the day to start your weekend plans.
We could go for a ride on my motorcycle and see what is happening in the world.
I hear Paris is beautiful anytime of year. Our cousin is leaving Friday for Italy for a vacation!
At least she doesn't have any children so she doesn't need a babysitter and her house is a Smart Home with Alexa turning the lights on and off. But aren't those babies cute?
She also has a drip system for her beautiful flowers so they won't need someone to come over and water them while she is gone. She thought of everything.
However, we just don't want to be gone overnight anymore, so I think we will just take our usual day trip around the area. Do you want to come along for a ride?
Hi Cheryl. Sounds like you are so ready for fall and the cooler weather. Just think here where I live, Spring has officially arrived along with the Blackbirds who are having fun scratching away in the fresh Bamboo straw that my daughter spread in the garden. They can be a real pest at times with the damage they do but they are only looking for grubs and insects so doing good in their own way. They have such a lovely song. Well, I did manage to spend some time in my garden this afternoon. Planted two Coprosma’s to replace other shrubs that died due to the drought conditions last Summer. Did some weeding and have now caught up on that. That was my limit for the day:).
I didn’t feel like cooking a meal for dinner this evening so pulled out a frozen meal from the freezer. Spaghetti Bolognaise. I always keep a few varieties in the freezer for times like this. Hope the rest of the week goes well for you. Hugs Pat.
This former English teacher collected a lot of apples thru the years. My hubby bought me some marzipan apples to celebrate not going back to school (I retired in 2018). -`♡´-
Good Morning! This Tuesday is a slow moving kind of day after a holiday of doing almost nothing.
Happy, we didn't do anything yesterday for Labor Day, to you! Now Taco Tuesday is here!
On Sunday, we ended up with 3.4" of rain for the day. So not much activity in yard work will be done until the heat comes back and dries out the yard.
It is another perfect day to just sit and watch the Hummingbirds chase each other around the yard and away from the feeder.
When you are all ready to go to work and your plans have changed, you just contemplate what the week will be like now.
Today would be a great day to take a drive through the country and see if Fall has started in Texas. Oh, but wait, there is so much construction of every highway, we can't make it to the countryside.
So I'll just go back to daydreaming about the Fall changes that are coming your way as we know later this week, we will see the 90's again. Blessings & Hugs!!!
Hello Cheryl, your page looks good. Hope your holiday weekend was good. It's a little cooler and drier here, thankfully. Have a wonderful new week as we
Saturday we had rain almost all day and we ended up with 2.5"! As soon as the yard dries out, the Labor begins! Mowing and Weed Eating!
I love rain, thunder and lightning! I love playing in it too! But I guess I could have dressed up for the photo opt.
I don't get dressed up for Labor Day because today should be a relaxing, do nothing kind of day. Oh wait, that is everyday!
No matter what you are doing today, share your love and your smile!
And maybe you will be one of the lucky ones to see fireworks from a distance and not have the loud noise that comes with the celebration.
Oh, by the way, my work days have changed and I am on hold for this week. I will keep you posted as I know what and when I will be working. Blessings & Hugs!
today... just breathe in God's gifts of nature...I love this time of the year, when nature starts to change, outdoor temps are going down, leaves will be changing soon...enjoy your Sunday!
