Almost everyone who works a 9 to 5 M-F work week, feels like this. I remember those days!
Some dogs (people too) are food oriented. Those make very good working dogs and service dogs. Our girls always remind Rbt when it is 5 pm and time for treats. They can tell time from one of our clocks.
Most dogs understand what you say, "Go rock the baby!" We tell Carly to go get Reba to come in and off she goes. Reba is hard of hearing and doesn't see very well anymore.
Some dogs are kind to other dogs or other animals and some don't play well with others. There are no bunnies or cats in our yard unless they are lightning fast, faster than Carly (most but not all squirrels and rabbits are faster).
Some dogs are afraid of their own shadow, even dogs have their weaknesses! None of our dogs like fireworks or thunder & lightning. After over 6 years with us, Carly still doesn't like the sounds from my iPhone or iPad when I get a message. In the evenings she runs to her crate that doesn't have a door on it but it is her safe place.
But one smile from my J Lo, and my heart melts! She can have a french fry or whatever she wants from me. Ok, all of our dogs! They are always there to welcome us back home when we open the door.
True love for each other, animal or human, is one of God's greatest gifts. My wish is that you have found that gift. Blessings & Hugs!
Hello my sweet friend! Are you close to the fires there? I know California is having a time with fires!! I had a visitor this morning. She brought us Arby's roast beef sandwiches, for lunch. I usually have a big meal when she comes. Such a pretty day here today. A bit warm for me. But all is well! I steamed mopped my wood floors this afternoon. Need the carpets cleaned! So old but still want them clean! Boyd and our neighbor guys are trying to fix his rusty rocker panels on his old truck. We drive them until they cannot be!! What have you been doing this week? Well must get on with answering coments! Hugs Shirley
Our rain has finally ended...got over 7" over the last 5 days. Anxious to get outside and start planning for Fall flowers. We will need to put more grass seed out end of this month. Always a busy time of the year. Jimmy came home yesterday. Home health starts tomorrow. I know God has a plan and we will be grateful for each day he has left on earth. Thank you for your prayers.
I know it isn't bedtime for us just yet, but after the last week and a half we have had, we were asleep before 7:30 pm last night. I finally read every sweet post from all of you and comments too. Thank you so much for hanging in there for me. Laundry is still going and bills are paid. I will see you tomorrow! Blessings & Hugs! Pam
Such a nice cool day as autumn is trying to come in the back door. These 70's degree temps are glorious. Thinking about pumpkin butter and apple butter jam along with pumpkin pie. Yes I have fall on my brain and a smile on my face. May you have a pleasant afternoon reading a special book and or sipping on a cup of coffee or maybe a spot of tea. Smiles Gloria
