My pastor, when I was young would always greet me by saying, "How are we doing mostly"? He said if he phrased it that way, most of his members would not give him their whole life story or tell him about all their aches and pains. For me I'm just enjoying a day off and my favorite adult beverage. My four legged buddy is wearing my favorite hat. As for my New Years resolution, I am leaving it up to Shakespeare for 2026. I will keep you up to date on my progress. Jazz
As another year comes to a close, we find ourselves standing in a quiet doorway between what has been and what is yet to come. The months behind us carry their share of laughter and loss, answered prayers and unanswered questions. Some days stretched longer than we expected; others slipped by before we could fully hold them.
This closing of the year isn’t an ending so much as a gentle pause—a chance to breathe, to remember, to give thanks for the strength we didn’t know we had and the grace that met us along the way. We carry forward the lessons, the love, and even the scars, knowing they’ve shaped us in ways we may only understand later.
As the calendar turns, may we release what no longer serves us and step into the new year with hope that is steady, not hurried. One day at a time. One blessing at a time. And with the quiet confidence that whatever comes next, we do not walk into it alone.
It was a nice Christmas, taking a trip down memory lane with my family;) My cousin was home for the holidays, and I haven't seen him in years. No matter how old we get, we still act like kids whenever we get together. Lot's of laughs
That is so wonderful to hear....family is the best , that is why I host a family reunion every year...just wonderful!
This year is ending and a new one will begin, but the Menus will remain. I've had to make a few changes, tho I'm hesitant to make any, I'm forced to make some. My Alyse page has longer Menus. If you'd like to see one of your favorites added, I will gladly add it.
